Right so I'm 15 weeks pregnant and massive! So I've finally decided to cave in and get some maternity clothes however I can't find any that I like! There just doesn't seem to be a very good selection in any of the stores....that I can see! Anyone got any good suggestions? Or know of any websites? I'm only 27....I don't want to look like a frump, lol! Thanks!

I would also recommend Primark. I got two pairs of jeans (£3.50 each!) and a skirt and a couple of tops. The selection isnt the biggest, but its v reasonable price wise. I have wore the skirt for about 5 months for work, and only now is it starting to look a little drab (but I am finishing work on Thursday, so not too worried!)

Wow thanks guys, loads of ideas! Firstpregnancy2014 that dress looks lovely, I'll have a look at that! I've just got two pairs of trousers from h&m in the sale £10 each....can't complain! And a lovely stripy dress in new look, but that's all I could find! I need to hit the websites tonight! Just begrudge spending too much, lol!

Peacocks also have reasonable stuff. Ive just inherited a big bag from a friend from there.

If there is an asian community where you are then shslwaar kameezes are great, esp those massive drawstring pants.

The mamas and papas jeans are the best ive found but I get mine second hand off ebay. dead comfy.

New look. New look. Great stuff and cheap got my best bits there. Got some expensive jeans and they were massive and crap and didn't fit. New looks under bump skinny jeans I wore day in and day out.

Tops I got away with non maternity until about 30 weeks. Didn't do trousers until 21 weeks.

I lived in maternity jeans, maternity vests and accessorised with own cardigans and scarves. Embrace the capsule warbrobe, buy little, get mix and match colours and go for elasticated waists. You can wear them after birth too.

Yeah I've been making the most out of my tops and my summer dressers, it's just the trousers and skirts that have been getting uncomfortable!

20 here, felt the same way you do! Went to Topshop and LOVE it, also love asos and new look. Topshop dresses are super comfy.

I did as pp suggested and went for more of a capsule wardrobe - bought fewer items of mat wear from Topshop (more expensive) rather than lots of stuff from ASOS/H&M etc. Topshop was the only place I felt had stuff that meant I could still look like me (and I'm 34!) I found almost everywhere else too frumpy.

That said, I did pick up two beautiful dresses in the Mamas & Papas sale, to my great surprise! I also wore some non-maternity stuff until I was too big not to - voluminous shirts and tops from non-mat Topshop and other places like Zara. Just be careful wit how things are cut - I sometimes bought stuff and took it home to try on as was too big, hot and bothered to try it on in the shop, only to find the cut rather than that size was weird because of my bump - for some reason especially maxi dresses. Happy shopping!

I bought 6 maternity dresses from ASOS, all between £15 - £30, which I've been wearing throughout the whole of maternity leave. I like them because they're pretty and comfortable to wear, and they're cheap, but that's OK because you don't expect/need them to last beyond 9 months.

I also bought one pair of black trousers and one pair of black leggings, to wear with loose T-shirts and sweaters at home.

Jenninlw · 18/08/2014 10:22

I've bought all of these brands but a lot off eBay - everything bought had been great quality as most has hardly been worn!

Try www.blossomingbump.com mainly dresses but have some reasonably priced ones that are good for all occasions.

Gap have a 30% off sale today with the code BDAYGAP as it's their birthday or something.

I've just ordered 3 long sleeved t shirts in different colours for just over 20 with free delivery Smile

My friend told me to stock up on vest tops and although they aren't the smartest thing to wear I think they're going to be very useful, they stretch, can be worn with jeans or skirts, don't have to be maternity - mine are from Matalan. Also when breastfeeding it's really useful to wear them under another top if you are trying to feed discreetly.

I found that primark skinny jeans are great. Mothercare are great for some tops, Next have been fab for workwear and some other bits and pieces. Maybe if you fancy a treat, new statement jewellery is a good buy.
