I have one Ds 18 months. Had a mc 6 months ago. Now I am pg 6+2. I had a little bit of pink spotting today and was just curious how many people have spotting that turn out to be simply...nothing. Thanks.

Any bleeding in pregnancy is always scary so I do feel for you especially when you have had a loss (so sorry :() I am pg for the 6th time at the moment. I have 2 DCs. This is the only pg that I haven´t spotted in (I am 16 weeks so touching wood as I type this) so it´s happened to me in both successful ones and unsuccessful ones. HTHs :)

dolceebanana · 11/10/2011 20:15

I did with my first pregnancy. I have three DCs now. The spotting was quite heavy and I told DH that I'd had a miscarriage...but I actually hadn't...and six weeks later I was still pregnant. Good luck. Hope alls well.

Light/moderate bleeding from 5wks through to 12wks, every 4-5 days...now 25wks...
As others have said, get any bleeding investigated. Whilst it's probably fine, it's not worth the stress of not getting investigated. Get to your local early pregnancy unit. Most you can self refer to (UK) some you need a referal, but with a history of mc this shouldnt' be a problem.
Good luck.

I bled at 6 weeks -well what they said was 7 weeks due to my long cycles. I was pretty sure it was less than that. I went in for a scan and they told me there was nothing in the sac and therefore no baby - really deadpan about it. I had a scan a week later and there was my baby - she's 5 yrs old now.

Good luck.

saoirse86 · 12/10/2011 15:59

I bled solidly for the first 7 weeks, then on and off until about 15 weeks. It was a mixture of red and brown blood. At 14/15 weeks I had what seemed like a period so kind of assumed I'd miscarried but I hadn't. DD is now 1, perfectly healthy and has just climbed onto the coffee table! Oh the joys of motherhood! LadyGrace if you're worried and your GP wont see you then call your local hospital and ask to self refer to EPU because you're bleeding, or go into A&E. They have to see you, saying "We wont see you til 10 weeks" is not on.

PotteringAlong · 12/10/2011 19:08

I did at 11 weeks. Currently 35 weeks and all looking good!

Me too. I had a MC, a normal pregnancy and then another MC. This pregnancy I bled at 6 and 9 weeks quite a bit but no idea why. Currently 25 weeks and all going well. Good luck.

SoupDragon · 12/10/2011 20:06

3 pregnancies, 3 lots of spotting, 3 healthy full term children :)

tilder · 12/10/2011 20:17

Similar with me too. First pregnancy I had heavy bleeding (heavier than normal period) around 8-9 weeks. Presumed I had miscarried as bleeding went on for 2 days (had a bottle of wine as commiseration..). Was a bit surprised when the bleeding stopped. One scan later and I was still pregnant. He is now 5yrs. Hope all goes will with the Dr appointment.

NinkyNonker · 12/10/2011 21:00

I did, and dd is now 14 months.

fallingandlaughing · 13/10/2011 12:45

I had spotting at 6+something.

DD was/is fine, she is 14 weeks old now, the time has gone very quickly!

Greenleafytrees · 13/10/2011 13:37

DD1:spotting at 3.5 weeks (probably implantation), then 8 then 11.5 weeks. She is nearly 5 now.

DD2: constant spotting between 3.5 weeks and 6.5 weeks. Just constant browny pink discharge. Horrible big red bleed with clots at 14 weeks. No reason for bleeds ever identified. All well, she's now 15 months.

This pg: tiny implantation bleed at 3 plus 2, then teeny tiny spot of red blood at 6.5 weeks. Am 27 weeks today.

Bizarrely, when I had MMC 6 years ago, I didn't bleed at all. So for me spotting in early pregnancy is actually a good sign. I honestly breathed a sigh of relief when I spotted with this pg. Lots of health professionals will say spotting in early pg is never normal. I don't think that can be right, as for some people it clearly is. It seems to be especially common at 6.5 weeks

Good luck!

HopingForAZoo I'm glad you're getting it checked out and I hope everything goes well today, let us know how you get on. Good Luck!

mummymccar · 14/10/2011 17:31

I had spotting at 6 weeks too. Turned out to be a UTI. Now 21 weeks and baby girl seems healthy so far!
Good luck!
