honest to goodness if i'm told one more thing you shouldn't do in pregnancy or any more things that are dangerous for baby i am going to scream! Feel like i should turn spare room into a padded cell for me and bump until he's 3.

The list seems endless! I want to sleep on my back and use a baby walker ffs!

feel better now.

All this stuff can really get anxiety-prone women awfully upset. I had to console a friend the other week who was in tears and having a panic attack that she'd poisoned her baby by accidentally eating a few slices of pizza with goats cheese and parmesan on it. Managed to get her calm only to ring back in a few hours worried that the cheese panic had hurt the baby in some way...

MockCroc I thought the thing about salmonella was that you were more suseptable to it whilst pregnant (much like if v young or elderly) so its best to be a bit more cautious about what you eat?

I'd always be tempted with a random stranger to tell them that I wasnt pregnant if they started sharing "advice" or bump-stroking.

Luckily they dont do it to me, I must have a mean face? Grin

I was very amused by the idea that massage is dangerous because it is "stimulating". Sex is safe. Are they suggesting that their massages are more "stimulating" than the average pg lady's tumble in the sheets? Possibly on reflection Wink.

some people won't even have sex for fear it will bring on MC when there is no reason for thinking that.

Great discussion, thank you! I am getting soooo pissed off with it all and I'm only 6 weeks! Grin

Decided to rebel the other night and have a small glass of my favourite sauvignon blanc - only to discover it tasted yukky. Pregnancy taste buds according to DH. I was pissed off!

BlingLoving · 01/12/2011 20:46

Rhinestone: that happened to me. I only started enjoying it again at about 32 weeks. Sad

FIL (retired paediatrician) told me to avoid all main roads as the pollution levels would inhibit my blood's oxygen levels and the baby would be damaged. We lived on a main road, and he pulled a face every time he visited.

Whilst continuing to smoke like a chimney around me.

You can tell he retired a very long time ago...

heard a cracker today - co worker is now having her DP drive her to work and back every day also anywhere else she needs to go because she doesn't drive and public transport is far to dangerous... why?? because there are no seat belts and people bump into you or you could fall getting on or off because the steps are high... WTF!!!! she's 9 weeks so this will go on for another 31 weeks.

i did point out that you could be in a car accident any way but she says its highly unlikely, go figure.
