link. I'm too lazy to look at them Blush

sum04 · 02/04/2011 16:46

Sorry i haven't got a clue how to add links..

MrsStudMuffin · 02/04/2011 16:47

I would say neither if they are £60 each.

Links are easy to do.

Type paste link, type voila
or cut and paste and tick convert links automatically.

JiltedJohnsJulie · 02/04/2011 16:50

You really need to learn how to link if you want people to look at stuff sum. As for the change bag, just get the free one from Boots.

ImBrian · 02/04/2011 18:38

I spent about £60 on my JuJu be changing bag, still using it for dd whos just gone 3 and will be using it with next baby so worth it in my opinion :)

PrincessScrumpy · 02/04/2011 18:45

I love my blooming marvellous bag and last weekend when we were out everyone was complementing me on it and asking where I got it from. Nobody commented on how well behaved dd was being all day - just the bag! :-)

bessie26 · 02/04/2011 20:03

£60?? Bloddy hell! That's a lot of money to spend on carting around stinky nappies! Hope your DH appreciates the styling as he'll have to carry them around too. (or is he buying his own?)

with DD, I used the free one from Boots for a few months until I knew what my requirements were (mainly a nice thick change mat & a separate pocket to put dirty nappies in) & then bought a fab one from for about £20. I just picked a lovely "blooming marvellous" one up from our local 2nd hand baby shop (for #2) for £5 Grin

JiltedJohnsJulie · 04/04/2011 09:45

Agree with bessie £60 is a lot to spend, especially when you're not sure what your requirements will be. If you use disposables and bf you could probaby get away with quite a small one. If you need to cart around bottles you might need a bigger one.

Think using the free one is a good idea, then get an upgrade if you still need it.

ShowOfHands · 04/04/2011 09:52

Get the one you like the most Confused. I just used a bag. £60 is a lot of gingerbread.

And links you can either do yourself according to the simple instructions or click on the helpful 'convert links automatically' box.

buttonmoon78 · 04/04/2011 10:19

I agree - use the boots one til you work out what you want. I've never spent £60 on a handbag let alone a glorified rubbish bag!

midori1999 · 04/04/2011 11:35

I would never spend £60 on a handbag or usually not on a pair of shoes or something for myself either, but a good changing bag can double up as a handbag and will last for ages and still not look tatty, so I don't think £60 is a lot to spend, and it's midrange as changing bag pricing goes.

Off to have a look...

buy a pacapod!

jasmine51 · 04/04/2011 11:39

Dont believe in changing bags Im afraid - another of those 'must haves' that just arent. Buy a big beach bag or use the free one from Boots...and spend the £60 on something more useful....like chocolates...or a massage!

buttonmoon78 · 04/04/2011 11:41

See - that's where we differ, Midori. I would not think twice about spending £60 on a pair of decent shoes but then I have quite awkward feet so I usually buy shoes to last. For example, I buy winter boots at £130 without considering the cost but I then expect them to last me at least 3-4 winters of pretty heavy use.

IME a changing bag rarely lasts more than 12 months no matter how expensive as it's subject to all sorts of things spilling in and on it. So I always go down the cheap route.

And I second the concerns that the OH inevitably has to use it. I am a sahm and DH rarely takes the kids out at the weekend without me but there have been occasions where he has and if he had to carry a v feminine bag he would probably tip it all out into a sainsbury's carrier!

buttonmoon78 · 04/04/2011 11:42

Mmm. That would be a lot of chocolate Jasmine! I'm salivating at the thought!

midori1999 · 04/04/2011 11:45

Without any doubt the Pink Lining one, although I much prefer the other Pink Lining Blooming Gorgeous changing bags in the current range.

The Kath Kidson one is vile IMO. Sorry.

midori1999 · 04/04/2011 11:49

My DH can buy his own changing bag if he's bothered... Grin

Natzer · 04/04/2011 12:07

A friend very kindly bought me a pink lining bag, the grey bows one, and it is gorgeous. Hubby will use the free boots one.

I say spoil yourself if thats what makes you happy. I do x

Alioco · 04/04/2011 12:16

What free Boots one?!

Natzer · 04/04/2011 12:21

If you join the boots baby club you get a voucher for a free changing bag. I have applied online at boots.com but havent yet received my voucher yet. Only applied last week.

BikeRunSki · 04/04/2011 12:23

I had a Cath Kidston one.
Hated it.
Very big & bulky on the outside, very small on the inside.
Much prefered the free Boots one.

To get the Boots one, you need to join the Baby Club and buy a packet of Pampers.

nunnie · 04/04/2011 12:52

I am a tight bottom, so my advise will be none.

lizandlulu · 04/04/2011 13:19

i do like both, but prefer the pink lining bags, i have just bought one and although i have not used it yet as baby is not here yet, i love it!
