Because there are so many rubbish elements I think we need a bit of happiness right now.

For me it's this time (i'm 20+6) where I can feel the baby moving but it's still small enough that it isn't booting me in the cervix or the ribcage. Ahh.

The bit where I wasn't pregnant any more.

hermionestranger · 13/11/2011 21:11

Birth. Then I wasn't pregnant anymore.

EMS23 · 13/11/2011 21:20

Being able to wear close fitting clothes, like long summer dresses and not having to hold my tummy in! Have always had a bit of a tummy so that was fab!!

And how old ladies give you lovely smiles just because you're pregnant.

And getting off a speeding ticket when I got flustered and told the policeman I was 8.5 months pregnant and he let me go!

peachLFDTsmuggler · 13/11/2011 21:22

Am 39+2 and although am exhausted and achey, I am already thinking how much I will miss my bump, especially as might be my last pregnancy Sad. love feeling baby wriggling about and having big bump. Sigh....

onepieceofcremeegg · 13/11/2011 21:24

I liked the postive result, the euphoria (for me) of having a BFP. Then it was terrible for a few months (lots of hyperemesis/sickness etc, heartburn, discomfort). The second best bit was the birth.

the moment I got my BFP's and the moment my DC were born. And thats about it.

Pastabee · 13/11/2011 21:27

Ever since my bump appeared I haven't felt self conscious about my figure. Hair is nice and thick and skin has never been so bright and clear.

wonkylegs · 13/11/2011 21:27

That first kick and hearing their heartbeat (I got addicted to this and sat with DH's stethoscope listening for it)

MrBloomsNursery · 13/11/2011 21:52

Having an excuse for being fat, rather than be judged for eating all the pies :D

budgieshell · 13/11/2011 21:54

Scans, being able to see the baby it's so amazing.

hermionestranger · 13/11/2011 21:54

I admit i did love my huge belly and not having to hold my tummy in. I'd do it all again in a minute, SPd and everything just so I could have that newborn part again. That's my favourite bit. Being on the postnatal ward with my new tiny baby. Oh bliss.

ilovedjasondonovan · 13/11/2011 21:58

the end

stripeyZ · 13/11/2011 22:01

Feeling the baby moving around always makes me smile.

The only other good thing is I can think of is everyone being so nice to me, which really makes a difference when you feel like utter shit.

DialMforMummy · 13/11/2011 22:20

Being able to finish a three course meal. Comfortably. Loved my bump, too.

teacoupons · 13/11/2011 22:24

Feeling my babies moving around.

And birth.

SausageSmuggler · 13/11/2011 22:27

:o definately agree with the end, when you have your baby safely in your arms it's like a (figurative) weight has been lifted. Then of course a whole new world of worry starts!

Did have a lovely moment last night that I forgot to mention - DH felt the baby kick for the first time, he gave me a big hug and told me I was amazing and clever to be growing a little baby (it wasn't condescending like it sounds).

Conception.

I have decided I don't like being pregnant very much, I get too anxious about everything due to history of complications.

I do like to feel movement but feeling like your pelvic floor is a trampoline is very uncomfortable.

pruney1977 · 13/11/2011 22:37

So far (34+4) I've loved 98% of it, feel like this is what I was always meant to do. Keep waiting to feel uncomfortable and have now had the odd day like that in recent weeks but still feeling pretty great considering I've not got long left. But then, I am a porker anyway so am used to carrying a lot of extra weight

Kitty5824 · 13/11/2011 23:06

Yep, agree with Pruney, as a porker the fact that my bum actually looks small compared to my belly is a massive bonus.

I've been ridiculously lucky, 34 weeks now and except from occasional back ache I've loved most of it.

Favourite thing is definately the movement though, especially knowing that icecream can cause a rave in my belly Wink

NoodieRoodie · 13/11/2011 23:13

I actually enjoyed all of my pregnancy apart from the 11 days overdue I went as I was totally fed up!

The best bit was the 20 wk scan. I couldn't see the monitor but my DH watched all of it and the look on his face was amazing, the only time I've seen that look before was on our wedding day.

Makes me feel weepy thinking about it!

LuckyRocketshipUnderpants · 13/11/2011 23:29

It was sort of nice going on holiday with maternity swimwear- for once, I didn't have to feel self conscious about my figure since I was clearly very pregnant and so it was no big deal that I had a tummy to show.

The scans have been nice.

It's sort of cute when my DD kisses the bump goodnight- was better before my belly button popped out though.

DH's excitement is fun. He has no idea what's coming of course. Grin

CornishKK · 13/11/2011 23:41

DH has just has surgery for prostate cancer so this is definitely my last pregnancy, savouring every minute of it - OK maybe not the constipation/indigestion. Grin

When DS is having his afternoon nap I try to get 30 mins lying on the sofa and just concentrate on feeling this one doing star jumps. I had a growth scan on Friday, the first one I've been to without my 2 year old DS. It was lovely to be able to pay all of my attention to the scan.

CornishKK · 13/11/2011 23:42

DS is also communicating with the baby by playing his harmonica very close to my tummy button, apparently the baby likes his music.
