Anyone else fed up and 38 weeks pregnant?

Hi All,

Anyone else totally fed up of being pregnant? I feel like I have no prelabour symptoms and am going to be pregnant FOREVER! In addition, I've been told that the baby is MASSIVE (from 2 ultrasounds) and this makes me more scared about going overdue. They don't induce due to size in my area.

Any other people wanting to join my moaning myrtle thread ?!

I'm due 3rd Feb :-)

How far along are you now bluebelle?

I had a cry last night too. Husband was 'oh what's wrong?' I dint think he gets it at all.

I hadn't thought beyond my sweeps and appointments Tuesday and Thursday.

Pandabear123 · 03/02/2017 10:00

Had my show yesterday along with period pains then really bad back ache...but nothing. Husband says he doesn't think she will be here any time soon. Grr. ..

Pointlesscrap · 03/02/2017 13:06

36+1 today and feel like my ribs are going to break and my pelvis is going to collapse. Can barely walk now. Got a scan this afternoon see if the baby is still breach...take care ladies at least you're further along than me SmileFlowers

Sparrowlegs248 · 03/02/2017 13:44

Ah pointless you're 4 whole weeks behind me. I feel your pain on the pelvis though. I had ds by elcs due to breech, it was fine. And way easier than this bastard waiting around!!

MiniAlphaBravo · 03/02/2017 17:35

I did nearly 11000 steps yesterday but still nothing. Now 39+5. I thought things might kick off for you after your sweep notta... Bluebell hang in there, it will come soon... I keep thinking at least in 2 weeks baby will definitely be here.

Sparrowlegs248 · 03/02/2017 19:32

Blimey mini that's good going. I honestly don't think I could atm and am normally quite active! So bloody tired, spent the whole night downstairs in the armchair last night.

I was hoping the sweeps would work, at least I know that things are looking 'favourable' but that's no good without labour is it? I'm going in Monday and will remain til baby is here so not too much longer.

Bluebellevergreen · 03/02/2017 20:28

notalotta I am only 38+4 so honestly not sure how I will cope.
DH was sympathetic and lovely but then again i have suffered from antenatal depression since week 20..

Thanks mini mine could be here between now (laughs) and 3 weeks and a half. I die

PGP is so bad I cant go for walks or anything 😪

Sparrowlegs248 · 03/02/2017 20:40

It's tough bluebelle I am struggling so much more this time. I'm also wondering how on earth I'll cope with two babies, I feel guilty about ds not being the baby anymore.

I hope you don't go too overdue, not everyone does! I've been drinking raspberry leaf tea, and attempting to dtd to try and get things going.

Sorry to hear about your depression. The hormonal roller-coaster is hard enough as it is. There will be an end. X

Bluebellevergreen · 03/02/2017 20:53

Thanks nottalotta it makes it harder when people cant comprehend why we feel like this or how bad it is.
At least a friend rang and I told her and she said tell me the truth, dont sugar coat it. Because this is what these people with magical pregnancies do. Set false expectations for us all.

Some days are worse than others. DH has a day off tomorrow so maybe we will do something and distract ourselves...

I dont understand how time stops after 32 weeks but it does

Sparrowlegs248 · 03/02/2017 22:07

Oh bluebelle my own bloody mother bangs on and on about how glorious pregnancy is. Last time I was signed off for 4 weeks basically because I cried all the time. Glad your friend is providing some support.

Pointlesscrap · 04/02/2017 00:13

Just an update...baby still breech and I have been booked in for a c-section in 20 days time and I'm absolutely shitting it. Hope all you ladies have your babies quickly and safely. Just for the record I hate being pregnant don't know what's so magical about the sickness and the pain and the constant 'wow you've gone big!' remarks. Well I'm not going to look like a flipping supermodel at 36weeks am I?! Not as though I did before falling pregnant but that's besides the point. I'm sorry I'm freaked out and ranting 🙈

Sparrowlegs248 · 04/02/2017 00:25

pointless is it your first baby? I had ds by elcs as he was breech, and big. Some babies do turn, even at this stage. I had not even thought about c section, but when it came to it there was no choice. On the day they said they'd check he hasn't turned and I crapped myself at the thought of having to give birth!

My c section was great. Went in first thing, about 9am I think. Bit of waiting about as you never know what else is going to happen on the delivery suite. Walked into theatre, wheeled out with ds 40 minutes later! Calm, stress free. I had a good recovery, yes it hurts but gets noticeable better every day. Good luck!

Elliee2402 · 04/02/2017 11:58

Still pregnant here too!
40+2 now 😞
Feel like she's never going to come!! I went 6 days over with my first but don't remember feeling this fed up!!!

buckyou · 04/02/2017 12:06

I'm still preggo at 39+5. Thought something was starting last night as had some cramps but nothing. I got all excited as well!

I put a small moan on Facebook the other day about it being tiring being pregnant and looking after my naughty toddler - some stupid man put 'man up love, it's not a disease!' Grrrrrr!!! Gave me the rage!!!

Longest I will go I think is 2 weeks today.. two weeks not that long I guess but feels it.

I'm a total angry bitch as well!! Getting angry with my little girl the second she moans and the poor dog just has to look at me the wrong way..

Come on babies!

Pandabear123 · 04/02/2017 13:21

Ah it is difficult with a toddler too. I keep snapping then feeling all.guilty and weepy!! Is anyone having seriously uncomfortable pain when the baby moves? She is down so low and is still doing acrobatics! I keep gasping and clutching my husband's hand when she does it and he thinks I am in full blown labour or something!

MiniAlphaBravo · 04/02/2017 14:57

Ah buckyou I would definitely defriend him! I've done nearly 10000 steps today again and just trying to sleep on the sofA but having some mild cramping. Would be so great if it was something but probably won't be. 39+6 here.

Definitely quite snappy here too, though sh seems to be bearing the brunt rather than my toddler. She's being a delight at the moment apart from wanting to sleep in our bed most of the night all of a sudden. Going to be crowded with baby in next to me cot/breastfeeding half the night as well!

buckyou · 04/02/2017 15:50

I blocked him lol. When you are feeling shit, why do people feel the need to make you feel more shit!?

Glad your toddler is behaving for you! We've had 3 fairly major tantrums already today; didn't want her trousers on, didn't want her coat on and wanted to watch bing, NOT twirlywoos (even though she asked for twirlywoos).Hmm one positive is she is sleeping well in her room at the mo so hopefully that will continue.

I'm just getting back / pelvic pain if I walk / do too much but nothing too bad really.

achangewilldomegood · 04/02/2017 15:51

Can I join in? 40 weeks Pregnant with my third tomorrow. PGP is so bad this time around and sciatica. Can do very little at the minute which is hard as I have a 4 & 6 yr old who are hyper!

buckyou · 04/02/2017 16:11

When did you have your others achange? Must be hard with 2 young kids. Are they excited? x

Pointlesscrap · 04/02/2017 23:10

I've got 3 boys Nottalotta that's one of the reasons I'm worried about the recovery. I've had vaginal delivery with all of them and could have run a marathon after each one lol didn't need epidural for any of them. This time it's going to be different and I think it's the unknown that's scaring me. What was your recovery like?

Sparrowlegs248 · 05/02/2017 19:13

My recovery was great pointless. Yes it was sore but I was careful with what I did, but still did what I could.

It is a consideration though having other children. Ds was my first, so no others to run around after. He's a very active 18 months now and the sole reason I have decided to try for vbac this time. While last time I managed him as a newborn, and pottering about the house cooking etc, I would not have been able to lift a large toddler.

I guess it depends on the age of your boys? I have really steep stairs for example, ds can't do them alone and won't if he doesn't want to. If I need the loo I put him.in a travel cot downstairs or carry him.up. I just couldn't do that post c section so I'm not sure what I'll do if I end up with one again.

38 weeks gone. Definitely finished nesting. In the past 4 days I've painted my bedroom walls, ceiling, skirting, radiator, resealed the windows, repainted the windowsill, put a new blind up and built a new bed, cleaned out all the kitchen cupboards and gone for a 2 hour walk.
Today my energy has completely gone and I'm hoping that's a good sign. I can't wait to not be pregnant anymore. Just get this baby out of me! No wonder you forget how bad the labour is, labour seems like a god send at the moment compared to late pregnancy!
