I am 10 weeks pg with 3rd, I did not feel like this when I was having my previous DC I would definitely remember the misery.
I haven't had a "normal" meal in 6 weeks, I'm struggling to eat anything on a daily basis and when I do I'm fighting to keep it down.
DP keeps informing me that I need to eat like he's all of a sudden become a fucking expert Hmm
I miss feeling hungry or looking forward to cooking a lovely meal, the thought fills me with dread
Sorry to be a moany bitch but no one understands or seems to give a toss really
I MISS YOU FOODSad

I found plain almonds really me with the nausea. Because they're small and bland, just that tiny bit to eat seemed to settle my stomach, and it wasn't as daunting as being faced with a whole cracker (not that they're exactly huge!).

It meant I could keep a handful with me all the time and it didn't seem too retch-inducing to make myself eat 2 or 3 as I knew it would make me feel better.

Plus it felt like there was some good nutrition to them which made me feel better on a psychological level.

Good luck OP, you have my sympathy. I'm 19weeks and have only started feeling better in the last 3-4weeks.

People only suggest ginger biscuits so they feel a sense of knowledge, its utter bollocks!!!!!
I went into the village to do some shopping in hope of inspiration or a spontaneous craving for a certain "something"
I spent £52 on bits and didn't actually get anything for myself other than a bottle of fanta and a packet of strawsConfused
Im mustering up the courage to force a couple of crackers down my neck, I'm hoping the midwife will take pity and prescribe me something, if not I'm going to pester my gp til he takes notice.
He actually told me to make milky tea and add 4 sugars to drink!!!!!!!!!!!! Utter plonker

And thank you to you lovely ladies once again, it is so much appreciated
Ive felt as if people think I'm attention seeking, like I'm almost enjoying moaning about how ill I've been feeling

I also found that an inch or so of cloudy Apple juice (the cawston or copella were good) and then topped up with tap water (ie. Use the juice as if it was cordial iyswim) worked well as something I could drink and got rid of the horrible dry mouth/constant thirst feeling.

For some reason I just couldn't stomach plain water, or even squash etc as that was too sweet, but that just seemed to do the trick. Also worked well by having it in a mug with hot water as a tea/coffee replacement of sorts.

Plus it also didn't trigger the horrible teeth sensitivity that I seemed to have developed in pregnancy whilst eating anything vaguely hot, cold or sweet (as an aside, my dentist suggested taking a calcium and magnesium supplement for the teeth problem and seems to have solved the problem)

And I i agree with you about fucking ginger biscuits! Gah!

Sending sympathies, I was in tears at 10 weeks too. Luckily my ms had pretty much gone by 14 weeks (had a blip on Saturday) but I can finally eat again. However my meal sizes are that of an 8 year olds and it takes me aaaages to eat as I get full up so quickly.

During bad ms I found I could just about manage the following

Jacket potato
Crisps (esp s&v)/
Plain cooked prawns
Cheddar cheese
Melon

Coca cola was my saviour. Without that I'd of passed out!

3rdbump · 22/01/2015 20:16

Big hugs i know exactly what its like.

I had HG with my 1st and 3rd pregenancy now am on my 4th and am 22 weeks and was very sick till about 19 weeks or so. Its only these past few weeks i finally feel normal again.
I went the docs at 12 weeks and got some meds, they took the edge off but you have to keep taking them. I found not eating made me feel worse even though eating was the last thing i wanted to do. Drinking cold drinks such as small cartons of orange juice with a straw or fizzy water helped.
Hope you feel better soon x

I'm at the midwife at 9.15 so hopefully she will take pity on me and give me something
I can't drink the diaoralyte sachets they are making me more sick
Fingers crossed I get some help today

Diet coke was my friend. Not lots, but it helped settle my stomach and made me feel full.

losthermind · 23/01/2015 08:15

I'm going to try coke, I bought fanta yesterday, it was sippable with lots of ice through a straw, its strange because I don't drink pop usually, usually I go for carbonated water

Oh lostherground, I've so been there, it's hideous. I was hospitalised several times in both pg up to around 16 weeks and didn't eat a proper meal in this time. Hardly ate a thing sctually, it all just came straight back. The sickness and nausea eased massively after 16 weeks, but I ate mostly prawn sandwhiches, toast and marmite and grapefruit juice after then, both pg!

This website might help.

losthermind · 23/01/2015 08:52

Bikerunski thanks for the link I'll have a good nosey at the site later on, just setting off for my MW appointment now
I'm hoping she's going to be some help to me seeing as both GPs havent
