i love the name ellis so i would choose that one aslong as your surname starts with a K sound not a S sound

vickiyumyum · 19/11/2005 09:48

out of those names i like Ellis!

NomDePlume · 19/11/2005 09:48

Agree with gigglinggoblin, so long as your surname starts with a 'hard' c and not a soft one, Ellis is my fave.

LadyTophamHatt · 19/11/2005 09:48

Hmmm
1st)Ellis
2nd)Rueben
3rd)Nolan (too girly IMo...nolan sisters and all that)

LilacBump · 19/11/2005 09:48

reuben

sansouci · 19/11/2005 09:51

If your surname is one syllable, go for a first name with at least 2.

anchovies · 19/11/2005 09:52

Yep it's a hard C

Surname is one syllable hence no names with only one syllable

Ellis or Reuben. Think I like Ellis more, though both lovely.

sansouci · 19/11/2005 09:55

Have a look at his little face before you decide! I quite like Rueben. Ellis sounds too much like Alice and Nolan, well... ho-hum! There's an honest reply for you, at least.

lucycinco · 19/11/2005 09:55

rueben

anchovies · 19/11/2005 10:00

What a shame, nolan is dh's fave and I wasn't too keen!

love Reuben (would definitely call a ds it, particularly if I had thought it was going to be a dd... it means 'see, a son' {grin]) but (sorry) don't like Ellis or Nolan.

foundintranslation · 19/11/2005 10:29

I don't really like Mackenzie either, unless there is a scots connection of course.

To be honest don't like MacKenzie or Kenzie for that matter a lot of younger mums are calling their babies them and I think it sounds chavvish and will date really quickly

Out of your names would chose Ellis then Reuben!

roosmum · 19/11/2005 11:18

reuben. i know a little girl called ellis, thus sounds girly to me now!

Gillian76 · 19/11/2005 11:21

Mackenzie's quite american too I think!

Reuben

HRHQoQ · 19/11/2005 11:24

I'd got for Reuben - don't really like Ellis or Nolan (sorry).

lilibet · 19/11/2005 11:33

I like Rueben Ellis, think it's a nice combination

cupcakes · 19/11/2005 11:36

If you go for Reuben his initials will be RC. Or arsey.

saadia · 19/11/2005 11:53

Sorry I don't like any of those, do like
