Okay 22 weeks. Had period type pains maybe 3/4 times to day but I though nothing if it. Have been dribbling all day as well . bout 30 minutes ago I was standing making tea and had a massive gush of white mucus and I mean loads enough to soak PJ bottoms and when I put my hand on outside of bottoms it was pure white thick mucus. And was really warm. Slightly freaked out as I'm only 22 weeks and this amount of mucus can't be good. Has anyone any advice at all pls ?

Any update OP? Hoping everything is ok

mummypig3 · 01/08/2015 18:14

Hope you're OK op

Pancakeflipper · 01/08/2015 18:20

Another one checking to see if you are ok..

Got everything crossed for you and hoping all fine.

pickledparsnip · 01/08/2015 18:21

Please please go to A&E. My son was born early. Got checked at the hospital as my waters were leaking, was told I must have wet myself. They continued to leak for a few days, eventually a midwife came out and confirmed it was my waters and had to go in to be induced. I wasn't at the early stage you are at, you need to be checked again. Make sure they listen to you.

mummyneedinganswers · 01/08/2015 22:12

Just thought I'd give yous an update. Got checked at maternity they listened to heartbeat and said all is fine although I still haven't felt any movement at all so I'm still worried. Told them about my tummy pain which they weren't concerned about AT ALL . they don't seem to be concerned about anything these days. I'm physically and emotionally drained, last few days have been hell, I'm at my metabolic consultant on Tuesday so hoping they can get a midwife to scan me to check her out. I'm so pissed off the midwives were rude and generally had no patience and insinuated that I was overreacting about not having any movement which didn't go down to well, I wish that hospital wasn't the only one in my area that deals with high risk pregnancies or I would swiftly be moved as I have lost all faith in them, at the start of my pregnancy I had a ruptured ovarian cyst which they told me was ectopic and tried to send me for surgery to remove the baby, then they told me a few days later the baby didn't survive to trauma of the cyst bursting etc.. But I'm 22 weeks and they seem to just get everything wrong so I'm sorry if I sound ungrateful but I'm not convinced everything is OK. I've had 4 miscarriages before this little fighter and I'll be damned if they think I'm going to roll over to there excuses anymore.

This is MY baby and MY body !!

Sorry for the rant just so pissed off at the constant lack if communication and dedication I have received so far xx

Your hospital sounds like it has a lot to answer for right now! I know NHS hospitals are rushed off their feet (as I found today when I went to my hospitals maternity assessment) however after everything you've said it would seem like they're being very inconsiderate.

Have you considered going for a private scan? It would be better if your hospital offered one but since they seem to think everything is ok perhaps a private clinic could give you some much needed reassurance as to what is going on.

My cousin went to a private scan and picked up a problem then told her hospital who did something about it. Luckily everything was fine but if in doubt I'd say just get yourself a private scan to save you being fobbed off any more! X

mummypig3 · 01/08/2015 22:39

Thats terrible! I second going for a private scan x

applecore0317 · 01/08/2015 23:02

I would definitely try and get a private scan if anything to put your mind at rest. With me they simply listened to the hb and then checked my cervix, but I was already under the consultant and having internal weekly scans due to a weak cervix.

Also I would try and do something that relaxes you then lay down and focus on your baby. Whilst you are anxious is may make it harder to feel the movements. Hope you get it sorted OP, especially giving the journey you already have had x

MyPelvicFloorTrainsItself · 01/08/2015 23:06

Try not to worry and get lots of rest.

Diamondsmiles · 01/08/2015 23:13

How frightening. Hope you get some reassurance soon.

Newtobecomingamum · 01/08/2015 23:22

Good god OP your hospital sounds awful! So sorry you are going through this worry. I agree with others if you can afford it get a private scan x

pickledparsnip · 03/08/2015 19:43

How are you?

Doublebubblebubble · 03/08/2015 19:48

Any news mummy xx

Please don't let them tell you you're wrong! I was 23 weeks when I had a couple spots of blood I ignored it went for an hour nap woke up again to al of pressure on my vagina and bum straight away I new something wasn't right. They told me to take paracetamol and go for a walk I did and then my pains started. Two phone calls later.. Still wouldn't allow me to be seen. 3 hours and a phone call from my mum saying she won't take no for an answer they let me in. It was too late. I was 10cm. 2 days later after my little man was kicking away with a healthy heartbeat he was stillborn. I had a weak cervix.

I'm really sorry if this story distresses you, that honestly isn't my aim. You have to go with your instincts!

I had a couple of spots of blood with my daughter they said it would be nothing.. I wouldn't take no for an answer they kept me over night scanned me the next morning and within hours they rushed me for a stitch at 17 weeks. She's perfectly healthy now Smile
