Hello again,

I'm 39+4 today and getting sooo fed up Grin just want the little guy here!

On the other hand I'm totally dreading actually giving birth, I'm awful with pain lol but I know it'll be worth it.

I'm just hoping he makes a move as I really don't want induced Hmm

Anybody else feel like time has suddenly slowed down these final days(/weeks if we go to induction)?

How are you passing the time?

great news albie. hope yours progress better than mine have.
still contacting irregularly. after googling (I know, I know...) have now convinced myself that baby is back to back and that's why I'm not progressing. dp is asking whether he should go into work and don't know what to say. I selfishly want him around to help with ds1 even though I may have another day of stop start contractions. also I don't want him to start his 2 weeks off in case I've got another week of this (or more!). rant over.
anyway hope everyone else is ok and things get going for you all.

AnMum · 29/11/2013 08:53

DS2 born last night..proof that they arrive eventually!

Monkeyandanimal · 29/11/2013 11:34

Congratulations Anmum! Well done!

chillisbopper · 29/11/2013 13:04

Congratulations AnMum Thanks

They've booked my induction...Friday 13th December Blush! Although apparently they'll start the process on the 12th sooo could be either of those days really lol. Sweep also booked for next Friday in hopes of avoiding needing said induction. I'm hoping the little guy hurries up and comes before then so that I can be spared that particular indignity, fingers crossed!

Hope everybody else is progressing nicely Smile

Congratulations AnMum how lovely x

chillis you're due today too like me if I've got it right. No signs here. I have my sweep booked for next Friday when I see midwife, haven't seen her since 38 weeks though so no idea when my induction date would be. I also really hope I won't need any of it.

I've kept busy today, had my hair highlighted this morning Grin

Think I may be low in iron, so I've had a delicious beef barm, dark chocolate & some liquorice, all washed down with orange juice. I also have a cold still so hopefully the extra iron will help to get rid of that too.

I've explained to my 2 DC that a due date doesn't actually mean that the baby will arrive on that date, but I think they're both expecting to come in from school and I will be home with a new baby.....I have an hour still until the get in Grin

chillisbopper · 29/11/2013 14:55

Labradors I only got my induction booked this morning, up here they want to see you every week now, I was in at 37 weeks then 39 and 40 with sweep at 41 and induction (if I need it) at 42. But they say you see the mw more with your first than with subsequent babies.

According to mw LO is engaged as much as he is going to be until I go into labour now, hoping that's a good sign!

morning all. Just a quick update to say my beautiful ds was born yesterday morning weighing decent 8lb 2oz. Had a stop start labour since my sweep on Wednesday and then contractions ramped up in intensity on Friday night. ds born in a birthing pool in the end which I would highly recommend if you can use one. Good luck everyone. Grin

chillisbopper · 01/12/2013 09:09

Thanks CONGRATULATIONS Thanks

That's such wonderful news! Smile
I'm glad your wait is over and that the birth went well Smile xx

Congratulations Chilli81! Enjoy your lovely newborn!

Bit jealous now though, i'm 4 days overdue and counting, and not a twinge!

chillisbopper · 04/12/2013 13:53

He's finally here!!!!!! SmileSmileSmile

Our little man Leonidas was born at 00.55 on 03/12/13 in the water pool using just gas and air! So proud of myself lol Grin.

Laboured at home for a day and a half as the latent phase took FOREVER but active labour at the CMU only took 3hrs 15mins.

He's so perfect and I just couldn't be happier, he's worth every bit of the pain.

I hope you ladies have all been having your LOs too and that's why you've been so quiet. Congratulations to those who have and good luck to those still in waiting ThanksEnvy

Congratulations chillis how lovely! well done. What did he weigh?

Well, I'm still pregnant. 5 days overdue today!

I've been having quite bad headaches for a week plus a bit of blurred vision & generally feeling pretty crap. Went into hospital today and they checked me out, everything seems good & no signs of pre-eclampsia which was my main concern. They gave me a sweep whilst I was there so we have everything crossed that it might get things moving a bit, I'm still having Braxton hicks that wake me in the night, every night!!

Just want to have my baby now please Grin

Chilli81 · 05/12/2013 02:54

great news chillis. Sounds like a lovely labour.
good luck 2labs. it was the sweep that did it for me so fingers crossed. Wink

2Labradors · 05/12/2013 08:51

Thanks chilli I'm hoping so. I've had period type pains but nothing that is making me think that things are starting. Lost bloody mucus since the sweep and more again this morning so I'm hoping something happens today.

It's horrible, windy & wet here but I'm going to get myself out & about, fed up of resting & waiting for things to happen (my headaches have been making me lie in bed a lot). Got to collect a parcel from asda to think I will potter around there, scaring people when they ask me when I'm due Grin

BlackholesAndRevelations · 06/12/2013 18:23

Hi all! Is it too early for me to join yet?! I'm 38 weeks today but have felt rotten the last two days, and since this afternoon have been having painful braxton hicks and dull period pains low down. It's my third baby. I know this could go on for the next few weeks but I'm hoping it doesn't as despite the fact the house isn't ready at all, I'm not sure how much longer I can cope with my toddler and preschooler!

How are you, monkeyandanimal? And others still waiting, hope they get a move on soon!

Congrats chilli and chilli, anmum and anyone else I've missed! Flowers

cantheyseeme · 07/12/2013 17:28

Im in VERY slow labour, had 2 sweeps now they were concerned with not much fetal movement and kept me in lastnight, monitored us toxay all is well and im a whole massive 2cms dilated!! Back home, having a chilled night gonna wrap the girls presents and maybe order an indian if im feeling brave! Hope youre all well! x

2Labradors · 07/12/2013 20:42

Good luck canthey hope it all happens soon for you.

I'm 8 days overdue now. I was monitored today & baby's heartbeat kept dropping a bit. Got to be monitored again on Monday & then induced on Tuesday, if he doesn't make his own way into the world by then. I've had 2 sweeps now though and nothing has happened.

cantheyseeme · 15/12/2013 10:50

Hope all is well and everything is ok, my dd2 was born on the 12th after a half elective section, they thought i had pre eclampsia so said stay and have a section or wait for bloods to come back and make a devcision then, so i stayed and now home with my beautiful bundle of 7 pound 4 joy :) Section terrified me but all forgotten Grin

BlackholesAndRevelations · 15/12/2013 21:10

Congrats canthey! Grin Flowers xx

2Labradors · 15/12/2013 21:28

Congratulations canthey Smile

My beautiful baby boy was born on 10th Dec weighing 7lb 11oz after an emergency c section. It was all a bit scary, but very very quick from walking through the hospital doors to him being born.

We came home yesterday. I've been a bit poorly but am definitely on the mend. Our baby is just amazing Grin

Good luck to all those still waiting
