Yes! Happy Birthday to me indeed! Fanks for all the Cake I would say 'nom-nom' and 'it was awesome!' but I would have to stab myself for being an irritating twat. I digress..

Come here, ladies who have survived IVF and are now battling the first trimester nerves and scans. We did it...we did it!! Grin

maybe - hope you are feeling much better soon, how many weeks are you now? D you need to tell work at all - what has gp put on yr certificate? Legally work don't have a leg to stand on - but where I work (male dominated to say the least!) it wouldn't go down well so can sympathise.

I seem to have returned to lurking a bit - just don't feel very interesting compared to you lot! Work, feel sick, feel tired, lie on sofa, go to bed - other than trying to plan our emigration not much else going on!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 03/09/2013 13:07

Oh wim I forgot you are emigrating!!! When's the big move?! How far along are you now?

I'm 11 weeks today. Work do know. My boss knew from day one, and I've asked her to tell my team today, as I feel like they should know why I'm not pulling my weight.

I'm just hoping baby is ok now Hmm

PramQueen1971 · 03/09/2013 13:59

Wim, how can you be uninteresting when you're emigrating and work amongst lots of penises?

Where are you fleeing to? you lucky lucky bitch

Marbie, when the landlord razes this house to the ground he is building six new 'uns in its place, so you can imagine the size of this labyrinthine fucker we live in. It used to be a children's home and before that was a retirement home for crumblies. The corridors are eerily like those in the Overlook Hotel in The Shining. Very scary at night, and I'm not easily spooked.

Pram, 14+3, trying to come off antidepressants and feeling manic and shouty Sad

Oh wow Pram your abode sounds beautiful!! Please say you have a log burner or open fire. My dream is to have a house like yours.

What a selfish arsehole knocking it down like that.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 03/09/2013 14:02

Oh, and shout at us all you need x

PramQueen1971 · 03/09/2013 15:02

Oh, Marbie, you have sadly got the wrong end of the stick: our house is a giant, maze-like bungalow (crumblies don't do stairs) with endless dark corridors and millions of bedrooms leading off in a very institutional manner. Only the kitchen is modern. Every other room is just a mish-mash of retro carpets and really old furniture. There is a selection of psychotic artwork splashed over every wall, either painted by a deranged old person or one of the naughty children who used to live here (it was a home for disturbed or damaged kids).

I have a giant bureau here in the lounge which looks 11th Century, I kid you not. I have four giant sofas in this lounge (we have four lounges Hmm) and none of them match; not only in colour but texture and size. It's hilarious. The doors are all self-closing cumbersome things designed for nursing homes. There are sixteen bedrooms and five bathrooms. All ugly and uniform. We have a jungle instead of lawns and an incongruous shed plonked haphazardly in the midst of it all which looks as though Dorothy just landed in the Wizard of Oz.

But, here's the thing: I love this house and it has been our home for two years now. I love that the house is 'too big to clean' and visitors (what are they?) automatically concede that it's simply one of those shabby places you could never keep on top of but remains rather kitsch because of it. The cats and me run riot and we are nestled in the foot of Rossendale valley surrounded by tors and reservoirs. We have no neighbours to speak of. It's deathly quiet and I love it.

..erm, no open fires, I'm afraid. Too much of a fire hazard for past residents, I guess.

Oh Pram it sounds amazing!! I wish you didn't have to move, Prambino would have such fun exploring!!!

MotorcycleMama · 03/09/2013 18:32

That's good you've got signed off work maybe - you've been struggling along for a while now. If you can't eat properly, you need to be resting and conserving your energy a bit. It will pass soon - hopefully sooner than two weeks so that you can enjoy a bit of your sick leave!

Hi wim - it sounds like you are struggling a bit too! The tiredness is a killer isn't it? Mine seems to be easing off a bit now - I kept up with all activities over the weekend, which was a first for a number of weeks. Again, it will pass, but you probably have a couple more weeks of it at least! Are you enjoying the planning for emigrating, or is it very stressful? I get paralysed with anxiety when I move (and I've moved many, many times) because Im a bit OCD so get very distressed when everything has to come out of it's usual place to be packed and moved. Again, it passes!

pram your current home sounds amazing! How is the searching going? I'm slowly easing my way into the IVF worriers thread now I have passed the 12 weeks and feel confident enough to actually say that I am pregnant (there, I said it again!) How are you doing confidence-wise now?

Hi caip - dip in and out as much as you want! There's no minimum contribution required. X

PramQueen1971 · 03/09/2013 20:00

Motor, yes, the confidence is there and I am no longer allowing the demons to tell me that this baby is likely to be snatched away. It is bizarre but it is the very God who has gifted me this miracle whom I fear the most. I have to stop myself from praying that He won't 'punish me' for my past life and take my baby from me.

Can someone tell me to stick to my guns and not find out the sex of my baby in a couple of weeks? I so want a baby boy that I feel I may need to prepare myself if it's a girl. Mum thinks this is un unbelievably ungrateful attitude after going through the miracle of IVF but that's the way it is. I wouldn't be devo'd about a girl, obvs, but, you know...

I agree Beetle.
I've just been to the loo and there was a bit of pink when I wiped... Is that ok?

PramQueen1971 · 03/09/2013 21:21

But, Beetle, what if the baby comes out a girl and I fling it in the nearest bin?

Caip, how far along are you? Pink spotting is fine; lots of red blood or clotting accompanied with severe cramps is more worrysome.

Caip · 03/09/2013 21:27

Thanks pram. 7 wks 2

PramQueen1971 · 03/09/2013 21:47

Have you had an early scan yet? Are you due one?

OP posts:
Caip · 03/09/2013 21:53

I had one on Thursday and everything was fine

NoMaybeAboutIt · 03/09/2013 22:28

Pink is fine Caip, we have all had our fair share of some discharge or another Wink

Prammy I'm the worst one to ask. We will be finding out at 17 weeks. This whole process has been so arduous that for us, the excitement of finding out on our wedding anniversary outweighs the surprise at time of birth. But that's just us, I totally understand why people want to wait Smile

We too are always saying 'he'. Funny isn't it, how you do that.

Thanks Motor. I've discovered lucozade is a god send. And fizzy water. I even managed a but of yorkshire pudding for dinner!

PramQueen1971 · 04/09/2013 15:18

Caip, how's the spotting?

OP posts:
Wimwom · 04/09/2013 19:34

We're split opinions in this house on sex (finding out that is - of the other kind... Is banned due to crinone (my rule!)) I don't want to, DH does - he also really wants a girl... No pressure then!
Having said all that massive reduction in symptoms today - so now convinced there will be no baby... Daft huh.
pram if you like buff men with tats I'm in the job for you Grin well part time anyway - my other two jobs are less interesting!

Wimwom · 04/09/2013 19:36

caip hope spotting has stopped - sounds like the brown goo that so many here have had. Are you using any pessaries ATM? I find sometimes they "leak" out a bit pink, but am convinced I sometimes cause a small amount of trauma putting them up there

NoMaybeAboutIt · 04/09/2013 20:11

Wim some of the Crinone applicators are really sharp! I've done myself a mischief with a few of them! My Crinone gunk is quite often tinged pink. Just irritation apparently. I'm not on a sex ban though. We haven't noticed if I'm honest. I just make sure I have a clear out before hand . Only 6 more days of it! Hurrah!

Hope you're doing ok Caip.

I need sweet and sour chicken balls. I haven't eaten anything solid all day, and I want them now. Therefore I am having them

You ok Pramleyapple?

PramQueen1971 · 04/09/2013 22:30

Why couldn't you have chosen a more malleable username, Marbie?

Grin I'm sorry Prammy. I'll let you call me by a name of your choice if you so please Wink
