Hi,
first of all, hello to you all and I hope you had a good day.
Now, I joined this forum as I would like to hear opinions of being a first time mother (I am currently 44 years old) hubby is 52. He has already 2 kids 19 and 18 years of age and would now like another one with me.
Has anybody experienced a first time pregnancy at that age?
Really sorry, but I just thought to ask. There are famous people (if you can call them that) who got pregnant in later stage in life.
I was on a coil for the last 5 years, but got my period back with no problems and a little bit of help from Dong Quai&Agnus \castus.

Can you please give me some insight, would be very much appreciated. Many Many thanks X

The fact that you are putting some thought into whether you are too old suggests you will be a lovely, considerate parent. I don't feel that 44 is too old. I had mine at 42 and apart from perhaps struggling a bit more with the newborn sleep stuff than younger new mums I don't feel there's any difference.

So if you want to do it - go for it! Just make sure you do it now. I was only able to conceive at 42 with a lot of very expensive help. You will always hear stories on here about people knowing someone in their 40s and even late 40s who conceived easily but I have several friends who were unable to conceive with their own eggs after 40. And as already mentioned it's very possible that these celebrities used donor eggs.

Don't let that put you off though and I wish you the very best of luck!

I had a first baby at 43.
Got pregnant with no problems.
Had baby.
Brought baby up happily and seemingly successfully.
That’s it.
