I am 8 weeks pregnant with severe morning sickness. I went to Tescos to do a quick shop as I am feeling so horrendous and now I am pregnant I parked in mother AAnd baby as it is closer to the door. I had just got out of the car when a woman about 65 came storming up to me shouting where is your child to which I replied in my tummy. She kept ranting at me and I explained my morning sickness is awful and I just wanted to get in and out. After more ranting I got a bit fed up and told her in future maybe she should mind her own business and think before she attack someone. She then told me to F off and she was going to report me. So she headed off to customer service and reported me, after she had left I went and asked them what was their policy. To which they said there wasn't one and they apologised to me for her behaviour. They were then worried as I felt so ill I nearly passed out. Has anyone had this before?? I am now feeling extremely Ill and Just want to cry.

And a doctor's surgery couldn't offer you any water? Or was it tap water? I can totally see why you would rather be hospitalised than drink tap water containing the dreaded lurgy

LoveLetters · 19/06/2015 16:32

Rink as I said. I don't have time to play games. Ta ta

Having seen a few other posts I can see why you'd use one of these spots when heavily pregnant actually, the extra space is handy. I wouldn't get wound up about anyone using them though, just silently tut on my head.

hmc · 19/06/2015 16:32

I'm feeling very contrite DameDiazepam

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 19/06/2015 16:33

Rink was being nice Shock

LoveLetters · 19/06/2015 16:33

Anna I need alot of water to help get away from Being dehydrated. One drink isn't going to fix it. I bought a six pack of bottle water

Surely the doctor would've offered you water if you were on the brink of hospitalisation? Hmm

No Rink from the beginning has tried to have an issue with everything. That's fine but I'm pretty much done with talking to her now she doesn't agree.. That's fine. Move on

What I want to know is what did Tesco themselves have to say about it?

There was no excuse for anyone to be ranting and raving at you anyhow.

MTWTFSS · 19/06/2015 16:34

I wish you'd walked up to her and sicked up over her Grin

I have also been shouted at in Tesco (separate issue). Maybe Tesco folk are just plain nuts?!?

LoveLetters · 19/06/2015 16:35

This isn't about what I went to buy etc etc
I just wanted to let other women in my situation know they are fully entitled to park in those spaces and I hope they do. Goodbye

Huh? Rink's comment about not driving if you're almost ready for hospitalisation which I assume is what you objected to was a sensible one which reads to me as concern about you. Is there really a need for such a spiky response?

Knowing how weak DS1 was on the many times he was admitted to hospital with dehydration, I'm surprised you had the strength to drive or engage in a slanging match, tbh!

UnapologeticallyUnreasonable · 19/06/2015 16:41

Jeez Loveletters, your attitude really stinks. You posted, on an internet forum, to bang on about where you parked. And then when people tell you they don't agree with what you did, you get on your high-horse. You sound a bit like a bit of a brat if I'm honest. I really hope your pregnancy progresses well and that your sickness eases so you never have to take your chances with lurgy riddled tap water.

glasgowlass · 19/06/2015 16:43

I tend to carry a bottle of water with me wherever I go, maybe that could be something to consider OP? Dehyrdation + driving really isn't the best idea so having water on you at all times would be beneficial. Hope you feel better soon.

GingerCuddleMonster · 19/06/2015 16:47

I only drink the tears of dolphins...bottled water...You peasant Shock

batteredlanger · 19/06/2015 16:50

Actually 'hard' tap water is better for you as it contains lots of calcium. For me the real issue here is the water thing!

MrsCs · 19/06/2015 16:51

Lol, just noticed the reply to mine. I had diagnosed HG while pregnant, medicated and nearly hospitalised. Any sympathy I may have had for you has evaporated with your behaviour. What a spoilt diva!!

Loiterer · 19/06/2015 16:52

Look you're only 8 weeks pregnant you're clearly emotional so I'll put that down to your terrible attitude towards people on here. But your original post did say has anyone else had this?? not I just wanted to draw attention to Tesco's parking policies

Fwiw I don't see why your opinion about parking in parent and child spaces is more valid than Rink's, who has told you she a one year old and newborn twins.

Hope you feel better soon though.

Frillsandspills · 19/06/2015 16:54

I don't think you did anything wrong, I think some people just love taking the moral high ground. Clearly there were other spaces left, no need for anyone to be so disrespectful and to swear at you. How rude.

annatha · 19/06/2015 16:54

The point of P&C spaces is that you have more space to get prams, car seats, heavily pregnant bellies etc out. The woman was unreasonable but you shouldn't have parked there and your justifications for feeling faint and nearing hospitalization suggest you shouldn't be driving, so I hope for others drivers sakes that you are exaggerating.

PotteringAlong · 19/06/2015 16:56

Charley, of course she shouldn't have crawled there. She should have drunk the tap water and waited at the drs until she felt better and was safe to drive home. That would be the same regardless of it she were pregnant or not.
