he's seeming way to comfortable. no movements, he was 3/5, but now it's looking like he's popped back up again, am currently 39 w DS had been born by now, can only really sleep properly on my right side (not good I know) MW says I can have a sweep next week if needed but only after i'm over.

consultant next friday (which coincidentally is also the day i'm apparently going to pick up my keys for my new house.)

DP has isssshooos over dtd, ie he thinks my waters may go mid flow so that's out the question, walks are not really working, as have been on the go since friday and nada big movements but not action stations.

oh & not liking pineapple, or hot curries - just really really not wanting a big baby, ie 9lb plus. :(

yes quite jen, v Envy how are you, did it come to anything?

i've managed to make it to the weekend before my due date (and it's not allowed to come today or tomorrow - family birthdays) off for some retail therapy today so hopefully it may kick start it all off and i'll have an obliging baby for tuesday. Hmm

blue - well congratualtions you. hope all's well.

mums - don't tempt me seriously lol. am willing to try anything atm.

in other news though sitting eating cake is very satisfying been up half hour & already had 2. oops. lol.

40+3 here now davidtennantsmistress not a bloody thing happening. Little miss has decided that the place to wedge her foot is where my ribs meet in the middle. I look like I'm growing a third breast. In severe pain now with spd, right down the middle of my pelvis, I've developed this John Wayne rolling swagger walk. Awake at 6 again. What a fucking joy being pg is.
Good on you for getting the cakes in so early :) nowt happening with you then? I'll send you some Tuesday vibes!

MrsChemist · 20/08/2011 09:08

I'm going for the "sitting on the sofa having a sulk" method of baby eviction.

So far, it's proving ineffective.

JenniferYellowHatsRedLingerie · 20/08/2011 09:11

MrsChemist you can't sulk without cake. I order you to get some now :)

blueShark · 20/08/2011 10:56

thx all!

staying active the day before going in labor made things much easier for me. I know its DC3 and usually they are unpredictable, either take longest or are fastest but I recommend staying busy as you will not have lots of time thinking about when its going to happen.

Good luck, I will be watching this thread for more news and babies x

I had no cake JYHRL and DS is still in there. Clearly the cake was the missing piece in the puzzle.

Actually nearly cried when I woke up this morning. It's not even my due date yet, but I'm just worn out and moody. I dread to think what sort of hell beast I'll become should I go overdue. I have great pity for DH and my relatives.

davidtennantsmistress · 22/08/2011 07:40

jen no nothing nada, we managed date night, we managed to dtd even though I was laughing and uncomfortable (hardly romantic for DP) who y'day was then sulking and emotional on account my hips are back to hurting again - ah well I don't care lets get this baby out lol)

mrsc when are you due? I woke up this am and thought OMG no kicks it's gone i've delivered nicely in my sleep - then tried to move - yeah not a good idea! lol.

blue - how are you getting on? i'm under strict instruction that even though i'm perfectly able to jump on a train and go to town with DS i'm not allowed to venture further than a half hour walk from home - honestly anyone would think it was a ticking bomb i'm carrying! :o

v ratty & moody today as not even so much as a braxton hicks, althou to be fair had none with DS - he was one long dull ache not even proper contractions even though the monitors said I had them apparently.

DTM, I'm due on Friday. Also DS's second birthday. I've made plans, so baby comes by tomorrow or stays put until after DS's birthday party and I'll brook no argument.

Having BH that are a tiny bit painful, but nothing major.

MrsChemist · 22/08/2011 11:17

I have a feeling that making plans is the only surefire way of evicting a baby Grin baby will no doubt turn up on Friday.

davidtennantsmistress · 22/08/2011 18:42

:o mrs c I had so many with DS, lunch with friends, the tesco delivery, no pay I ended up having to ring work to plead to get it paid the day before and XH had to fend for himself on the food front lol.

have been planning lots this time but so far nada - bet he makes an appearance friday as well as that's the keys/consultant day. tomorrow would be nice thou - it's just plain rude not to arrive on time. :o

OP posts:
MrsChemist · 23/08/2011 07:57

Oh yes, quite rude. DH hopes for today so he doesn't have to do a long shift at work. Hope he appears for you today :)

davidtennantsmistress · 23/08/2011 08:45

:o lol. what is it with these men - DP is still hoping every morning so he doesn't have to go to work, last night he kept waking up & I actually caught him watching me sleep - seriously!!

OP posts:
GeneralDisarray · 23/08/2011 11:04

ha at your DP davidtennantsmistress they'll do anything to scive wont they! I'm 37+3 ..DH won't have sex until we've finished painting the lounge in case i go into labour...ffs...

nocake · 23/08/2011 11:45

SIL is a MW and in a dull moment at work she worked out how much semen you'd need to get enough prostagladin to start labour. Let's just say that you'd need have a lot of sex.... no, more than that... and with lots of men to get enough semen. But please don't let that stop you trying Smile

davidtennantsmistress · 23/08/2011 18:36

lol. yes I know DP is now more willing as he's decided he's had enough in work. Hmm tbh all and any positions are not comfortable, and if I also need to ahem finish as it were then we'll never get there as i've got ishooos over that now (typical lol)

midwife & sweep today baby's still far too high - consultant friday earliest will be next week I think for this one to come out. :(

OP posts:
MrsChemist · 24/08/2011 11:48

:( sorry about your sweep being unsuccessful dtm.

Today, MIL suggested liquorice. I think it's just that it makes you poo, but I like liquorice, so I'm happy to pig out on it in the name of research :)

GeneralDisarray · 24/08/2011 11:55

oo oo ooo I just plucked my eyebrows and had mental braxton hicks, clearly I am genius!...Now I'm going to pluck all my hair that I can still see from the neck down...

lucindapie · 24/08/2011 14:07

anyone tried acupuncture or reflexology? My midwife gave me reflexology yesterday, and it was interesting, because I could feel the sensations in my uterus and the baby started moving. Still pregnant though! She's giving me another session today.

davidtennantsmistress · 25/08/2011 07:32

luc - may well give it a try over the weekend.

still nothing here, sweep did nada other than make me highly emotional as it was hardly comfortable, still another one tomorrow & consultant apt. even dtd isn't effecting anything.

liquor ice - has to be a better idea than caster oil. On the plus side at least I was able to buy a tens machine y'day. :)
