Hey all,

So I'm being induced on Saturday but have read that most inductions end in csections which I really don't want if I don't have to.

Here's a bit of background:
37+1 on the day il be induced
Reason for induction: obstetric cholestasis
This is my first pregnancy and first baby.
Baby is head down but not engaged

Can't think of anything else that is relevant.

Given the fact il be 37+1, I don't need steroid injections do I??

Also, shall I just keep quiet and hope the induction goes well? If a section is needed then of course go with that when it comes??

Please help!!

Induced here at 37 weeks, I was already 1cm dilated so they broke my waters, didn't need a drip or pessary or anything. Within 20 mins of my waters broken I was in full blown labour, 4 hours later I was 10cm dilated, 2 hours later I was pushing. I had the epidural and it didn't work on me, so just gas and air after that, even for my episiotomy and ventouse Sad get an epidural if you can, no need to be in any pain.

Oh wow, so sorry I didn't see your update! Massive congratulations. My daughter had cord around her neck which is why I had episiotomy ventouse etc. All was well after a few days Flowers

Thank you all!

Didn't think I'd cry, didn't think I'd get the "rush" of love but you know what??

I did both!!

He is beautiful, instantly fell in love with him! he's my gorgeous & beautiful baby boy!

Yeah I thought the same too!

Cried a little through the night as I just want him next to me, so hard knowing he's in the same building but I can't go & see him.

Hopefully now he's off his drip, they may bring him up to see me again!

Every time I see him, I bloody cry!

I wish I wasn't in any pain, I could just go up whenever I want

OP the crying is completely normal! I cried A LOT when DC1 was born prematurely, similar to you I was too ill to visit him and he was in intensive care so he couldn't come to me. But I also cried (not as much though) when DC2 was born at full term and I was holding her straight away! It's just what happens in the first week or so. I cried over anything and everything! I hope you get to be with your baby very soon Flowers

If you want a laugh at how much you can cry try playing love songs to yourself. Ain't no mountain high enough to keep me from you? Yep, I actually mean all the lyrics to love songs now Grin
