thought it might be a good idea to get one thread going for the spd sufferers to chat, give/get advice and just moan about how it is quite liderally a PITA!

i will start - fembrace SUCKS!!!

otoh, ice packing the si joint and pubis at night before going to sleep is very soothing.

I bought a large MATERNITY PILLOW from grobag (www.grobag.com). It really, really helped me sleeping at night, instead of trying to arrange myself around ordinary pillows.

The pillow is the length of an adult and can be "squidged" into different shapes. It moulds itself to your shape, plus the cover and interior can be washed in machine and tumble dried.

I still use it now as I can't sleep comfortably without it.

It costs about £30, there's a smaller one for breastfeeding which I haven't tried but the large one is FAB. When you are sitting up it is a lovely back pillow too.

The website will tell you where your nearest stockist is if anyone is interested in buying one.

I was on crutches for the last 3 months of my pregnancy and basically housebound due to the severity of the spd. The pillow was my lifesaver as at least I could get some reasonable sleep.

Tootifroots, just to say if you have emailed I didn't get it. Not prodding you, obviously, will leave it to osteo to do that.

SPD can be greatly helped with specialist reflexology techniques. i have had good success using this on pregnant ladies. so there is something else to try.
