When we went for our scan at 16 weeks, the doc said "hmm, may be a girl". He didnt sound that sure, but do they all say it like that or are they normally more positive?? Also, he mentioned the baby wasn't in a great position.

We asked the sex with both of my pregnancy's and the sonographer was correct on both occasions .Both times the sonographer has said "I cannot see any obvious boy parts".

With this baby I was told "I would say the baby is a girl". Then went on to explain about the three white lines inbetween LO's legs which is the thing I saw with both dd's.

Gosh I do hope now she is a girl, the new carpet is lilac in LO's room and has loads of wee dresses and pink baby gros. Find out for sure I hope at scan on tues.

I have a boy and a girl

with DS it was so obvious that DH told the sonographer !

with DD it was obvious her parts were totally different ,and the sonographer said , 'i see labia'

right both times

although a friend was told her DD2 was a boy ! and wasn;t and her DH argued with the midwife when she was born, insisting she was a he !! LOL!!

We couldn't tell at the 20wk scan and had another scan done a few weeks later. Was told 'it's a girl'. I did ask if she had any doubts and she just repeated 'it's a girl'. Could see the three white lines clearly and her legs were wide open.

Will tell you in 9 weeks if she was right!

My friend was told 'it's definitely a boy' and her little girl is 11 months old now!

I will find the pic and scan it to show you - please dont tell ds though

For various reasons, we had a scan at 34 weeks at which we decided to find out the sex and were told that they thought it was a girl but couldn't be absolutely certain. They were right though.

jabuti · 10/03/2007 13:07

please do jampot! i would love to see it.

we've been told its a girl, and also saw the 3 lines/labia. but it will be 'confirmed' in the next weeks, since the testicles still could descend.

we dont mind either way as long as we have a healthy baby =).

The guy doing the scan started sniggering and asked a) do we want a photo and b) did we want to know the sex. We said yes to a photo and yes to knowing the sex. He gave a huge sigh of relief and said: ''Look. I wouldn't have been able to give you a photo if you hadn't wanted to know the sex....''
There was our little chap with a huge willy sticking up proudly...
He then said: ''Of course, i'm not allowed to tell you it's definitely a boy just in case....but he most definitely* is!''

We can't wait til ds's 18th birthday when the scan photo will adorn T-shirts, posters etc
