Am about 9 weeks pregnant and have been bleeding since sunday night. Lightly, thats why not yet been to A & E. Spoke to MW y'day and no one at EPU was available with it being bank holiday, rung them this morning and as i have already had bloods taken at booking in they were going to chase those down to get exact EDD to work out what to do next. This was at 9 o clock this morning. was told a midwife would ring back. Just rung as all i have been doing all day is waiting, only to be told that the EPU closes at 2 and i have to ring back in the morning SadAngry i just want to know either way whats going on

sorry, just needed a rant and DP working

sorry you havent had more definative news... I had a scan at almost 6 weeks and they couldnt see anything either, friend had same.... we're both very pregnant... it may be too early to see. Did they take any bloods to measure your Hcg levels? They did with me... if your levels double (ish) every 48 hours, its a sign of a normal pregnancy... if they rise slowly or decline then it indicates a problem. They could do this for you I'm sure... a two week wait will be really hard for you. If the epu won't do it ask your GP... the stress and worry wont help if there is a perfectly healthy baby. xxx

Good point, spinach - why didn't I think of that?!? Blood hcg would be a good (though not infallible) indicator...

SHHHH · 02/06/2006 09:14

I agree with spinach. When we were expecting dd (as hsd x2 mc's) we went privatly and our consultant did hcg test with me.
It was so reasurring as I had blood taken less than 48 hours apart (should be 48 like spinach said) and my levels had nearly trippled.!! As sign to us that baby was trying to grow..!!! good luck.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have been through it myself several times. I know how very hard this is.

Take care of each other!!

MitchMatch · 02/06/2006 22:33

Oh MOM, I am so sorry to hear your news. I was on the Jan07 thread with you and suffered a mc over the long weekend.

The first few days can be really hard so make sure that you have someone supportive to talk to about it all.

I'm sending you a big cyber hug and hope that you're ok.

spinach · 04/06/2006 20:50

I'm so sorry, i hope you're okay, I can only imagne how horrid this is.... I've had several scares during pregnancies and that was bad enough. try and take care of yourself, I wish you good luck for the future. So sorry. xxx

MumRum · 04/06/2006 20:57

Mom I know that this is a really difficult time and I've found the best thing is to talk about it with dh and friends as often as I need to. I have a really good friend who has had multiple mc's and talking to her really helped me to come to terms with things and move forward. Have you got someone close to you that you can talk to?

MerlinsBeard · 05/06/2006 11:17

Mitch, not many people knew about the pregnancy anyway and i am not close to my once very close friend anymore. Finding it hard to talk about in RL at mo anyway.
Glad that u have good support and thank you fpr being so helpful to me, its really kind of you x
