10 weeks, 45 yrs old. I rang the gp and he will see me this afternoon.

Should I go to EPAU? Of course every one will tell me that all will be fine, but without a scan how do I know. First scan in 5 days. Cannot wait that long....

I just wanted to see how you were getting on. I hope that the scan tomorrow gives you good news. I have had both positive and negative outcomes with bleeding in pregnancy. I really hope that it is "just one of those things" and you see a heartbeat tomorrow.
Will keep everything crossed for you.

marthamay · 02/09/2011 07:31

Good luck today, lots of people thinking of you.xxxx

Alliwantisaroomsomewhere · 02/09/2011 08:50

Thanks so much for the good wishes and advice. I will let you know later what is going on.There was no blood overnight and very little this morning so maybe this is all much ado about bugger all!

Sad The hosp says they are really busy so have to ask the consultant if they can fit me in (despite referral letter) and if not, I will have to go via A&E! Spo daft. This is at Royal Surrey where I am to be booked in next week.

Wonder if I should just turn up at St Peters instead??? What should I do?

you could try ringing the epu of the other hospital and telling them you have seen a GP who has done you an emergency referral.
If not, I wouldn't normally recommend it, but if you camp out there in A&E you are likely to get a scan sooner or later. Are you in any pain at all?
Pleased to hear the bleeding has stopped - I really hope it was just one of those things.

harassedandherbug · 02/09/2011 09:37

Oh that's ridiculous, they can't leave you in limbo like this, it's so unfair.

Is there an epu that you can self refer to?? Otherwise I agree with Kat and would camp out in A&E.

Have my fingers x'd for you.

mrsrvc · 02/09/2011 12:06

Hope you are doing ok and that you are being seen by a hospital .

I'm so sorry Sad The same thing happened to me 2 years ago - mmc at 10 weeks, baby had died at 7-8 weeks. Thinking of you x

LIG1979 · 02/09/2011 15:49

I am so sorry as well. The waiting to find out is the most horrible bit and whilst the last months have been tough (had mmc in April) things have improved and most of the time I am back to my pre-mc happy disposition even though I still get days when I am fed up with it all. (Also, discovered I have PCOS so got other issues to deal with.)

I had an ERPC at RSCH and they were lovely and very sympathetic - was in and out in a few hours and didn't get any after effects from the anesthetic. My DH stayed for the whole time so it was nice to see a friendly face when i returned from recovery.

kat2504 · 02/09/2011 16:04

I'm so sorry to hear that. I've had two of those and it's awful. My first mc I had the d&c and although it isn't pleasant, it's nothing to worry about and you ought to be in and out of the hospital in half a day. It is, at least, the least physically painful way of dealing with it. Hope you will be feeling better soon - look after yourself x

BaldricksTurnip · 02/09/2011 16:07

So sorry. How awful for you :( Sending strength and hugs xx

Iggi999 · 02/09/2011 16:11

Really sorry. All the best for Monday, strangely you may start to feel a bit better after the ERPC.

Ju1es22 · 02/09/2011 16:14

Aww I'm sorry to hear your news!

I've been there I was 11 weeks and measured 9 + 5 last September nearly a year to the day!

Sending you a big hug xx

:( So so sorry. I was really hoping you would have good news.

Alliwantisaroomsomewhere · 02/09/2011 18:44

Someone commented on AIBU a couple of days ago about how everyone on MN seemed to hate their in-laws and bitched about their friends etc etc etc.

I hope s/he has a look over at threads like this sometime or other.

I really and truly appreciate all the support and kind words.
