Because there are so many rubbish elements I think we need a bit of happiness right now.

For me it's this time (i'm 20+6) where I can feel the baby moving but it's still small enough that it isn't booting me in the cervix or the ribcage. Ahh.

The conception.

Crosshair · 14/11/2011 00:01

Around the 22 weeks, felt great and had a nice bump.

PlinkertyPlonk · 14/11/2011 07:51

I'm 19wks and the best bits for me are:

  • my nails are really strong
  • my skin is really, really soft - I normally have very dry skin
  • I have proper boobs for the first time ever
  • feeling the baby flip around
  • DH talking nonsense to my belly in a low booming voice. Just as well it can't hear yet, it would be deafened!
cantreachmytoes · 14/11/2011 08:31

Getting a negative test and running out to buy two more to triple check, then coming home to find the first was actually positive!

Finally looking pregnant at around 6 months, rather than just looking fat.

At the time I didn't think I enjoyed it that much. In hindsight it was all a walk in the park compared to weeks 41 & 42 which were really tough.

The excitement of the BFP. The rest of it sucks until the bit where you're at home on your sofa with your newborn :)

helgaw99 · 14/11/2011 08:43

The bit at my 12 week scan where I actually saw that there was something in there and believed for the first time I actually was PG, not just throwing up six times a day for fun!

Awayinamangercooper · 14/11/2011 08:51

Cornishkk I hope he's on the mend, that all sounds very stressful.

samwellsbutt · 14/11/2011 08:57

the bit i hate least is the middle bit when you are able to be active and not throwing up all the time and i love the end and my body can get back to normal. should try and savour this a bit because its my last ever but i hate it sooo much.

kiki22 · 14/11/2011 10:42

For me it's mostly other people i love when DP feels kicks or see's them, and if i mention anything about when babys here like the other night i said 'you can get a cuddle befor work in the morning while i make a bottle' his face goes all dreamy n gets this soppy smile :)

and my niece talking to the bump she's 4 an has full convos as if she's talking to her friend no gagaing real stuff like 'you'll get a bike when your older it's a thing you sit on with wheels...' so so cute

PinkFondantFancy · 14/11/2011 12:29

The time after my 20 week scan when I could stop worrying about scans and feel my little wriggly wriggler move. I've never felt more beautiful than when I was pregnant, I loved my pregnant body.

HugosGoatee · 14/11/2011 13:05

Everyone being really nice to me, like a had a halo that made everyone smile, relax and be all soppy around me Smile

Yummymummyyobe1 · 14/11/2011 14:05

It has to be watching my bump grow and the funny bubbles that I get when bump is very active. I am now 16 weeks but bump has been very active and letting poor mummy know about it since around week 14.

Also hearing the baby's heartbeat for the first time a coupls of weeks ago that was amazing. Smile Smile Smile Smile Smile Smile Smile Smile Smile

smk84 · 14/11/2011 16:08

scans and giving birth, but giving birth and meeting him was the MOST amazing bit. Great idea for a thread Sausage, it's nice to think about nice things !

precariouslybalanced · 14/11/2011 20:37

I'm hoping the memory of it is going to be better than the reality of it Hmm. CANNOT WAIT to knock back two (two!!) whole glasses of wine, one after the other, over a meal of sushi, and follow all that up with a cheese plate. Can't believe elephants gestate for 2 years. I look at them with renewed wonder Grin.

CornishKK · 14/11/2011 22:43

Awayinamangercooper - thanks, it has been fairly stressful, he was diagnosed the week I found out I was pregnant. So he's had surgery and is now having hormone therapy with radiation treatment due to start 20 days after my due date.

It definitely gives you a sense of perspective though, we have a lot to be positive about, one amazing child and another on the way for a start.

LAbaby · 15/11/2011 21:38

I loved being pregnant, I miss it now and my baby is four months old. I woke up every day feeling like a child on Christmas day - like something wonderful was going to happen but i couldnt recall what. It would take a couple of seconds for me to remember what was so great then the baby would move and I'd realize. Mind you I don't miss the terrible heartburn! And it is nice to sleep on my back again without worrying.

glitternanny · 16/11/2011 10:09

Like lots of Ladies being confident in clingier clothes, feeling movement, hearing the heartbeat :)

MiauMau · 16/11/2011 11:58

My DH reactions to the bump, finding the gender (a big I told you so on my behalf, felt very smug), knitting tiny clothes which make me feel all weepy in a happy sort of way.

bmm39 · 16/11/2011 18:21

My lovely bump and feeling my baby move around. Plus, people are extra nice to you. x
