I had very severe HG when pregnant with ds. Was sick the whole way through pregnancy. Hospitalised at 7 weeks and unable to get out of bed till 10 weeks. Vowed never to do it again. However broodiness is getting the better of me and I would like another baby. Dp is horrified at the thought of me going through another pregnancy like my first one. He thinks we would be unable to cope especially as we now have ds. Has anyone else had any experience of HG. If you had it in your first pregnancy did you have it in subsequent pregnancies and if so was it as bad?

The consultant told me to focus on fluids as they are more important to keep down than solida, even if it is sips every 15 mins.

Dehydration is also a cause of nausea and vomitting so you get it double bubble if you can't keep on top of the fludis thing.

Hope you find something thakt helps

Oh, it's really okay, I'm used to it now. Am even casually typing this with mouth full of water brash because I can't be bothered to go back and puke again just yet. They take the baby out tomorrow morning, first thing, so this is really the last of it! And I'm not allowed to eat after 6pm, so there will be no more food sickness like ever. As everyone who has it will know, feeling sick just starts to feel like the norm after a few months. I can't even imagine waking up and eating a croissant. Hope this doesn't scare the shiznit out of anyone just embarking on the journey. I have not had it as bad as most of the people on this thread.

It is best to focus on the fluids, sadly these are the hardest for some women to take- me, typically. Int hat case, we advised women to focus on foods high in fluids- lettuce is a good one, melon- that sort of thing.
