I'm due Thurs, I have a strong feeling I wont be going into labor anytime soon.

I go to bed quite early to rest and watch tv, it doesn't take long for the pain to kick in, the shitty pain that feels like you've just been kicked in your vagina apart from that, absolutely nothing!!

Fed up of having to fake a smile when people say 'he not here yet?, or aww he'll come when hes ready' I know that but MY body is ready NOW!!! arggggggggggggh...................

A couple of weeks ago I was panicking I wouldn't have a new car in time for baby! I gave up looking and came across a really good deal.

I said to oh if we just stop expecting him to come, he might come? Meh I've tried everything else so its worth a shot! I'm actually being rather ok about him not making an appearance, for now!

Good luck Spoonful, hopefully the rest of us wont be too far behind! Smile

spoonful good luck!

I need to sort my moomin out ASAP. And legs. Not sure if I trust dh with my moomin though.

SleepingWithABrokenHeart · 25/10/2013 17:08

I have a question about a show!! TMI btw.

Do you loose it all at once? I basically went to change my pad and had a bit of mucus, but it has a tiny, (it was tiny but obv enough for me to notice something was different!) red/pink bit.

I had a quick look on google images (I have a strong stomach) and it was not as bad at those but there's def some in there! So I wiped and just more mucus no blood e.g. so is it possible to just loose it a little bit? Hmm

SleepingWithABrokenHeart · 25/10/2013 17:09

Ive never had one before so I'm not sure what expect, maybe wishful thinking.

Yes it's possible to lose just a bit. I lost quite a lot when I was 37 weeks, and then started losing more throughout this week (39). Its not always bloody either.

mycatlikestwiglets · 25/10/2013 21:51

Thanks Bummy for your post up thread which really made me laugh! You say very eloquently pretty much how I feel Grin

littleomar · 25/10/2013 22:09

Hello I've been lurking. 36 weeks today but twins and was expecting them to be early. Stretch marks suddenly started appearing yesterday. I hurt all over and I'm really pissed off with everyone and induction not until 4 November. None of the DIY stuff is working.

hoping things start for some of you overnight!

Excited85 · 26/10/2013 05:50

Ok I honestly think I could cry. Now 8 days over and despite having regular tightenings yet again yesterday they just stopped in the night. I honestly thought baby would be early or at least a few days either side of d day. I know baby will come when it's ready but I just feel like I'm letting everybody down. Added to that I have promised work I'll be back in in January (this is a crucial time of year and will set up all my business for the next year) I'm getting really worried with every extra day that passes.

Please someone tell me to get a grip before I sink into self pity!

FrogsGoWhat · 26/10/2013 09:10

No ordering of grips here - but I'll hold your hand! 4 days overdue now and been getting a few hours of contractions most nights for a week which then stop. Yet are just enough to fuck up my sleep before the toddler wakes...

Ah well, DP has taken her swimming for an hour so I should be napping now.

GreenGiant3 · 26/10/2013 09:53

So last night I had my bloody show!! Smile Happy with that, shows something is happening, been getting tightenings that are keeping me up most nights but come to nothing Sad hopefully I won't be long....

Does anyone know, the bloody show comes after the mucus plug? (Been thinking I've been losing it bit by bit all week) and apparently the bloody show is due to the cervix opening (possibly dilating) is this true?

Thanks x

purple84 · 26/10/2013 10:04

Greengiant I don't know the answer to your question but wanted to wish you luck x

mycatlikestwiglets · 26/10/2013 10:21

Ooh exciting GreenGiant! I don't know the answer either but I think the bloody show is the start of things. I had one about 6 hours before my waters broke last time so fingers crossed for you!

Excited85 · 26/10/2013 10:44

Not sure Greengiant, I had bloody bit if show in thurs but the rest of it has been fairly clear and last bit (I think) came out this morning. Definitely a step in the right direction though!

Lj8893 · 26/10/2013 12:13

greengiant I think it all comes under the same thing, basically the bloody show is part of your mucus plug.

Some people don't have a bloody show at all, just a show which is losing thier mucus plug.

Either way, its all a good sign things are moving in the right direction!!!

SleepingWithABrokenHeart · 26/10/2013 14:30

Well, I don't wanna jinx things ladies but I've been out all morning looking around the shops. We were going to go for a walk this afternoon but it may have to go on hold because I've been in so much pain all morning!

I never knew what BH felt like and wasn't sure if I was getting them or not but I've been getting pains they last about 10 secs so I'm now writing down when I have one to see if there regular, I think their probably just BH but oh thinks it might be the start of early labour!

OP posts:
Lj8893 · 26/10/2013 14:47

Fingers crossed for you!!

SleepingWithABrokenHeart · 26/10/2013 14:52

at 2:22 they were every 6 mins, now I'm having them every 5 mins. Midwife said to call if there every 5-7 mins, but I'm not sure how intense they need to be?

With dd1 I got told I wasn't in labor because I wasn't on the floor screaming basically, turned out I was and was very lucky to not give birth in the hospital lift. Maybe I'm just better handling at hiding how much pain I'm in for god sake!

I'm going to see how I go for the next half an hour and maybe give my midwife a call to see what they say.

OP posts:
Lj8893 · 26/10/2013 14:57

Yeah I would give them a call.

I keep thinking that too, yes I know for the majority of women labour is painful, but there are some that just get a few twinges and that's it. How will I know if I'm one of those lucky women?? My mums friend felt hardly any pain with any of her 3 children!

BummyMummy77 · 26/10/2013 15:27

Good luck! :)

I spent 3 hours carving a pumpkin last night. No easy task considering I had to do it in between my legs as my back hurt so much with my pumpkin in the way. Must have been a funny sight.

I'm going to go throw up now and go back to bed.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasExhausted · 26/10/2013 16:02

sleeping it sounds like things could be starting for you (I'm not Envy at all honest Grin)

Best of luck

bummy huge pumpkin and huge belly don't sound like a good mix, I bet it looks good though.

green any news after your bloody show?

GreenGiant3 · 26/10/2013 19:47

Whenshe, nothing worth reporting tbh, some random tightenings, that just don't seem to be going anywhere, it's such a long dragging process ConfusedGrin

Every niggle I'm wishing it's going to keep going on but I'm sadly mistaken! Just ordered a curry! I don't even like curry but il give anything a bash Grin on birthing ball sipping on some raspberry leaf tea... God I know I'm probably wasting my time doing all these "remedies" but I'm willing to try anything once!! WinkSmile

What about everyone else? Any signs of babies?

Lj8893 · 26/10/2013 20:16

I have certainly had some contractions today!! But very far apart and fairly mild. But its all giving me hope Smile

BummyMummy77 · 26/10/2013 22:12

I've come to a conclusion. All these things DON'T work.

I've been bouncing on a ball, mainlining raspberry leaf tea, eating the world's hottest food, eating whole pineapples, foot zoning, walking lots even though it's agony, trying to have sex (too fat) for a week and nothing.

ChaffinchOfDoom · 26/10/2013 22:21

try the opposites Grin

mild food, keeping still and relaxing,

SleepingWithABrokenHeart · 26/10/2013 22:23
