If nothing more than to combat my severe boredom I thought I would get a thread together for the week I am due and see where everyone else is up to.

I am due 12th July and from looking at other threads I know there are many many babies due in the month of July!!

Please feel free to come along and join in and lets support each other though the next week (or dare I say two)!!

Should I keep a running log so we know who is who and due when??

Here we go:

Kerri - 12/07/2011 - 2nd Baby

Hope to hear from you soon, Kerri xxx

I'm the same Jimmy - alternating between not being able to breathe/eat and constant peeing/feeling like I have a bowling ball between my thighs :(

JimmyChoo17 · 11/07/2011 13:46

It's so frsitrating! I have a mw appointment this afternoon need to ask her about clicking bump....I swear baby is cracking it's knuckles!

I started mat leave on thursday and have to admit I'm insanely bored already. Can't imagine having had to start it earlier! The only good way to pass time is to eat...I'll be huge!

firstsupermum · 11/07/2011 14:40

Been feeling awful for a few days but dot know whether just been overdoing it and reading too much into 'symptoms'! DPs gaffa thinks it'll be the weekend, mum thinks it'll be the 18th. My dad hopes it'll be after the 18th as it's terribly inconvenient this weekend!! Lol, its funny listening to people's predictions!

Well I am delighted to be able to report that our baby girl now has a name Rose Mairi. Unfortunately we had to go back into hospital on Saturday as she had lost too much weight and was refusing to feed. She had to have a tube feed to get some emergency calories into her and we had to watch lots of blood tests and her having a thing put in her hand and everything. Thankfully she has come round and is now feeding well and we came home this morning. It is so lovely to have her at home, although I am panicking every time it is more than 4 hours between feeds. Fingers crossed she'll keep going with her feeding and we won't have any more panics.

Sorry I'm not catching up on anybody else's news just now, I need to get back to staring at my adorable daughter.

Midwives just been, Offered me a sweep since she was there which I took, cervix is dead soft and starting to dilate, so hopefully labour and baby should be in the next few days. Got another one on Sunday if no joy. Dead excited now!!!

clairefromsteps · 14/07/2011 14:27

Ugh, had an examination yesterday and cervix is still tightly clamped shut. This baby really doesn't want to come out. DH suggested holding my nose and blowing through it at the same time and maybe the baby will just shoot out. Hilarious, darling. Hilarious.

Kerri1983 · 14/07/2011 14:43

Hi All, had a sweep yesterday and midwife could feel babies head and everything, said if she had to come back on Friday morning to do another sweep she would be amazed!!

Well my contractions started as soon as she left and stayed at 6 mins apart for about 5 hours, decided to get a bath and guess what, everything STOPPED!!!! Arrrrrgggghhhh, I thought a hot bath was supposed to move things along, not had so much as a twinge since, been and done the shop at Asda and everything!!

Looks like I will be seeing the amazed midwife in the morning, lol!!

Wishing you all the best of luck with your deliveries if by some chance I go into spontaneous labour and dont get back on here by the weekend!!

hows everyone doing anymore babies yet, i got back from the hospital on wed night my son was born on tuesday morning on his due date, my contractions started just as i went to bed on monday night got up and thought it would all stop but it didn't i can;t explain it but i knew it was the real thing, i rang my mum at about midnight to tell her the baby was coming then rang the hospital at quater past when i realised they were every 4 minutes went in at half one and was 3cms they kept me in and at 6am i was only four so the midwife did a sweep and within half an hour i was 7cms (too late for an epidural so i had to cope on gas and air) unfortunatly my son was back to back and i had an anterior rim so it took till gone 11 to push him out i had to have an episotomy and lost a lot of blood but just avoided having to have a transfusion, was totally worth it though i'd do it all over again tommorrow to have that little baby. Hopefully everyone else will be holding their babies soon xxx

Lynzilove · 15/07/2011 11:32

Had sweep Wednesday and had a show last night, have been on a different planet yesterday and today, trying to keep busy. Had the odd cranky feeling but nothing that hangs around long.
Midwife will do another sweep on Sunday if he's not here by then! Half suspecting it to all kick off this afternoon as I really want to go see Harry potter and being in labour will completely KO that idea!!

Kerri1983 · 18/07/2011 10:14

Hi Everyone,

I can now announce the safe arrival of my DD Emilia Rose, she came into the world on Thursday after a very speedy delivery!!! My waters broke at home and within an hour she was born, I literally stepped foot into the hospital got onto the bed and she was here!!! Total labour 1hour 20mins.

I was home and back in my own bed within 5 hours, a very surreal experience!!!

Hope everyone else is doing ok, keep plodding on, it wont be long until they are all here!!!

BOB - Sorry to hear that your labour was difficult, worth it in the end though, what name did you pick?

Speak soon, Kerri xxx
