Just curious really, I'm 34 weeks and if I'm going around a corner and lean forward to double check my ribs are in agony as baby seems to love resting his feet up there.

Was it possible to drive at 36 - 40 weeks I feel fine driving at the mo but my mum keeps nagging me saying I shouldn't lol

No, I stopped at about 36 weeks, but my baby is breech so really high up and it felt too uncomfortable. I've hated being immobile!

I drove in early labour, I was at MILS dropping off DD and was desperate to get home Smile

Yes, until 41+5 - the day before DD2 was induced. With DS, I drove 60 miles during the day, went into labour about 10pm. With DD1, I was up a ladder trimming the hedge at 41+1... She was born later that day :-)

I've been lucky to put on a small amount of weight, and have a neat bump though - plus I am lanky with long legs and arms to reach the steering wheel...

With DD I got too uncomfortable at about 37 weeks, but would've happily carried on otherwise and with DS my bump got too big for me to fit behind the wheels and reach the pedals! (I have short legs and he was nearly 10lb Grin) That was about 38 weeks.

Like WoodBurnerBabe, I am a lanky, long-legged type, so drove up until the day before each of the DCs was born. I do know someone who had to stop at about 35 weeks, as she was rather short and couldn't safely reach the pedals!

Soontobesix - people who havent carried on have explained why, so that might help you to understand.
