Which songs do you/would you play to your pregnant belly or which songs do they seem to respond to?

I only ask because, embarassingly, I have a CD that has the song Poison by Alice Cooper on it and the baby seems to love it. If he's been quiet for a while I can always get him to move by playing that song.

I've heard that if you play the baby the same song every day they will go quiet and listen to it when they are born. Has anybody tried this and if so, what have you been playing?? Or what music does your baby respond to. Or is it just me?

My ds used to respond to loud thumping dance music when I was pregnant with him - but I couldn't tell if he was dancing to it or registering his dislike! He is now 3, and does jig along to music I play in the car - so maybe he was dancing after all! One thing we did do when I was pregnant, was sing Twinkle Twinkle to him loads when I was heavily pregs - even now singing that to him while cuddling him will calm him down from any kind of upset.

Since I first felt this baby move, she (we think) has got all excited when she hears One Direction's 'that's what makes you beautiful' lol...the shame!

I am currently getting a playlist together, as I would like my own CD playing when I have my elective section in September. That song will probably be on it! Grin
