My sister also had a strange craving of sniffing lemon cleaning products

Werkzallhourz it's supposed to indicate some sort of deficiency, yeah, my doctor had my bloods tested when I told her - surprisingly they all came back fine. Not low on anything. I'd be over the moon if they told me I was low on such-and-such a thing so I could get a supplement to stop the cravings! Lol! It's called Pica, the phenomenon.

Tomatoes. Tomato soup, tomato juice, I was snacking on baby tomatoes like grapes. Not sure if this was a craving or all I could stomach and face in the first trimester!

When my Mam was pregnant with my older brother she craved fruit pastille sin tomato soup, and with me it was those little foam banana sweets. With my first, I craved really cheap hot dogs and didn't really crave anything with my second!

Not strange but I developed a sweet tooth, never had one before and not had one since.
I went right off my favourite foods which are fish and Indian food.

Back to normal now

I had to have salt - big bowl of it with a stick of celery. Dip, lick, dip like a sherbet dub-dab. Before and after I only put salt on chips and don't even cook much with it!

I didn't really have any cravings :( I did eat banana and cornflakes everyday for breakfast tho (never did before pregnancy) and couldn't stomach it after ... however didn't crave it!

Everyone has asked me if I had any weird cravings and I feel like such a let down when I have to say not really, they were just normal foods tbh.

(Everyone wanted me to say something like superglue and bricks I swear!)

I went through a big phase of wanting pot noodles and another big phase of eating oranges. Otherwise I just wanted to eat anything and everything.

Being pregnant makes you hungry. (At least it did with me! Haha!)

I couldn't eat enough ice! DH used to drive to the garage to get more when I'd run out. If we didn't have any I'd freeze water in all sorts of containers and frantically check it til it was frozen enough. It was like an addiction!

Alcohol. I never drank alcohol in my life but when I was pregnant with DD I wanted Beer so badly. I'm pregnant with my second and I crave red wine when I see advertisements for red wine.

I wouldnt relate it to gender. I have 2 boys and now expecting a girl and had/have exactly the same cravings with all of them. Especially the leather one. I could chew on a genuine leather glove if it had the smelll....

Would jerky help with the leather cravings? Trying to think of food that is leathery...
