I am 23 weeks at the moment and am 'just' starting to feel like I am actually carrying a wee bit of a load. It's only happened over the last couple of days. Starting to feel fairly heffalumpy and stretched. I'm just thinking, what the heck am I going to feel like at 37-40 weeks?!! Maybe i'm just having an off couple of days, dunno... :(

31 weeks this week and just started to feel heavy, think have been in denial till now! Have you found yourself having little growth spurts?! Last couple of weeks can be a bit killer but it's a good excuse to sit down a lot!

LilPud · 28/12/2011 00:55

I'm 28 weeks and would have to say not yet. Sometimes depending on what I'm wearing you can't even tell there is a baby in there! I think I would like the feeling tho so roll on the next few weeks :)

xmasmummytobe · 28/12/2011 05:31

I think I started to feel the weight of something in there around 20 weeks. It's been on and off as to whether it felt comfy or not, think that's to do with the stretching. Kept going through cycles of growing pains for a couple of days, relief and comfort for a couple of day then back to growing pains.

I'd say maybe you're going through a growth spurt, give it a couple more days you may feel normal again.

Yummymummyyobe1 · 28/12/2011 09:29

I feel heffylumpy at 22 weeks but it depends where baby is. When he is in my pelvis I feel very heavy. xx

MissRee · 28/12/2011 10:59

I'm 39+4 and only just starting to feel uncomfortable Grin that's mainly due to period type pains and backache - hopefully this means labour is imminent!!

TopazMortmain · 28/12/2011 11:02

Today Sad

Woke up and realized I am massive and just not feeling myself at all... longing to go for a long bike ride or even leap out of bed.

35 weeks

ShesAStar · 28/12/2011 11:30

At 32 weeks I started to feel heavy and realised I am not finding bending and rolling over in bed as easy as usual. I am 33 weeks now and getting sick of the extra weight!

Flisspaps · 28/12/2011 11:37

This time round it's the last week or so (25w).

This one definitely feels like more of a lump than DD.

spannermary · 28/12/2011 12:01

Yeah, absolutely...25+3. Woke up this morning and wondered when sitting up in bed became such a chore!

Of course my current growth spurt could be mince pie related! :)

KikiRC · 28/12/2011 13:16

28 weeks tomorrow, and the last week or so I've definitely felt heavier & more awkward. Feels like baby is moving 'up' a bit, too, getting movements towards my ribs whereas before it was almost nestled on my bladder!

kickingking · 28/12/2011 13:18

About 20 weeks, but I'm very small and have had big bumps.

justhayley · 28/12/2011 13:23

I'm 22+4 and am starting to feel a bit heavy - not all the time but sometimes when the baby is really low down it's super uncomfortable and feels like I'm carrying triplets at 39 weeks

SausageWrappedInBaconSmuggler · 28/12/2011 16:07

I'm 27+2 and really feeling it. I think it's made harder by having to look after a 14 month old toddler so lots of attempts at bending and carrying. What i'm doing and I would recommend it to others is not to dwell on how long you've felt like this and not think about the weeks to come. Take it one day at a time otherwise you'll drive yourself mad.

fufulina · 28/12/2011 17:05

Am 33 weeks tomorrow and suddenly feel really pregnant. It's my second. Think it's all tied in with relaxing for Christmas. Have also been hit with an enormous tired stick.

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 28/12/2011 17:10

I'm 26+5 and feel heavy when I have to walk around a lot, especially if I'm carrying something. Walking uphill carrying my laptop and then climbing 2.5 flights of stairs was a killer last week - I have never felt so unfit! Usually I don't feel too bad weight-wise, though - it seems to come and go.

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 28/12/2011 17:14

Sausage - sage words! I am driving myself mad thinking of how long I have to go. People keep saying to me 'not long now' and I want to shriek yes it is, it's another 11 weeks minimum!

LilPud · 28/12/2011 17:37

Ah yes tooimmature if one more person says 'not long now' I may have to kill them 12 weeks is a flippin long time or 'oh my hasn't it passed quick' eh no it fckn hasn't! wish they'd all just shut it!

Murtette · 28/12/2011 18:04

I'm only 20+5 but my bump has grown so much in the last couple of days. Its been really achy and now I'm having to think twice before bending over as the bump gets in the way and I can't run up the stairs any more as I feel really dizzy & need a bit of a breather at the top despite having been able to do it without any problems a few days ago. At the moment, I'm despairing of feeling like this for the next 20 weeks but I seem to remember from my last pregnancy that I'd go through periods of feeling huge and then get used to it & then have another growth spurt & feel huge again. The only thing that is cheering me up is that at least I now look unmistakably fat rather than as though I've just eaten a few too many mince pies!

ZhenTheHallsWithBoughsOfHolly · 28/12/2011 18:12

30 weeks this time round, currently 31 weeks and the waddle has really developed. I can cope with the big belly, getting off the bed, maneouvering in the bath etc..., but the waddle makes me feel like I am 'carrying a load', although I am not too tired with it yet. With DD1 it was much later, I was walking 6 miles on a regular basis right up to when I went into labour!

LoveInASnowyClimate · 28/12/2011 18:20

28 weeks tomorrow and starting to feel awkward and cumbersome. And like Too, keep thinking that even if he arrives at 37 weeks, I still have at least 9 weeks to go (NOT that I am willing him to arrive earlier, just that I can't imagine how much bigger and more awkward I am going to get).

Cankulzof · 28/12/2011 19:27

At 24 weeks I'm not enormous yet but thanks to SPD I'm waddling like I'm at full term.

I seem much bigger than I am because of it and if one more person says "ooh I can't believe you've got until April" I will make a noise like an angry buffalo.

tuffinmop · 28/12/2011 19:57

my daughter was born 4 months ago and I am still feeling the load!! Grin New years resolution here we come.

feekerry · 28/12/2011 20:17

at about 26 weeks i think, certinaly became more 'aware' of the bump! now nearly 29 weeks and lumping my fat ass and bump around is becoming harder!

ChineapplePunk · 28/12/2011 20:21

Hopefully it was just a growing spurt. I don't feel as big today. :) I had a fairly large meal yesterday, so I think that may have contributed to my "exploding" feelings.

PamBeesly · 28/12/2011 21:08

I'm almost 32 weeks and feel sore from the weight of the bump when I'm lying down in bed, Also I noticed my walking is much slower, I can't go as fast as I used too...8 more weeks!
