Ok I'm sorry this will be into errm a lot of detail!! I'm 17wks and I've just been in the bath, when I go in the bath I always thoroughly clean 'myself down there' basically, what happened is I was cleaning inside me, n I touched my cervix n suddenly felt so much pain, on my cervix, n now iv gt bad pains. Only gt out 10 mins ago, but I've had complications as it is with this baby, bled from 6-10wks, with severe cramping, eased off for about a week 15-16th week. And has come bk again. Baby has also been moving a lot the past 2 days, even waking me up like its been having a disco day AND night! No idea when it sleeps... Is it normal to have this pain when I wash? Not had sex in a long time! Was planning on tonight but think it may be out window! All the pains have made me convince myself something will go wrong as can't be normal. So maybe I'm more aware of everything that happens like I'm just waiting.

I've honestly have no idea, I mean surely it depends on what you're sticking up there. Confused

Agree, if in doubt give the midwife a shout.

I'd phone midwife or mat assessment just now that does not sound good, i've had the very occational pain from cervix during sex but only a small pain that goes away straight away so do not think that you should have such a bad pain just from your fingers.

I would save yourself the embarrasment with the midwife and tell her you were getting intimate with your partner when it happened. But yes I would phone for advice-sharp pains in your cervix need to be investigated.

As an aside-I really would advise to stop the internal cleaning-you can introduce more infections than you would imagine from under your nails etc, and if you are are using soap you may start suffering with thrush an awful lot. It is a self cleaning area.

mumt1 i hope your ok, everyone over worries, just ring your mw if you think something is not right, its your body you can clean it however you D-A-M well like, but it is not recomened to clean inside like that, but jsut ignore the horrible comments
