Exactly what it says on the tin :-)
I can't imagine that it's possible to enjoy it.....

Bits of it. I hated the early roller coaster up to the 12 week scan (even more so with dd because I'd had two miscarriages since having ds so knew how easily things could go wrong). I loved 12 weeks up to about 35 weeks. It's all downhill from there IMO, until the day the baby's born. Such a relief to finally have your baby in your arms.

Why do you feel the way you do silvachick? Did you have a tough time while pg?

AuntLucyInPeru · 18/06/2012 20:26

Nooooo. Bloody hated it. ESP the second time, when it wasn't even a novelty. Would quite like a third, but can't face being up the duff again. Felt like I was gestating an elephant last time...

WipsGlitter · 18/06/2012 20:29

I hated it both times. Think I had ante natal depression to be honest.

VIX1980 · 18/06/2012 20:31

Not 1 bit, but maybe ask me in a few months when im not overdue anymore and struggling to walk and breathe Smile

nosleepwithworry · 18/06/2012 20:31

Always very traumatic. (7 mcs)

This time, i am absolutely delighted (freak) with every single crappy symptom, the nausea, the very painful boobs, the feeling like death and the exhaustion...so happy to have these at the mo. Grin

cleoismycat · 18/06/2012 20:32

Really didn't like it. Don't regret it now as dd is the best thing ever ever. But really didn't enjoy it.

Thechick · 18/06/2012 20:32

I'm enjoying it. There have been some issues and I haven't had a proper nights sleep in months, but I think it's amazing that I've got this far. I loved my first pregnancy a whole lot too. I'm 18 weeks.

Flossiechops · 18/06/2012 20:34

Hated it. Always thought I would love it but I put on a lot of weight, had constant rib pain and just felt so bloody uncomfortable. Dd was only 6 months old when I found I was expecting ds so it was even harder with a baby! The end result was worth it though and it's now a distant memory. I got dh up the vasectomy clinic very soon after ds was born though! :)

BettyandDon · 18/06/2012 20:36

Didn't like the weight gain as mine was rather excessive! Felt like a fat out of the fashion loop lump. Hated having to pee all the time too.

Shesparkles · 18/06/2012 20:38

I loved it! To be fair I had text book pregnancies after being very lucky and conceiving 1st time both times. The only downside for me was constant heartburn, which in the scheme of things, is pretty minor.

After I had ds, I actually felt a bit sad that I'd never have that lovely feeling of growing a baby again

IslaValargeone · 18/06/2012 20:38

Hated every minute. Was sick the entire time, and very depressed.
Labour on the other hand was a fantastic experience, largely I think because of the psychological aspect of "Thank f* the pregnancy is over"

Susieloo · 18/06/2012 20:48

No I'm hating it, the only moments I enjoyed were seeing the line on the stick and feeling some proper movements, the rest of the time I've really worried about the baby usually about either lack of movement or bizarrely too much movement. I'm really fed up with carpal tunnel, constant weeing, aching hips and heartburn, all four of which have ramped up a gear as I hit 36 weeks today, baby also now feels far too big to be in there and I really want him/her out now.

mumnosbest · 18/06/2012 20:51

DS1 - loved every minute (apart from kicks in the ribs).
DC2 - MC
DD! - Loved but was a nervous wreck.
DD2 - enjoyed every minute as it was unexpected and definately my last. I miss being pg.

Beamur · 18/06/2012 20:52

Really enjoyed it. Bit nervy to start with (previous m/c) but I was really lucky and felt well most of the time, no morning sickness, no stretch marks, I had slight sciatica for a little while which was unpleasant but did pass.

I was really big but felt comfortable until the very end, I was still active and mobile although bending wasn't easy!

SkinnyVanillaLatte · 18/06/2012 20:54

Yes. People were nice to me.

maxpower · 18/06/2012 20:54

DD - hated the morning sickness and I ended up having travel sickness the whole pregnancy. Other than that, I felt brilliant and did enjoy it.

DS - no monring sickness, but utterly exhausted, painful hips, could have merrily given up at 20 wks.

Mama1980 · 18/06/2012 20:55

No pretty much hated it. Terrible sickness, loads of bleeding, hospital admissions, and to top it off I never even got to look pregnant as I had ds at 26 weeks......nope was not fun.

Heavensmells · 18/06/2012 20:55

I hated it too!
Didn't have particularly bad pregnancies felt crappy no illness or anything but I just didn't feel myself at all.

MinnieBar · 18/06/2012 20:56

Pretty much hated every minute of it (three overdue pregnancies) - apart from feeling the baby kick. Those moments were pretty special Smile

I remember being at a friend's hen party (in a house) and hauling my mahoosive SPD-ridden self off the sofa to go pee for the tenth time when one of the hen's other friends sighed and said 'Don't you just love being pregnant?!'

I was Hmm with a generous dash of 'WTAF?'

stressheaderic · 18/06/2012 20:57

Absolutely hated it. Every second.
Would do it all again tomorrow though Grin

blondieminx · 18/06/2012 21:05

I liked knowing I was growing a whole new person, and the kicks.

Hated the anxiety that I could lose another baby, and PUP rash for the final 2.5 weeks I was pregnant. And the constant weeing!

All worth it though for a healthy baby at last Smile

PetiteRaleuse · 18/06/2012 21:05

Loved it first time and loving it this time. Was lucky and have been lucky with this one and never experienced sickness or anything worse than tiredness. They end in c sections though so this will bd the last one.

PetiteRaleuse · 18/06/2012 21:07

I should say i have had a couple of miscarriages and didn't enjoy any part of those pregnancies. They felt wrong from the beginning.

JugglingWithTangentialOranges · 18/06/2012 21:08

I loved it - mainly I think all those pregnancy hormones were sooo good for my mind - I felt much more positive and focused than usual ( I think I generally have a touch of ADD and I've read the symptoms/ characteristics of this can improve during pregnancy)

I did feel a bit sick, especially with dd (dc1), during the first 12 weeks or so.

But overall I enjoyed it - nice for a slightly lazy person like myself to feel I was achieving something so great with so little effort Grin Didn't get especially fed up or impatient as EDD approached either (even though both late babies)

And I wish someone could make those lovely pregnancy hormones available on tap !

TorianaTollywobbles · 18/06/2012 21:13

Loved it, but was lucky with very easy pregnancy, no hint of sickness.

It was the bit afterwards that I found hard, often thought I would make a good surrogate mother!
