Thought it would be fun to have a bit of a lighthearted thread about all the weird things that we go through.

Mine is that if I get cold my boobs are agony! It's like someone is pinching my nipples really hard, I've been close to tears with the pain at times. I also didn't pick a great time to be pregnant as it turns out! I have never heard of anyone else having this but apparently my mum and sister did so I'm not alone! Anyone else? Or any other random / funny symptoms?

I love reading all these!

For everyone with the boob pain, if it's your first my sister said the pain from early breastfeeding was not nearly as bad so at least that's something!

Our local Morrisons is always very cold. They keep the fridges so cold and open.
My boobs ache like mad in there.

And skin-tags Sad

And skin-tags sad

Me too. Sad I hate them.

thecatsarecrazy · 02/01/2017 22:34

Restless legs, heartburn, cramp in legs and right foot, I've now developed a painful leg. When I lay on my right my whole leg hurts and if I turn over I can hear my hip crunch. I constantly want to sniff potatoes. We didn't have any the other day and dh bought a few lose ones but they didn't smell of anything. I've not been tempted to lick any dirt but the smell makes my mouth water.

I was cooking dinner the night before I got my BFP... we were having poached eggs and I was holding the vinegar bottle. Then, I suddenly realised I was drinking from the vinegar bottle. I haven't craved vinegar (or anything else really). But that was pretty odd.

I have a patch of skin on my left thigh that constantly feels like it's on fire. Must be a trapped nerve!

Foggymist · 02/01/2017 23:03

Seahawk could it be vasospasm? I got that when my baby was four months old and teething which changed his latch, hurt like feck!

haveacupoftea · 02/01/2017 23:10

YY to the nipple skin tags.
Throwing up when brushing my teeth.
Peeing a bit when I sneeze every now and then.
Dreams about water every night - swimming in pools and the sea.

Orgasms feel different, and have done since before my positive hpt - then they were crampy, then after 6/7 weeks they felt more like a fluttery feeling around the ribs, isn't that weird Confused

Birdlet · 02/01/2017 23:16

Nipples like bloody bullets. I mean so massive you can see them through my padded bra Blush

YY to the waxy ears too. Thought that was just me!

Hyland · 02/01/2017 23:23

TheresABluebirdOnMyShoulder

Me too sneeze every day several times, like I have a cold or allergies or something.

I'm convinced I smell of wee all the time. Often changing my knickers half way through the day and having a quick rinse down in the shower.

mylittlephoney · 02/01/2017 23:28

Horny so fucking horny. I wore dh out over 7 months. When he made an unkind comment about by belly I gave up and made him go down on me instead .
Sorry tmi. But the best symptom ever.

GummyGoddess · 03/01/2017 08:29

I checked for skin tags daily and scratched them off. Never had them before or since.

flumpybear · 03/01/2017 08:37

Also with DD I had thrush pretty much the whole Pregnancy - none with DS but I felt like the life was being sucked out of me ... I had a section - suddenly I felt huge
Relief .... so much so I asked what they'd just done .... removed the placenta was the answer - that sucker was literally leaching on me!!! Confused

FrizzBombDelight · 03/01/2017 08:43

Intense sex dreams. Every. Single. Night. Blush

Flingmoo · 03/01/2017 11:28

Could the nipple 'tags' actually be your glands?

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Areolar_glands

They do become more pronounced during pregnancy.

Fun fact, you may already know this but I didn't until I had my first baby: when you breastfeed the milk doesn't just come out of one hole in the middle of your nipple, no it sprays out of lots of tiny holes all at once, like a shower head!

ALLthedinosaurs · 03/01/2017 12:00

Sore feet. With my first pregnancy I had sore cold/burny pain in my feet (like tendon pain)

DS was a complete surprise and that was my first symptom. My brain almost independently thought "oh thats weird. It must be because I am pregna... whaaat?!"

Did a test and I was. Surprise!

Last month I woke up with the cold burny foot pain again and thought "Oh wow - better POAS then" and guess what? 😂

celeryeater · 03/01/2017 12:09

I had orgasms in my sleep, it was one of my first pregnancy symptoms. Not as fun as it sounds though because it would cause massive painful cramps that would wake me up and one time nearly causing me to black out. As the pregnancy went on the cramps got less painful and more of an ache. I would say that I had about 30-40 sleep orgasms throughout my pregnancy.

Aki23 · 03/01/2017 14:11

Yes to the boobs and hairy belly

I remember crying one night because I couldn't stand the smell of my husband and the next night because I smelt awful to myself - I bathed every night and used unscented products as couldn't stand any smells!

Blueroses99 · 03/01/2017 14:22

I have a patch of dry skin on my left hand between my little and ring fingers. Started days before my first BFP and I have it now in my second pregnancy. Midwife says it's not a thing but it definitely is for me. All other symptoms have been quite different between the pregnancies but that one is the same.

ChristmasSeacow · 03/01/2017 14:53

Yes to libido increasing - unfortunately the extremely painful nipples are preventing DH from benefitting from it Grin.

Nipples - so sore that when I turn over in bed at night and they brush the sheets I wince. I just cannot tolerate them being touched AT ALL.

My sense of smell is superhuman - it is normally pretty good but right now forensics could use me. This is not an advantage living in a city.

And I just want to eat crunchy nut cornflakes all the time. Don't like them normally.

In my last pregnancy I got leg cramps at night from about 20 weeks onwards. Had me bolting upright in bed and screeching - took years off DH's life! Looking forward to them returning in a couple of months time... Hmm

PaddlingFuriously · 03/01/2017 15:01

Psoriasis cleared up both times - that was fantastic.

Last time round, I could hardly ever move my bowels which resulted in my blocking the toilet every time I went. It was mortifying! And this is the first time I've admitted it to anyone 😂

catx1606 · 03/01/2017 15:07

The left nipple feeling like it's being electrocuted and I've just started with the excess saliva. I've just got back from holiday, fell asleep on the plane and had dribbled all down my chin Blush

Cuppaqueen · 03/01/2017 15:13

Has anyone else developed spider veins? I have a huge purply-blue bruise on my left calf that appeared pretty much as soon as I got my bfp 😕 Thank goodness it's winter so I can hide it under tights and jeans. Doc says it is the precursor to varicose veins but may clear up by itself after the birth - I bloody hope so!!!

daisygirlmac · 03/01/2017 15:39

I smelled like a hamsters cage until about 25 weeks. It was horrible, I couldn't stand the smell of myself and no matter how much I washed or what I washed with I still smelled (DH noticed too so I know I wasn't imagining it)

Seahawk80 · 03/01/2017 17:07

Thanks for sharing everyone!

These are cheering me up at work after I went into the cold kitchen and of course I'm now sat at my desk with agonising boobs!!

Re the painful nipples and the poster upthread who mentioned vasospasm - that's what I have. I've had it since I was a teenager and pregnancy makes it worse. It's agony. My poor old nips go black, then white and lose all blood flow. It's Reynauds for the nipples and the pain's sometimes bad enough to make me retch.
