Am about 9 weeks pregnant and have been bleeding since sunday night. Lightly, thats why not yet been to A & E. Spoke to MW y'day and no one at EPU was available with it being bank holiday, rung them this morning and as i have already had bloods taken at booking in they were going to chase those down to get exact EDD to work out what to do next. This was at 9 o clock this morning. was told a midwife would ring back. Just rung as all i have been doing all day is waiting, only to be told that the EPU closes at 2 and i have to ring back in the morning SadAngry i just want to know either way whats going on

sorry, just needed a rant and DP working

I have the number for delivery suite 3lb, thats who i rung on monday (what the hell day is it??!) and they only deal with women over 16 weeks. The epu is the only place taht will take under that....useless hospital!

mum - I had this with my first but I was in Las Vegas at the time getting married! Very scarey but when we got back went to Emergency Maternity unit and had a scan. Showed that some of my womb lining had come outside of my womb and that was the bleeding that I had. Rectified itself within a week but was VERY scarey whilst it was happening. Don't know if it's the same with you but that's one explanation. I know it's easier said than done, but try not to worry. It's most probably nothing.

threelittlebabies · 30/05/2006 20:09

sorry mom Sad

With my history I have always been seen with early concerns, and hoped that would be the same for everyone. Let me know if I can help at all xxx

Elibean · 30/05/2006 20:51

MoM, mine was red sometimes - bright red - pinky brown other times, and light pink or brown spotting too. (no info is tmi on this topic, imo!)

I had red gushes three times - nothing to be seen on scan but one healthy baby. Probably capillary bursting in my case, and hopefully in yours - will be thinking of you tomorrow. xxx

Elibean · 31/05/2006 08:23

Good luck today, MoM xx

sarahlou1uk · 31/05/2006 10:03

Good luck. I'm sure it'll be ok Smile

Another day to wait? Aaargh. Well, I have my nuchal tomorrow - so I'll think of you when I hop on the table, with most things crossed. Glad the lady was nice.

spinach · 31/05/2006 18:25

MOM... hope all is well with you, glad you're getting a scan, are you still bleeding/cramping?

Slink · 31/05/2006 18:33

(no2 after 4yrs of trying) noone did a scan till 10am next morning where........THERE WAS MY BABY

lack of communication and resources!!!!
hope alls good with you xxxxxxxx

Elibean · 31/05/2006 18:40

omg, Slink, what a rollercoaster - how awful they misdiagnosed you to that extent! Makes me think of my best friend, who was told her baby had no heartbeat and to book a D&C. She didn't, and a week later another scan showed her dd...now 4...Shock
Anyway, congrats on your pregnancy and glad it all worked out!

Slink · 31/05/2006 18:44

thank you 11 weeks feeling fine but yep very scary x

SHHHH · 31/05/2006 19:52

MOM, remember quite a few women bleed during pregnancy. Some for the 1st few weeks some all the way through..Try and relax and I am sure all will be ok tomorrow.

Usually the blood you describe is old blood iykwim BUT pink blood is also not always a bad sign.

Its also a positive sign that you were feeling sick yesterday..sickness is ually as sign of a good pregnancy as it's your raging hormones that make you sick.

Let us know how you get on tomorrow. xx

Elibean · 01/06/2006 09:17

Good luck MoM......

MerlinsBeard · 01/06/2006 11:18

went for scan and they could see a 5-6 week sac but nothing in, could be too early but most likely a m/c. have to go back in 2 weeks

Flossam · 01/06/2006 11:34

Oh I am sorry. Another two weeks waiting, you poor thing. Sad

Elibean · 01/06/2006 11:36

Oh MoM...any chance you could have your dates mixed up? Probably a silly question. Crap, I'm so very sorry...Sad

MerlinsBeard · 01/06/2006 11:44

Elibean i don't my dates thats the thing. Had my bfo on 5th may if tahts anything to go by? just so confused and don't know how to feel

Two weeks is ages - how awful for you.

wools · 01/06/2006 14:00

MoM - just read through this thread. I'm so sorry for all this waiting you're having to do. I hope that you get good news at your next scan. Thinking of you.

MerlinsBeard · 01/06/2006 14:17

Thank you Wools xx

OP posts:
Elibean · 01/06/2006 16:06

MoM....hmm, so you could be just six weeks, in fact. Did they see a fetal pole, or just a sac? I suppose they said come back in 2 weeks (as opposed to one) because by then it will be really conclusive either way, saving more waiting. No wonder you're confused, you poor love, I would be too.

MerlinsBeard · 01/06/2006 19:41

Just a sac, nothing else, she said the 2 week thing was to make sure...argh!

OP posts:
Elibean · 01/06/2006 19:45

Sad urgh, waiting two weeks 'just to make sure'. I know its stating the obvious, but if there's anything you can plan to do over the next two weeks to make the time pass more easily....not to mention coming on here and letting off steam, if it helps. Wish I could wave a wand and speed it past for you. xx
