Sorry, that should say ' lots' of Ivf negatives not list.

ladybunnikins · 24/02/2015 10:19

Since Marilyn is 45 and has had several IVF cycles I expect it was donor eggs. I've been lurking on the ttc thread and I hope jellie gets a BFP this week.
I think the FB group is a bit more active than this thread at the moment.
Fluffy it must be nice for the MW to come to your house for a break! I shadowed a HV for a day as a student in Doncaster and it was definitely a day of contrasts.
Scanned myself yesterday and still breech. Smile

greatbigbushybeard · 24/02/2015 21:22

Ah so you're all off having fun elsewhere eh!! I don't do Facebook so do keep chatting here you non face bookers & face bookers to keep us in the loop.

I really want jellie too as well. She's so upbeat & positive & so much effort has gone into this. It seems to have gone well so really hoping for here we need a bfp to get things going on there.

I know feather & rp would talk about spinning babies as being good to get baby to move. I think you can google it.

Weird twingey feelings continued today. Also got asked by a parent was I pregnant. Was a bit awkward as didn't know what to say. Said ' oh crikey, is this top that bad' & she looked mortified!! I used to work with her so in the end told the truth but asked her to keep it to herself. Hopefully she will.

Came home early today & tried my friend's pregnancy DVD, really lovely & relaxing, dh came home to see me lying on my yoga mat, under a blanket having just finished my relaxation!!

greatbigbushybeard · 24/02/2015 21:24

Really hoping for her, not here!!

pearlcrystal · 24/02/2015 22:12

Hello ladies! Sorry for being a bit absent have been busy coordinating the house move which we are now in the middle of...
lady I am under strict instructions not to lift anything so have mostly been making cups of coffee and doing lots of washing up and throwing things out today. Can't wait to be in the new house tomorrow!
Only 3 weeks at work for you, how exciting! Your baby's got plenty of time to shift into the right position still - hasn't it? Although, as you say an elective c section might be quite a nice option, no surprises.

bushy I know what you mean about maternity jeans and to be honest maternity clothes in general being really comfortable. I am in serious danger of never wearing anything with a waist line or a belt again, pregnant or not Grin.
I have Tracey anderson preganancy exercise videos that I do to try and keep a little bit fit but will also be starting pregnancy yoga from April. I had to wait to get a place as apparently my local area is experiencing a bit of a baby boom. (Actually this is not hard to believe , in my husbands cardiology department in the local hospital of the 10 or so doctors 3 are expecting a baby and all in August!)

fluffy glad your midwife visit went well. I am sure there is no such thing as a silly question for them, they must have heard it all before ! Let us know how your scan goes tomorrow

feather rp how are your little girls doing? And how are you?

otters how are you getting on? Have you given in to the lure of maternity wear yet?

I found out yesterday that a close friend is also expecting and due just 2.5 weeks before me, it was so lovely to speak with her and exchange experiences as it's her first as well.

But in general and at work especially I'd much rather not discuss my pregnancy in any great detail. As you say bushy it seems to become the only topic of conversation. Even my (male) line manager starts each of our meetings by asking me if I'm eating and resting enough. I know it's kindness and care but am concerned that it might cloud his view of what I can (still) do and as my contract has still not been made permanent

ladybunnikins · 25/02/2015 07:56

Now that it's breech I want it to stay that way! I did all the Hypnobirthing prep but that's because I'm scared of a vaginal delivery and convinced I would need a post-dates induction due to family history. A nice elective section at 39 weeks would be my dream birth (but who gets their dream birth?)

ladybunnikins · 25/02/2015 08:18

Bushy those twinges probably are the fetus, the first movement I felt was a rolling over motion, and then nothing for a few days. Are you trying to keep it quiet until the 20 week scan?

ladybunnikins · 25/02/2015 12:34

Did anybody watch this last night? I've just watched it on iplayer: www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0544gy8/childbirth-all-or-nothing

RevoltingPeasant · 25/02/2015 17:38

Lady how are you doing? How many weeks now?

Can you just request ELCS as maternal request? Might set your mind at ease? If not, fx for continued breech!

All fine here. Dorothea was a month old on Monday, will be 5 weeks this Fri Shock She's had her first full bath as opposed to topping and tailing (she screamed and pooed in the bathwater), she has been to postnatal Pilates (she pooed on my hand in the middle of the class), and she got weighed by the GP as finally being over 7lbs! (She pooed on the scales.)

Somewhere there's a theme developing....

The odd shocker aside, she sleeps quite well - last night, bed at 12.30am following cluster feed, slept till gone 5am, then back to bed around 6am and slept 8am when she was cold and came into my bed till 9am. Really not too bad!

So don't let people terrify you about the sleep, it might not be dreadful totally waiting for some godawful regression to bite me on the ass

Can we do a list, I'm lost now.......

ladybunnikins · 25/02/2015 18:33

RP you can't really ask for an elective for maternal request only in my area anymore, NICE guideline is only a guideline and not a protocol. Maybe if I went in crying my eyes out but that's not really me. Having an actual reason would be great! I'll see what happens and I'll keep listening to the relaxation mp3s!
That's great that you've got a sleeper, my new niece (nearly 7 weeks) is now giving my sister 7 hours continuous sleep! I hope it's genetic!

ladybunnikins · 25/02/2015 18:45

Fluffy hope the scan has gone well.
Chloe and Bair how are you getting on?

(((Steps in nervously and waves)))

Hi lovlies! Are my ears burning? I'm a bit nervous about graduating here but here goes! I've had my beta today at 166 and will have another on Friday for my peace of mind! I'll have to read back a few pages to catch up but I'm thrilled/terrified to be here!

Pixie001 · 25/02/2015 20:51

Waaaa jellie!!!!! Grin Grin Grin
So Prague went well?! I'm so so delighted you got a positive and hope it continues to snuggle in and make itself at home. Find yourself a seat on the copter!

Pixie001 · 25/02/2015 21:14

Good work on list update lady you even got my updated EDD! Good work. Hope you get your dream birth!
Bushy hope you're not panicking...just over a week, that's nothing to wait in comparison to what you've done so far who am I kidding.
Hope everyone's having a good week, aren't suffering too much from symptoms and everyone's progressing well. Sorry for lack of posts, work's manic and been busy with various elongated birthday celebrations. Smile

pearlcrystal · 25/02/2015 21:37

jellie so nice to meet you! Congratulations! Looking forward to getting to know a little more about you and your pregnancy over the next few months. Sending you and your little poppy seed lots of good vibes.

lady thanks for the link to that programme - I just watched it with interest. I could not believe the speed with which a c- section took place! I loved the babies and the women in it but thought it was a bit of a shame that it seemed to play on stereotypes that are not very helpful like the 'pagan woman' having a free birth and the 'posh lady' having an elective cesarian. It almost made it seem like these women had only followed their social trend rather than actually making a considered decision about what is best for them and I don't think this was actually true in any off their cases. What did you think?
Thanks also for the list update and for updating my due date, I know that it will be a little boy too (well to 98%) so will add that next time we do a list.

rp your post really made me giggle with little D's pooping becoming a bit of a trademark. I am amazed it has been over a month and it sounds like you are doing amazingly well and getting done enviable stretches of sleep.

pixie good to see you! Glad you're well and celebrating.

We've moved into the new house today - hooray! All was going well and I hadn't really done any lifting or work other than a bit of cleaning and lots of faffing and then around 4 o' clock as I was unpacking some boxes I suddenly started getting cramps and feeling nauseous and tired. I was then banished to the sofa and felt utterly pathetic as DH had to do everything. What a wimp I am!

ladybunnikins · 25/02/2015 22:05

Welcome Jellie and good luck for Friday, keeping fingers crossed! When will you have your first scan? Is your Prague clinic linked to a UK clinic?
Pearl I felt cheated by placenta smoothie lady, she only added a tiny bit, no wonder it tasted like berries! Now if she'd fried it and served it up with some fava beans and a nice chianti it would have been more impressive, although disgusting!

greatbigbushybeard · 26/02/2015 00:26

Just a v quick post to say woo hoo to jellie, so, so pleased for you!!! Will post properly tomorrow x

pearlcrystal · 26/02/2015 07:40

lady Hehe, very true, although surely she gets some bonus marks for eating it raw. I wonder how much of it she actually consumes by the end of the week. Surely placentas go off at some point?

I saw an advert for a company that will take your placenta and convert it to powder or pills for you to take

ladybunnikins · 26/02/2015 07:55

I bet it's cheaper to just take a multivitamin!

FeatherFeather11 · 26/02/2015 12:14

Congrats jellie!! Hoorah! Nothing like a Berrie bfp!

Sorry I've been AWOL. First week of Cleo has been beautiful and crazy and physically demanding because of the csection. Will write properly soon - boy, do I have a couple of tales to tell! - but just wanted to drop in and say HI!
Xxx

Hi all!

Bushy when is your scan again?

Lady that is a shame as I can see it would really set your mind at rest. You wouldn't consider going private for a CS I take it? Anyhow fx for continued 'malpositioning' - !

Jellie welcome! :) beginning of an exciting, roller coaster journey!

Feather I'm so glad for you. Do come back and tell us all about it! And don't worry if sometimes you feel down or overwhelmed or ratty sometimes, it will pass.

Pixie001 · 27/02/2015 18:46

Jellie how did today's bloods go? Hope going in right direction still.

FeatherFeather11 · 27/02/2015 20:17

Yes, jellie, how did today go? Thinking of you.

Lady, I'm sure you've done your research but if you're after some fresh, new first hand experience, ask away! There's loads I didn't know but probably because inhalant looked into it.

rp thanks. Have to say the sleep deprivation of the last few days has been really trying. Cleo just won't go to sleep unless she is laying on my or dh's shoulder/chest. We have tried and tried to get her I. The bednest, and even bought a sleepyhead pod yesterday. She goes in for ten mins and hates it, wakes up, has a massive tantrum and then we repeat the cycle. I don't know what to do.

Pearl: congrats on the new house!

too tired to type any more but hope everyone is blooming marvellous! Grin

Jelliebabe2 · 27/02/2015 20:48

Thanks everyone! Yes today's bloods were great! Risen from 166 to 471 in 48 hours! Eeeeeeep! Could be twins!

Lady B. - yes my clinic has a clinic in London, so all pre tests etc at clinic, treatment away, then bloods here! Really handy

Pearl wowie! Hope all went well with the move and you're not overdoing it!

Feather - Cleo looks and sounds amazing! Hsvev you trued warning her bed with a Hot water bottle? I've heard of people having a success with that. Dont leave it in obvs! Grin

Pixie001 · 27/02/2015 21:52

Fab news jellie! What's your next appt?
Happy weekend copters. So exhausted and massively relieved it's the wknd. Any exciting plans? Apart from Pearl who I imagine will be mostly searching through boxes. And feather and rp not sleeping.
