Hello ladies

The one thing I love about MN is that we can all have a moan without feeling like a burden! So please join me...!

So...37 weeks with dc4. And had enough!!

DDs 1,2 & 3 don't care that mum resembles a blimp...theyve been on school holidays and have been bored (I can't do much compared to jam packed holidays normally!).

DD3 (2yo) has decided not to sleep. Ever. Or so it seems...(last night darling DH woke her leaving for work and she was up from 2:30 until 6:30am when I had to get up to do the school run). 3 kids were crying in the wee small hours because THEY were tired Angry. it's the 4th night in a row dd3 has been up all night.

My fanjo hurts thanks to massive vulval swelling on one side (which I was ordered onto bed rest for but it's a physical impossibility with 3 DDs!) and I can barely walk! MIL had a moan at me for "walking like John Wayne"...I was so tempted to flash my bits at her to shut her up Shock

I'm having MEGA braxton hicks with some whopping period & back pain which makes looking after the LOs tough work!

And I'm so heavy/sore/weepy that I cant wait for it to be over...then feel guilty for moaning as I really LOVE being pregnant & I'm being sterilised with my ELCS Sad.

Oh and I cant eat my giant cadbury dairy milk bars anymore as the heartburn makes me sick!

Thats better........Grin. Anyone else??

Oh you poor love - sounds flipping miserable.

I daren't say a word as my woes pale in to insignificance compared to yours. I am 39 weeks and aside from SPD, simply bored. It's my first...can you tell?

Are you able to dump drop kids off with you MIL for a couple fo hours and simply have a kip? From the sounds of things you're blummin exhausted and will need to try and conserve something to push the LO out?

I am in slight awe, seriously. And am vowing to stop moaning about my minor ailments.

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 18/04/2011 19:21

I've done nothing but moan for the last few days, it's almost embarrassing. :o
39+4 with severe SPD, a 21 month old toddler, a pretty unsympathetic husband and an attention seeking MIL to put up with. I have developed a very short temper and am constantly ready to murder people.
oh, and I've been in slow labour for two. bloody. weeks.

could your one-sided swelling be a bartholin cyst?

clouiseg · 18/04/2011 19:28

Grin at you playing down your own worries littlemilla! as far as I'm concerned there is no measure of better or worse off in pregnancy...we feel like crap. End of. Hahaaaa!

And fwiw, my neighbour just had a CS for severe SPD with her first so I absolutely sympathise with you! It sounds horrendous!

I'm gagging to drop the kids off but MIL and I have a silent stand off every time we meet at the moment...she is more worried about DH being woken by DD3 when she refuses to sleep!! Sod me at home alone with 3 kids though!! She's offered to have DH sleeping at hers so HE can rest Angry!

I'm having an ELCS but despite being exhausted I'm trying to put it off as long as poss (they wanted 37w, I managed to get up to 38+5 Wink). Quite honestly I cant begin to imagine HOW I'm gonna cope with my brood AND a bf'ing newborn right now! Shock Plus recovering from a CS & DH intends only to take 10 days off work.

now I sound like a right moany old mare Grin

clouiseg · 18/04/2011 19:31

Oh ivy how crap Sad

Slow labour is equivalent to torture! Bless you!

How are you managing with that and a toddler?! Shock

The swelling is part of a very complex & rare vascular condition I have...hence being sterilised this time Sad. tis a pain in the...well..fanjo! Grin!

moan away. I'll have a little rant about the consultant I saw this morning: Have been told all through this pg (no2) that I will not be allowed to go overdue as I have GD (like last time). Except that today I was told that because of all the bank holidays, assuming I haven't gone into labour naturally before DDate, I can come in and see them 3 days after and then they'll decide what to do. So GD is only a problem on a normal working week, but if there is a bank holiday then its fine to go overdue Hmm?

clouiseg · 18/04/2011 19:44

Shock trixie that's ridiculous! Obviously your GD is meant to take a bank holiday too!!

Is there no way they can fit you in the few days before the bank holidays? Given your history and the fact that technically you're term from 37weeks...?!

Am really Angry for you!

soppypreggyloon · 18/04/2011 20:00

That's awful trixie!
My elcs was scheduled for wed this week but had to be moved as they have a major complicated cs to do that day. So they are doing me and the three other elcs on good Friday!
If my pct (Bristol) can find the money and resources I'd ask yours why they can't!

I'm fed up of being a beached whale, hormonal, weepy, heartburn, achey, Etc. BUT it's nothing compared to what a lot of people go through. Bring on Friday I say! Grin

Almost6 · 18/04/2011 20:16

Can I join to please!
Am only 33w, but so fed up! Am not sleeping (constant night time wee's, SPD hip pain, toddler that won't stay in his bed etc), feel so shattered, am a miserable cow! Kids are bored coz I can't be arsed to do stuff in hols, normally action packed but a picnic in the park is best I can manage at the mo!
Not a very supportive hubby (coz I bribed him for 1 last bub, it's my own fault), feel like kicking him in the knackers so he feels the pain of having engorged bits, then saying what's for tea? Legs are covered in horrible purple/blue bulging veins, not to mention other parts! Piles, constipation, feel like I have every pg problem going! But after 5 fairly easy pg's suppose I had to expect something, just didn't expect em all together :(
Am so excited at the thought of labour, can't wait to meet ds 6. Only 7 more weeks left! Am gona wait til I'm 35w n get the ball out along with raspberry leaf, evening primrose, pineapples, and drag hubby upstairs for big sesh (with the lights out lol) just want it over now, and as much as the thought of sex horrifies me at mo having to deal with extra weeks horrifies me more!,
Good luck to every1

CapsizeQueen · 18/04/2011 20:26

Well I have SPD and horrendous heartburn that is triggered by even WATER.
Have put on too much weight due to limited exercise opportunities due to the SPD and so feel like a beached whale .
And I'm only 30 weeks so have 10 more to go.

And I feel so tired! Is it wrong to have a nap everyday and yet still sleep for 8 hours every night even though I'm on school holidays and doing bugger all?

growing3rdbump · 18/04/2011 20:53

I would like to moan too!!! I'm 36 weeks today and also suffering on the school holidays with two active kids and a not very supportive DH!!!
Feeling HUGE, uncomfortable and tired and as though I spend the whole day organising things for the DC's to do and then tidying / cleaning up after them all day!
I think I need to get out for the day tomorrow so I don't have to worry about the housework (which has become a bit of an annoying obsession!!!)

Today I managed to get us all up in my bed watching a DVD while I enjoyed short nap - bliss!

Perpetuallypregnant · 18/04/2011 21:09

37+3 here and sooo ready for eviction!
I have 3 school age dcs all off for Easter plus my 11m old dd3 who currently has a cold and is up at least 3 times a night :( plus spd and acid reflux.

Do I win?..hahaha

Had a show over the weekend and lots of cramping and random contractions but no baby. I have always gone overdue but I am startimg to feel that this one will be a bit earlier (pleasepleaseplease).

I finally have a physio appt on Thursday for my SPD which is awful, by the night time I can barely walk and am in agony... I had it last time too but thankfully both times it onlhgot bad around 34 weeks or so, I know some women suffer with it for a lot longer!

Loving the moan.... Im thinking most of my friends and family are well sick of me so im trying to smile through my pain :(

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 18/04/2011 21:11

there seems to be something in the water with the kids not sleeping.. DS was up most of the night last night because he wanted cuddles. my husband moved to the sofa so DS could sleep in with me (nevermind the fact that the sidecart cot is actually in our room ready and set up for new baby, DS didn't want to sleep in it anyway..) so we had a whole double bed to ourselves+sidecart, and where did DS want to sleep? with his face on top of mine, arm around my neck, me holding him. very very sweet, but such an uncomfortable position that I had to move eventually. didn't suit him, so he headbutted me. Hmm

I am just hoping that this labour steps up a notch soon. sigh.

WidowWadman · 18/04/2011 21:12

33+something and thoroughly fed up. Struggled with kidney infection for over 3 weeks now, have been hospitalised twice with it and really really can't take much more.

At least I know when my CS is scheduled for (and am counting the days), so there is an end in sight, even if its still over 5 weeks away.

37 weeks and aching all over.

Our bed mattress is the bane of my life right now, it's old, bumpy, stiff, full of dents and 2 metal springs have burst out, so all through the night I'm shuffling around to avoid being stabbed by a metal prod. I have mild SPD which makes bed time extra fun. Not.

Waaah.

trixie123 · 18/04/2011 21:57

thanks for the replies. It is a bit crap but my GD is really borderline so I have no real actual worries about going a bit overdue, just get a pissed off with the inconsistencies of their approach - one minute its so urgent that they MUST induce me, monitor me etc and the next its not. They also just assume that you've got nothing better to do than hang around the hospital all day to have a blood test at no notice rather than telling you that at x weeks you'll need it so you can plan around it. Minor inconveniences compared to what some of you poor ladies are going through and my DP has been doing the lions share of entertaining DS as he is a teacher and off work but nice to have an unapologetic moan!

clouiseg · 19/04/2011 00:09

Well ladies if nothing else we can all take comfort from the fact that we're not alone in our suffering! Makes me feel a little better, don't know about everyone else?

As we speak dd3 has been up twice already, DH with a rare night off is now snoring like a beast & obviously feels he needs sleep more than me tonight as he hasn't stirred Angry. but of course I had a whole 2 hours kip so WHY would I need to rest? Good god here I go again!! Shock

think I'm gonna reach for the dairy milk bar, swiftly followed by gaviscon advance! It's not like the heartburn will be the only thing keeping me awake!

Can I join in too please. I'm 36+5 with twins and I resemble a sky scraper, stomach so big now it's agony, got spd, gestational diabetes, sciatica etc, haven't been out the house in ages due to the weight of the bump.

Got one child at nursery so he's off for Easter and another set of twins to entertain and it's just not happening. Been getting regular braxton hicks and contractions since week 29 but theydont lead to anything so just have to put up with them. Thank god only got until next week to go and i'm being sterilised at the same time as I seem to like making twins!!! My body doesn't like carrying themthough!!!

HipHopOpotomus · 19/04/2011 04:11

Oh bugga just lost long moan!

Moan moan 38 + 4. moan moan spd, reflux, no cake. Moan moan tired :)

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 19/04/2011 08:53

rasta I feel your pain, when I was pregnant with DC1 we had a 10 year old crappy sprung matress that had sort of split all down the middle when we moved (there weren't any holes, but the springs popped out all down the centre), and laying on it was agony. I relieved the problem a little bit by taking a double duvet folded in half and sleeping on top of that. not perfect but definitely better.

clouise when DS walks out of his bed in the middle of the night my husband quite frequently says "If I don't get my sleep I'm going to be grumpy tomorrow". what about your heavily pregnant, SPD suffering wife?

HGJ gosh, I really feel for you.

harrygracejessica · 19/04/2011 09:33

My OH daren't moan he's tired lol. I do feel bad thoughcos I keep him awake alot cos I have the turning circle of the titanic when moving in bed lol. Got certain ways I can turn over and many a time I get stuck!!! Come on next week hurry up so I can meet these boys :)

I'm lucky as OH has from Thursday off work for 11 days as he booked off the time inbetween the bank holidays and then goes straight into paternity leave so I'll have him home for 3 weeks after my c-sec and a week before :)

Almost6 · 19/04/2011 10:01

Rasta I also know how you feel! Old mattress was lumpy n bumpy, hubby surprised me with a new one that's 10x more uncomfy coz it's like sleeping on a brick! Of course I'm an ungrateful cow, but sleeping on the floor with a couple of sleeping bags is softer! And he don't notice coz he could sleep on the washing line!
Meridith I feel for your problem of mil, did have similar probs to start with when we had our first, but think she finally got the msg I don't care what she thinks and dh will do as I tell him for a whiter homelife! I now just get told if we need anything to ask, so I did n gave her lots of patterns for little cardys as I can't find any I like!
Hgj, SPD I a normal pg is awful so god knows how your feeling with it being twins, but on no'6 and I would still like to have twins :)
Well here's to us all, at least we all got a good thing to look forward to! & hgj you have double the joy! So I will carry on moaning but also take pleasure in the fact it will end soon(ish) and we'll forget all about it n prob do it again :)

Almost6 · 19/04/2011 10:03

meant to say quieter homelife!

saldoozer · 19/04/2011 17:13

Hi, i'm 37+6 now and grumpy, I have an on off back problem that keeps causing sciatica, reflux and feel the size of a house.
Have been eating pineapple, drinking RLT and going for walks even though everyone keeps telling me that 1st babies always go overdue. This is not what i want to hear but trying to concetrate on the fact that it can only be 4 weeks max before LO gets going (they induce at 13 days over in this area)
On the plus side i saw Ivysedais post about rhubarb and custard cake and googled the recipe. Have made it this afternoon and it is delicious Grin

clouiseg · 19/04/2011 22:30

Ok so add to my original moan....

DD3 has chickenpox...a matter of days before dc3 could be born by CS Shock. Un-bloody-believable!!

Oh and today I have developed lopsided legs with one of my ankles ballooning up so I can barely walk.

Greeeeeeeat! Hmm
