Okay 22 weeks. Had period type pains maybe 3/4 times to day but I though nothing if it. Have been dribbling all day as well . bout 30 minutes ago I was standing making tea and had a massive gush of white mucus and I mean loads enough to soak PJ bottoms and when I put my hand on outside of bottoms it was pure white thick mucus. And was really warm. Slightly freaked out as I'm only 22 weeks and this amount of mucus can't be good. Has anyone any advice at all pls ?

Don't let them fob you off- if you need to be seen again, insist and take back up for moral support.

Waters are not usually white though, more a yellowish clear liquid from what I remember.

mummyneedinganswers · 30/07/2015 21:35

Im not convinced it was my waters but that amount of mucus can't be right it soaked through PJs bottom in a sudden gush , the pains very strange like period pains dull ache in back and lower tummy thighs area again I don't think they r contractions but defo not normal x

Please go back to hospital! Don't let them fob you off, ask to see a consultant.
I don't want to scare you, as every situation is different, but I had dull period pains, then a very small mucus-y bleed at 23 weeks - I gave birth two days later! But if you are seen, then there are things they can do .... Put a stitch in, or if it's beyond that (as it was with me) then theyll give you steroids/magnesium drip to give your little one the best chance if they are on their way.
It could be nothing (fingers crossed), but if you're not 100% sure, please go back, even for piece of mind x

*peace of mind

MummyPiggy87 · 31/07/2015 12:15

Is everything ok now op?

After reading this i remember this happened to me about 2 weeks ago, wearing my pj bottoms I had a gush of water which soaked my knickers and pj bottom area. I didn't really think about it, how silly of me!
Baby is still moving around okay tho so I guess she's ok?! Bit worried now :-/

MummyPiggy87 · 31/07/2015 12:15

Oh and I was 22 weeks also, I'm now 24 weeks

mummyneedinganswers · 31/07/2015 12:28

Thanks guys pains have settled not completely gone but more uncomfortable now than anything. Haven't felt her move as much as before before she's moving slightly so if I still don't feel her by this evening I'm going straight up as this will be over 2 days now x

Please go back to the hospital now and tell them there is reduced movement. Don't wait and don't let them fob you off.

Doublebubblebubble · 31/07/2015 12:33

Go now PLEASE! This has been going on for far too long now and reduced movements should always be monitored. I don't want to scare you but as someone who has had a stillbirth of twins, the earlier you go to the ward the better. Don't go up later to people please. What difference will going up later do??

MummyPiggy87 · 31/07/2015 12:41

I just called antinatel triaged about what happened to me, they've said if the water didn't continue to come out and it was just that one time which didn't soak down mine (and your) legs then it's more than likely just normal fluid/discharge/mucus passing. If your concerned though I wouldn't hold off, if your instincts are telling you somethings not right it's usually correct!!

mummyneedinganswers · 31/07/2015 21:37

NHS is an absolute joke ! I'm never one to ddiscussour health care system as Ialways generally found it quite good but starting to lose faith. So today as u know felt reduced movements. Phoned maternity at 2 oo'clock to ask could i come up and get cchecked out. They suggest I lay down for a while and drink some freezing cold water and eat something sugary and if nothing phone backagain withing few hours. So iI try all of this and still nothingfine back to be told that im only 22 weeks and theywouldn'tbe concerns do over no movement att this stage. Safe to say Iddidn'treact very well told her that iIwas concerned and would be happier if i could get checked out. She proceeded to say that there was no cause for concern as baby is still so small at this stage and can stop moving. So I give it another few hour and phoned back again a half an hour ago to be told im over reacting and if there not concerned i shouldn'tbe .... I am going out of my mind with worry, anxious and feel like something terrible is wrong and no oneis taking me seriously x

I have felt no movement from yesterday lunch time which to me is a very long time for a baby to hide

Go to A&E and they will have to see you. Hope all is ok

RJnomore · 31/07/2015 21:44

Have you tried taking a very cold drink to see if you feel movement? I'm not sure if it works early on. I'm so sorry you're having this worry. Do you have a community midwife through your gp at all? Mines was great.

Fugghetaboutit · 31/07/2015 21:45

Yes go to A&e

Gileswithachainsaw · 31/07/2015 21:45

Go to a&e

if there's no portable scan they should at least be able to listen fir a heartbeat

crazypuglady · 31/07/2015 21:46

If maternity triage aren't willing to help then I'd go to A&E in your situation. I'm really shocked they're not doing more, this has been going on way too long.

Lucy61 · 31/07/2015 21:49

A&E NOW!

Doublebubblebubble · 31/07/2015 21:50

You know your baby. You know your body. If you feel that something is wrong follow that intuition. Call 111 or your out of hours gp (they can refer you) if the antenatal ward are being difficult. Which they are imo. They certainly shouldn't be treating you like this, when you're clearly in distress and having reduced movements and pain/discomfort. They are meant to look after you and certainly shouldn't be feeling put out because they are having to do their job.

Doublebubblebubble · 31/07/2015 21:51

Actually just go to a&e PLEASE x

mummypig3 · 31/07/2015 21:53

Hope your in a&e now getting seen x

ejclementine · 01/08/2015 14:01

How are you getting on?

MummyBex1985 · 01/08/2015 14:05

Hope you're ok.

I had something very similar in my last trimester with DD and it was nothing to worry about. Just a bit gross. FX it will be the same for you too!

Fugghetaboutit · 01/08/2015 14:36

Checking in on you too, Op
