please help someone. I am completely stuck. I do not have a list for you to choose from, but i do have these criteria:

name must not be too poncey (so not jeremy)
ideally should be easy to pronounce in spanish (so not george)
pref should have a story of some kind. for that reason dh likes names connected to "marsh" (eg carson or fenton - but not those)
name must not be thomas

I don't ask for much do I? the only idea I have so far is Kier, but that should praps be a middle name. dh has a slightly girly name and is loath to inflict that on our child (is kier girly?)

I like the name Conrad (which i tried to have but was vetoed) after Joseph Conrad

also wanted Zelda for a girl but again didn't push it through

tinker - yes am pregnant. finding boys names is not a hobby, much as it may look like it.

dh wants to call him boy 2, and dd wants to call him ds's name. we are not an imaginative family.

actually is there a name in another language that means number 2 son?

Lockets are you my twin - we have very similar taste in names! One of those is my DS name. Don't you have a DD beginning with T and ending in a? as that was what DS was going to be called......if a girl!

SenoraPostrophe · 26/04/2006 19:08

katzg - I love the list of second names. think brody has to go on the list. it does sound really american though doesn't it?

we probably won't be staying in spain for that much longer (well, we'll be here for 2 more years, but not much longer after that). but even for 2 years, I'm not sure I can put up with "estan". david worth a thought I spose. boys names are hard. doesn't help that most of the names I like have negative connections to do with people we know - how do teachers manage to choose names ever?
