Best TENS machine hire?

Hi. I know the benefits of using a TENS machine are highly debatable, but I've decided for £20 or so, it's worth a go. Have seen several places online that hire out machines for around £19.99, but at that price will I be getting a crappy one? What's the queen of all TENS machines and any recommendations of companies to hire them from?
Thanks in advance Smile

I hired both of mine via Boots. I chose the bog standard model, which was slightly cheaper as it didn't have a timer (which when you're in active labour is going to be the last thing you have the presence of mind to use anyway!). You can hire from a couple of weeks (maybe a month?) before due date and they give you a couple of weeks after to return. I thought it was a great value for money service.

TENS does seem to be very subjective but in my experience was absolutely fantastic. I could not have done it without my TENS. Both labours it was the only pain relief I had (hated gas and air). Really, really worked for me. It doesn't take away the pain at all but I found it was brilliant for distracting from the pain and aided the other techniques I used.

Hope all goes well for you.

Check ebay - it may be as cheap to buy. You can get replacement pads in Boots etc. If it works for you and you plan another DC all well and good, if not, re-sell!
Make sure it has a boost button (eg Elle TENS).
Also useful for BF-related back and shoulder pain.

I bought one off ebay then sold it afterwards for slightly less, definitely worth doing.

boots advantage card holders and parent club people can get a discount on buying some of the TENS at the moment. Works out not much more than hiring and yes, you can sell quite easily on ebay.

Garliccheesechips I just had a look at Boots online for the discount you mentioned on Tens machines for card holders, but couldn't see anything. Is it in-store only do you know?

Sorry for the hijack!

thanks.

Can anyone recommend which brand of TENS to buy?
