I am 7 weeks and 3 days pregnant and really struggling with nausea. I don't fancy any food at all but I know I have to eat as otherwise I feel faint and shaky. Today I went to the gym at lunch time and then when I came out I must have walked into about 5 food outlets and walked straight back out again as I couldn't face any of the smells let alone eating the food, this was followed by me aimlessly walking around panicking and getting teary which is just ridiculous!! Anyone else have similar issues? Really hoping this gets easier soon... we have wanted this for so long but now its here feel like I am worrying all the time and the nausea is just making everything so hard!

Oh and eating beige food in the first trimester seems to be the norm - I'm a big vegetable eater but gagged at the thought of broccoli

Yep plain food with no strong smells - I ate a hell of a lot of dry bland carbs during the day and could usually eat a small varied dinner with a bit of veg in the evening when I felt slightly better.
I managed to do long shifts in a physical job on not much more than oatcakes, bananas, and sometimes a plain yoghurt or custard for quite a few weeks and DS turned out just fine! Smile (he also loves oatcakes!)

DS is six months now and I can still remember the horror that was morning sickness. I had it from bang on seven weeks to around 36 weeks and it felt like all I could eat/wanted to eat was utter shite. Bread bread bread bread bread and salt and vinegar crisps and those awful cheese and onion slices, like sausage rolls? Fizzy sweets too. Ginger didn't help at all, but ice cold sprite was a god send - only in a can though, not from a bottle.

Chip shop chips drowned in vinegar, minted peas (think an entire jar of mint sauce) and mashed potatoes as well.

I feel for you, OP, it's a horrible feeling!
