My new t-shirt will read:

Yes I am sure it is not twins
No I have not got my dates wrong
I hope I do make it to October, thank you very much, I am not wishing for a premature baby no matter how enourmous you think I may be.

I think the heat is making me cranky :)

Re the was it planned comment I tend to go with:
DH and I were practically snowed in for a month so it couldn't really be helped.

I am 43 with 2 older DC so not only do I find it a bit odd that people seem to think it OK to ask if DH and I still act like feckless teenagers I am also a bit amazed they think pregnancy at my age is something that is plannable.

Have also been asked already if I will be having any more after this one!

Poshbaggirl · 08/08/2011 07:32

With a 7 yr gap between my two, people would ask if they were the same father! The cheek! I'll be 42 if this is a positive. New Dad for this one though.

Rollersara · 08/08/2011 15:29

Can I just have
"yes, the baby will be in a wheelchair. Mine. How else am I going to carry it?"

lolajane2009 · 08/08/2011 15:46

one with my due date on please.

Dummyhunter · 08/08/2011 17:30

Mine would say 'my DH doesn't get to touch me right now, so get your filthy hands off my stomach' ahhh that feels better :)

ALotToTakeIn · 08/08/2011 18:29

I just need one that says
"Touch my bump and I'll touch you in a totally inappropriate place back!"

I also wish people could decide if they think my bump is massive or tiny or just shut up about it.

ALotToTakeIn · 08/08/2011 18:32

Oh and re the planned thing- I'm 27 so a young mum in my village, but have been married for 4 years without accidentally getting pregnant. Yet before we announced being pregnant someone asked us if we were infertile as we'd been married sooo long without having kids and then the minute I'm pregnant because I'm under 30 people assume it wasn't planned!!!!

Rollersara · 09/08/2011 09:19

Or maybe "Touch my bump and die".

Honestly am quite worried about this bit. Really don't like strangers touching me anyway, and have no idea why anyone would want to touch a bump other than my OH, I've certainly never has the desire to touch pregnant women.

localcrackpot · 13/08/2011 11:58

Mine will say "November. Close your mouth. If I didn't get bigger over the next three months I would be scared. Yes, I'll be huge."

cantthinkof1 · 13/08/2011 19:05

Do you know what you are having? - Yes a baby!

Your bump is getting bigger - thats the general idea - Dr's and MW's start to panic if it stops growing.

thegingerone · 13/08/2011 22:36

my week's worth of t-shirts
"my third actually"
"A girl or a boy...probably!"
"No I'm quite happy to have another boy. Boys are actually lovely"
"If you think I'm big now wait til you see me in November when I'm due"
"Yes I'm in a f**ing terrible mood, just don't ask me if I'm in a mood" (This one may have to be just for my DH's benefit Blush
"No a home birth isn't an option in my case for medical reasons"
" I love being pregnant and am so chuffed and blessed to be preg again that I can forgive you all the bump grabbing, nosiness, inappropriate comments on family planning, judgement and comments on my size"

NeedaCostume · 13/08/2011 23:46

LOL at this thread. I wish I'd had your T-shirt in my pregnancies - If I have a fourth I'll buy it off you!

lollystix · 14/08/2011 00:20

Mine would say:

Yes I am pregnant again
No I'm not mad - it wasn't planned
No I haven't mentioned it as I only found out myself when I was 15 weeks
Yes it is another boy and I couldn't care less
4 boys aged 5 and under- I know - how will I ever cope?
Yes we will have to buy another car- how observant
No I don't know where I'm going to put them all
I'm sure we'll somehow afford it - what choice do we have
Finished????

banana87 · 14/08/2011 00:26

Brilliant! I want one that says "I'm due in November, it's a girl, no I'm not disappointed to be having another girl, and although we do have a name we are not telling anyone so STOP ASKING!!!!". AngryAngryAngryAngryAngryAngry

And breathe...

Conchita · 14/08/2011 10:16

'No we weren't trying long. Yes it was first time. Yes you can't believe everything you read in the daily mail about the over 30s and fertility. Yes he is unbearable smug about it now stop imagining us having sex'

Poshbaggirl · 17/08/2011 22:40

Cbear6.... If u are still here, i'd like to say.....
As a newcomer to MN i now realise i have so much to learn. I butted in on a thread that i shouldnt have. You are so right that i was wrong. Some threads are just a rant or ask for help. Opinions have their place, but only when asked for.
I know that now! Must confess to learning a huge amount about myself and others since chatting and listening on MN and think its making me a better person.
Hope alls well with you. X

bonkers20 · 17/08/2011 23:01

Mine would have said "no, we are not going to move house" and "yes, my bump is small for dates and if you actually knew me you might know why but since you don't and it's none of your business just feck off"

Can I have a post partum one aswell? "yes, this baby is mine". I had more than a few people ask whether he was mine as I obviously didn't look like I'd just sprogged. I had people come up to me at the school gates saying "oh, I didn't even know you were pregnant". I felt like saying "ermm, I don't even know who you are!" nb. I was working full time at that time and wasn't often at the school.

Fortunately, my loving friends and family always say just the right thing.

SaffronCake · 18/08/2011 02:21

"There's a year and a week between 'em. If that says "slut" to you you don't get out enough".

stripeybump · 18/08/2011 02:54

I would have liked one to wear at work saying "yes, I have tried ginger biscuits" after my severe hyperemesis. And on the back, "now I have hard drugs"

I want one that says 'It's not a pregnancy, it's the latest craze in abdominal implants.'

isabelladeste · 18/08/2011 09:48

Re the prodding to determine the sex. I was at friend's party and a man who I and my DP have met several times actually asked who the father was. When my DP was STANDING NEXT TO ME. He was in earnest - or perhaps, because he was Belgian, it came out sounding serious when he was trying to be funny. He then tried to poke my belly. I whacked his hand away and told him to get the f__k off me, but not before he had already got his hands on me. He then seemed to be delighted to tell me it was going to be a boy.

Seems to me you become public property as soon as a bump shows - which is why I hid mine for as long as possible!

TeacupTempest · 18/08/2011 10:37

My DH's friend (well mutual friend really) asked if DH was sure he was the father!!!!!!

WTF?!?! We have been together for 12 years. Have a fab relationship and got married last Autumn.......

What was he thinking? How did he think that was appropriate?

DH replied "yes we are sure its mine but we are waiting to find out if its Teacup's"

Beesok · 18/08/2011 11:24

isabella and Teacup WTF??? I can't believe someone would ask you a question like that!!! Wow !! I am still in shock Shock

My t-shirt would say "We have a name and you'll find out when she's born"

Maybe I'm being over sensitive but I feel that the baby's name is a personal thing? I hate it when people insist esp. after I politely give them the hint by saying the usual "we haven't decided yet" and I know it's just them making conversation and am sure they're not that interested but then why insist on asking 4 times????? I mean, I understand friends etc but the new janitor at my school (who's name I don't even remember) ???

Rant over :)

Alikersh · 18/08/2011 15:13

Can mine read

Yes I am pregnant
Yes I do know what causes it
Yes I know my bump's bigger than last time
Yes I know we have one of each and I really don't mind what we have this time.
