Hi
I woprked for a pre-eclampsia support group (PETS) but more importantly I had the same symptoms as you, so I hope you don't mind me sharing my story.
Its been on here enough before.
At week 34-ish my BP started to rise and my son was notecto be small (He is 7 now btw). I was ent for assessment, by which time the BP was back down, and I had to listen to the MW berate my MW for wasting her time.
I was referred to the local unit to have my BP checked and reassured it would be ok>
For the next few weeks the pattern was: go in for check, high BP, get sent to maternity unit in next town (a consyultant led one), get BP checked, get told to P off (eefectively anyway). A few times I was kept in overnight. I ahted it there.
fast forward now to week 38, I hadn't amnaged a few days out of hospital since initial BP test.
I go into MW unit. BP is high, I beg her not to send me again_ she agrees, as lionga s I come straight in or call should I be symptomatic. I go home.
At teatime, ex calls he has had a car crash and nobody to talk to. Duringt his call, DH notices my body going limp, by the end i am lying on the floor.
Shortly after I start to fit.
Dh takes me straight to the local unit, they take me in and I have a bigger fir, they call main unit and are advised to send me there by ambulance (blues and two's) but won't OK the MW's request to perp me for a c section.
get to hospital at 1 am, or thereabouts.
Consyltant takes bp, all OK, 'you'd go home but its the middle of the night, got o the ward and home as soon as it light'.
Next day on ward, not discharged, sent for a scan but nody will talk to me.
day after, go for a shower, Consultant leaves note- 'baby not growing will induce today'. So induction started, baby boy delivered next day weighing 5ln 5oz- ptrevious scans show he has lost a lb in utero, he has complications during delivery but bloods lost and Consultant wouldn't attend or consider doing a c-section (I think they were afeared of HELLP syndorme which can complicate surgery massively).
I didn't get a DX for a further three years, but knew it was Pre-eclampsia. had to moce to another area to get a DX.
FAst forward 7 years, ahev 3 kids, sone who was affected is disabled though I don't know if its related to his birth.
So yes, rising and falling BPs can be a feature of Pre-eclampsia- but its not always taken as seriously!
I wuld search for these two on the net: APEC and PETS (preclampsia and toxaemia support), the second I am involved with
Good luck
