Yes! Happy Birthday to me indeed! Fanks for all the Cake I would say 'nom-nom' and 'it was awesome!' but I would have to stab myself for being an irritating twat. I digress..

Come here, ladies who have survived IVF and are now battling the first trimester nerves and scans. We did it...we did it!! Grin

Good to know you're still there Caip! Sorry you're so shattered. Hopefully it will ease soon x

Beetle we've been quite lucky on the march thread, they're all ok!

Good luck today Prambo!

Maybe 13+3

Wimwom · 19/09/2013 10:04

Hello! Am also still here - just struggling between bed/loo/sofa. Have self certified off work this week.... Today is the first day I might have managed to go in since Friday, but not sure it's going to last. I have to get through three secure doors with swipe access to get to a loo - and that's putting me off returning (I don't even work for MI5!!)
Have watched so much tv think I could work for the FBI now. Should be planning the big move - but just no motivation.
Anyway, really pleased you are all sort of ok minus preg bits and bobs issues. beetle completely agree April thread - just different for us ladies I think. Though my completely utterly bang on normal 10 week scan on Monday made me have hope I might be normal again one day. But I have to see cons at next midwife visit as IVF.... At 16 weeks what are they going to do?!

Sorry, bit me me me. prambo your a scan junkie - looking forward to living vicariously through today's hit!

Wim, 33' 10+4

NoMaybeAboutIt · 19/09/2013 12:04

Sorry to hear you're feeling rough Wim. It's no fun is it? Your GP will sign you off though if needed, mine has. I think I started to feel normal after the 12 week scan. Though I am now worrying as I haven't been eating that I'm starving the poor thing. How rational Wink

Seeing a consultant is automatic for most IVFers. I still don't have my appointment through. My MW said they will most likely see me, ask some questions, then discharge me back into MW care, as there is no other reason to deem me high risk.

Prambo · 19/09/2013 18:55

Good to hear from you, Caip. I'm sorry your work life is full-on but I know it's a job you wanted so I'm happy for you in that respect.

Wim, bleddy awful time you're having and I feel rotten for you too, Marbie Sad

Motor, I had nerves last night but a firm slap to the chops sorted me out. The scan was incredible. I saw baby face-on which was glorious and freaky in equal measure. Of course the scan shows no flesh so the skull face-on is quite surreal - glaring eye sockets and proper eyeballs! When baby clasped its perfectly formed fingers above its head I melted. When I told the nurse I wanted a boy baby threw its hands over its ears! Remarkable and so funny! I refused to find out the sex

Pics are up now Smile

Ok so I'm not here to tell you good news.... Had some tummy pains yesterday and my symptoms lessened.... Took 3 prego tests over the last 24 hours.... They have all said NOT PREGNANT.

I've had no bleeding so off to the EPU for confirmation of what I already know.

We have two embryos frozen so I will be back on the pregnancy horse soon...

Until then I wish you all the very best with your pregnancies. Take care of yourselves!!! Xx

NoMaybeAboutIt · 20/09/2013 09:56

Oh Bird I'm so very sorry lovely. Come back and talk to us if you need any support, we are always here. Please look after yourself, and looking forward to having you back very soon Thanks xxx

Caip · 20/09/2013 12:08

Really sorry to hear your news bird. My pregnancy is from a frozen embie so fingers crossed it'll work for you. Look after yourself xx

Sorry to hear your news bird - don't give up though, I'm sure you'll succeed before long.

Amazing pics of prambino! Do tell me, what is your secret to getting scans?

Sorry to all for lack of posting, I just have very little interesting to say! I have started to get a little bump, which is visible only to me and DH. I can't wait for it to get bigger so that the world can see I'm pregnant. I've got an appt with consultant obstetrician tomorrow. No idea what that will entail, but I bet he/she will not listen to the heartbeat, which is about the only thing I am interested in. That will have to wait for the midwife appt the week after. I've now gained half a stone since conception, and sometimes I worry that I'm not pregnant, Im just a bit overweight because I've been eating too much!

Love to caip wim maybe and beetle.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 22/09/2013 13:13

Hello all, it is very quiet of late Sad. I wish more IVFers could join us.

Glad to hear everyone is ticking along though. Beetle the first 12 weeks seem like an age. But you're nearly there Smile. I know what you mean about tempting fate, but you're really not. I felt like that a lot, from making my first GP appointment. But it's all good. I say only go with the hospit you feel comfortable in x

Glad to hear you're ok Motor. I know what you mean about wanting a bump. I do have a slight one, and DH can really notice it, but I don't think anyone that didnt know me would think anything of it!

How you hanging Prambo?

Prambo · 22/09/2013 13:22

Nice to hear from you, girls. Beetle, i never realised you were so young! Envy Good luck choosing a hospitals and obs. I'd go with the Afrikaans-speaking one. Who cares if you can't understand them if they're the best at treating the little ones?

Motor, how far along are you now? 15 wks? Why is my bump absurdly huge and yours are all little? Iz it coz i iz black?

I'm peng fanks, Marbie

I'm 17+1 and feeling really, really happy (except at the prospect of moving house) Smile

Prambo · 22/09/2013 13:25

Marbles, how is your sickness?

Happilymarried155 · 22/09/2013 13:27

Hi everyone,

Haven't been on for a while as trying to keep busy before Thursday.

Glad to see everyone is getting on well! Does anyone else have anymore scans coming up?

NoMaybeAboutIt · 22/09/2013 13:51

It had eased off a but yesterday Pramela but is back with a vengeance today Sad

Happily how are you? Next scan here is a gender scan on the 16th October. Not too long away!

Thanks Prambalaya and Beetle. The nausea has well and truly serves it's purpose now. 14 weeks and I can hear the heartbeat now, so I know all is well! I keep trying to dream about what I want to eat, but it doesn't go too well. Thank goodness for jelly cherry sweets Wink

The egg buddies need another flurry of BFPs. That seems to be how it went with us lot.

I'm 28 too. Though only for a couple more months Wink

Happilymarried155 · 22/09/2013 16:01

I'm 28 too.

Haven't had any bleeding or cramps at all yet which I'm hoping is a good thing. Been wretching alot of over the weekend and feel awful today!

Maybe it's so nice that your at the stage you can relax a little and start to enjoy it :)
