Oh Yorkshire - they'll be a bit confused

HRHQoQ · 16/11/2005 00:22

She also had a friend at horticultural college from Surrey who was known as Flossy too

gingerbear · 16/11/2005 00:23

gingerbear · 16/11/2005 00:24

dadofthree · 16/11/2005 00:26

Oi - I live in yorkshire - and at the top near Cleveland....not totally confused.

almost40 · 16/11/2005 04:29

rebecca. Felicity is a bit trendy, no?

LadyTophamHatt · 16/11/2005 07:45

Felicity.

Kittypickle · 16/11/2005 07:55

Felicity as I know too many Rebecca's and I don't like the shortened versions of it.

piffle · 16/11/2005 08:00

I always think of shortened names which kids inevitably do if you do not do it first
I have known lots of Felicity's = Fliss Floss and Flic/Flicka

Rebecca is usually Becky or Beks or Becca.
The Flic's I have known were all very successful arty, drama, very cerebral girls so I'd choose Flic personally

slightly biased but REBECCA all the way - my gorgeous 3 week old dd is Rebecca (Becky for short)

throckenholt · 16/11/2005 08:33

Rebecca here as well

PiccadillyCircus · 16/11/2005 08:35

Rebecca. DH's brother's MIL is called Felicity which puts me off it a bit.

Springchicken · 16/11/2005 08:36

Personally dont love either but like the abbreviations of both. I love Becca, becks, becky, flis, flick etc.

If you are going by full name thought I would go with Rebecca

Hayls · 16/11/2005 08:50

I much prefer Felicity. I know one and hse is lovely- her name is shortened to Flick. Rebecca is nice but will be shortened, which I'm not took een on as I know too many Beckys!

Lizzylou · 16/11/2005 08:53

Personally prefer the name Felicity but I know of one hideous woman called that so that would seriously deter me from choosing the name! rebecca is a lovely name and one of my oldest friend's name, altho I am not so keen on Becky.

Jackstini · 16/11/2005 08:56

Rebecca - timeless name & I like all the shortened versions. Felicity just sounds very 'jolly hockey sticks' to me (sorry)

clary · 16/11/2005 09:11

felicity is a fave of mine because it means happiness.
There are a lot of Rebeccas about if that bothers you.

HumphreysCorner · 16/11/2005 09:34

Deffo Rebecca

(((xxx)))

Enid · 16/11/2005 09:37

dont really like either and would find it hard to choose - if I had to and it were for my child then prob Felicity although i think quite wet.

Avalon · 16/11/2005 09:38

Felicity.

One of dd's friends is an obnoxious Rebecca.

allyco · 16/11/2005 16:24

Felicity ('cos I'm thinking of it too if this baba is a girl).

Not sure about Rebecca there are a few about and my DD plays with one who I don't like
