Was you second Labour faster and easier..............

Hi was just wondering what peoples experiences were with second labours?

Was yours faster & easier?

OR

Longer & harder?

I am starting to panic about going into labour i am a bit of a wimp can not even bear needles! My first labour was 16hrs not to bad, had all pain relief, epostomy (sp?) & few stitches I just keep having bad feelings about this second labour & it's making me very anxious now.

Please share all your different experiences with me TIA

I've got 2 canisters of gas and air next to my bed right now think they'll want it back

First labour - 16 hours - epidural, G&A
Second labour - 8 hours - epidural
Third labour - 4 hours - no pain relief

Says it all really!

dd1 - contractions for about 36 hours, proper labour for 17 odd, g and a, epidural, episiotomy. yuk yuk yuk

dd2 - start-finish was about 3 and a half, no pain relief - even forgot to turn tens machine up beyond about 2, only downside was it all happened so fast she was delivered by dh. mid-wife and ambulance arrived about 5 minutes later. ooh he does like dining out on that one. Told me the other night it was the most exciting thing that had ever happened to him. I should bloody well hope so!

Ds1 - induction, around 10 hours, epidural, ventouse, 8lb 4oz

Ds2 - arrived at hospital unsure in labour, baby born half an hour later , no pain relief, no assistance, 8lb 3oz

Ds3 - woke 2.15am, delivered 4.45am, bit of gas and air on birthing ball, no assistance, 8lb 10oz

dd1 was ventouse. how on earth did I forget that?

DS - 16hr labour- Natural delivery - 6lb 9oz

DTs 14 hr labour
DT1 Natural delivery - 3lb 5,1/5oz
12 minutes later
DT2 Emergency cc - 3lb 5 oz
