Hi there
I just got my BFP and am super excited but I have no symptoms whatsoever and am really worried that this is not a good sign

only thing is cramps in my legs, and tummy similar to start of AF and yesterday intense jabbing pain for about 2 hours which was a real worry until it finally went - relief

I know its very early but is any of this normal or should I be worried about the jabbing pain or lack of normal pregnancy symptoms?

any advice greatly received x

Such happy new isn't it :) I just cant believe it to be honest - I guess thats why we crave the symptoms xx we can be happy that's for sure.

ChicaMomma... Now January sales are a BRILLIANT idea - definitely going to be doing that!!

Love

Perhaps January sales will be a bit to hasty for me actually haha - See... just getting over excited!

I know this may sound loopy but I though I new I was pregnant 9 days past ovulation - because I felt just...weird! and wanted to sleep all day. I would have bet on it.

:)

It's completely normal not to have any symptoms.
I had two miscarriages in the past and with both those pregnancies I had enlarged boobs even before bfp. This time nothing. Boobs flat as always, no feeling sick, no vomiting.
And the 9 week scan showed a nice little heartbeat and perfectly fine baby.
And yes, I did have three beta hcg tests as I was so nervous I'd lose it. They showed hormones doubling avery 48 hours. But I've also heard from people whose hormones didn't double and who went to have successful pregnancies.
Congratulations and good luck to you all!

No symptoms till 8 or 9 weeks, no sore boobs or anything. Did have horrid jabbing pains though, just like u x

I really don't know if this is a symptom of pregnancy and Im just keeping every last thing crossed that it is but I am now having the most horrible cramps which is exactly like I would get just before AF is due and a feeling (sorry in advance for TMI) but like the feeling you get just before AF when you have to rush the toilet with a tampon as it feels like yr going to leak - soz again for TMI - but then when I get theres nothing. The cramps are continous and not shifting at all :(

omg - I really do hope this is normal - it feels too scarily like AF is just about to come and Ive just imagined seeing that bfp all along

if anyone has a similar experience please let me know Id be so grateful

now Id really rather like my lack of symptoms to come back as this feels all too scarily like AF is just appearing

Any advice greatly appreciated x

thanks chocolate and mummyluce - are the betas something yr gp can organise?

I have asked my gp and he REFUSES to do these for me so does anyone know where I can get these done or if I have to get these done privately? Am pretty desperate to check that everything is fine especially due to my last experiences :(

hey isit, I did have those really bad af-like cramps, they came and went about every couple of hours all last week. They seem to be easing off, I try to imagine what is going on in my uterus, it must be preparing in some way... anyway, I find it helps to google lots of biological facts just to picture it. Sometimes wish I had a little telly screen and could look inside! That's just because I'm an anatomy freak....
Anyway I wanted to do a digi this weekend but when OH and I were at the shops we looked at the price and thought "eeeek!" I don't need to spend that much money in the lead up to christmas, so have just avoided it. will prob keep doing the cheapies I have every few days just to check the line sticks!

Hello there.... I got my BFP this week too!! Congrats to all who have new BFPs! how exciting.

My calculations say I am 4 weeks and 5 days. Felling very tired, VERY hungry and have exceptionally sore boobs. My Dad hugged me on Sunday and the pain almost took my breath away!!

Trying very hard to play it cool. I am off to the Dr tomorrow to have everything confirmed and all being well we are planning on telling our family on Christmas day!

I love having MN for a bit of reassurance. I guess we all have to remember that we are all different and our babies will also be very different!

Good luck to all!! :-)

flymo79 · 02/12/2013 12:14

oooh teabag, me too! hopefully can tell the family on christmas day too!
good luck with the doc's, let us know what they say xx

isitnearlyteatime · 02/12/2013 13:08

welcome and congrats teabag - that's quite a few of us who got our bfps last week - hooray for us all :)

I think Im about the same as you teabags in terms of dates but I'm not getting the sore boobs or tiredness but everyone is different and apparently we've been told it seems normal that some get symptoms and others don't - do hope that's right :) its just what I've gleaned from MN!

yes MN is great to be able to chat to others who are all going through it and hopefully we can get reassurance along the way too
yes I'm really hoping to tell people around Christmas too if everything is ok - a little bit cautious as Ive had previous mcs but really hope to be able to tell everyone then

Love your explanation flymo of being an anatomy freak - me too :) I have googled far too much in the last few days - so much so that I've forgotten to do all the DPs washing and he was not happy about that at all - I must now go to GA - googleholics anoymous!

did a digi and it said pregnant so that's good :)

I know it has been a few years... but what was your results? Going through the exact same thing after a few mcs this year
