Feeling exhausted - when did the tiredness end for you?? 😵

I'm 11 weeks today and the tiredness has just knocked me out completely. I need a new word for tired. I was tired around the 8/9 week mark but this is something else, I feel like I have flu without symptoms. I work from home thank God. But we're making plans for Christmas etc, and I'm just thinking, I don't know if I'll physically be able to sit upright at the table!

So please tell me, if you had this, WHEN DID IT GO? Please give me hope - or else prepare me for the worst ...

Thank you Smile

Forgot to say, they've checked my iron levels and they're fine. Which is a pity as it means there's no easy solution!!

Not helpful, but for me it didn't! It possibly eased a bit in second trimester but I never got the burst of energy they talk about. Now that baby is here it's a whole another level of tired...

scaredofthecity · 01/12/2016 16:09

Well my DS is nearly 2 and I'm just starting to feel human again...

spacefrog35 · 01/12/2016 16:12

My dd is 8 months, there's no sign of it letting up yet Wink

ommmward · 01/12/2016 16:13

somewhere around the child's 4th birthday IIRC (it's all a haze, tbh)

Helbel82 · 01/12/2016 16:18

I was absolutely exhausted very early on until 14 weeks. I couldn't do anything apart from struggle through work and collapse on the sofa at home. Then at 14 weeks it was like a fog lifted and suddenly I had a lot more energy. I'm now nearly 25 weeks and starting to feel tired again so waiting now for it to hit again in the third trimester.

Stormcloud10 · 01/12/2016 16:58

My ds is 7, if you find out let me know not helpful

ppeatfruit · 01/12/2016 17:01

Funny I only had this with my 3rd (I was so tired I had to stop my part time job. ) yes it lifted at about 3 months . But giving up wheat can help with exhaustion if it carries on and you eat too much!

SpotTheDuck · 01/12/2016 17:04

About 14 weeks, and then second trimester was pretty good both times. Third trimester gets more tiring again.

So if you're 11 weeks now, hopefully you'll be back to your normal energy levels in time for Christmas, most people seem to feel pretty good in second trimester.

BreatheDeep · 01/12/2016 17:06

About 15 weeks for me. Then I was OK until about 28 weeks when it started coming back but not quite so severely. At 36 weeks it was full on exhaustion again

FruitCider · 01/12/2016 17:06

My child is 4. I'm still exhausted. In fact I think I'm more exhausted having an energetic preschooler than I was during pregnancy/with a young child. Sorry to break the bad news.

jbee664 · 01/12/2016 17:09

I feel your pain...also 11 weeks and just woken up from a nap!

Uiscebeatha85 · 01/12/2016 17:09

My DD is four months, my eye bags are RIDICULOUS

Uiscebeatha85 · 01/12/2016 17:11

Try to enjoy this pregnancy despite the tiredness. This is your 'luxury' pregnancy so have naps, lovely long baths and massages when you can. They'll also be in short supply when baby comes.

TerriB84 · 01/12/2016 17:28

About 14 weeks for me too although this did coincide with a holiday which probably helped. I then felt pretty normal throughout the 2nd trimester and the extreme tiredness has only really come back since about week 33 (I'm now 35 weeks and counting down the days till mat leave!)

RebeccaNoodles · 01/12/2016 18:01

Thanks all ,well I did ask! Grin I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for a 14-week respite.

Helbel that's exactly what it's like - a fog. I know obviously having a baby/child is more tiring than anything else ... but this is different from that hollow feeling you get when you haven't slept. Feels more like post-viral fatigue. Thanks for the giving up wheat suggestion peatfruit - that would be tricky right now as nearly the only things I can stomach right now are toast (and crisps) due to nausea.
I was going to be all healthy and do Pilates every day ... But after a long slog ttc, I'm not complaining!
Hope everyone gets some rest soon ...

36+2 and still waiting ..!

Bubbinsmakesthree · 01/12/2016 18:33

21 weeks and no sign of respite yet! Sad

SprogletsMum · 01/12/2016 18:35

I'm 20 weeks and apart from 2 days last week I've been absolutely exhausted. Right now I need to be cleaning my house that the dc have trashed but just the thought of it is making me want to cry.

SunnySideDownUp · 01/12/2016 18:37

After giving birth! I feel like a new woman, even with a newborn and having had a section.

I did get less tired in the middle, but it didn't last.

JellyWitch · 01/12/2016 18:38

I think it got better after he turned 3. Then I had another baby and we are in the sleep deprived zone again (she's 2). Pregnancy was a walk in the park compared to juggling work and sleepless nights!

ALongTimeComing · 01/12/2016 18:38

Does it stop? I'm in the toddler years, it's got worse not better I think.

isthatpoisontoo · 01/12/2016 18:41

A few weeks after birth. She's nine weeks now, and I'm still tired, but at least it's tiredness because I was up in the night, and I can push through it to enjoy a walk in the park. Pregnancy tiredness was awful.

Graphista · 01/12/2016 18:44

Dd almost 16...I'll let you know Wink

Seriously around 15/16 weeks when pregnant

coffeecakemum · 01/12/2016 18:44

Hi Pl get vitamin D levels checked if you haven't already done it. I had a deficiency and needed to take supplements. Lack of sunlight can cause deficiency and can make you tired. Ignore if you already considered it
