24+4 and not felt baby move in 48 hours? HELP!

Hi

I'm currently 24+4 and not felt baby move in 2 days. She is normally VERY active in the evening. I've done everything it says on the net. Layed on my left, had a sugary bar drank orange juice but nothing? I'm getting worried now but am anxious to call the hospital as last time i went in in pain they made me feel very unwelcome like i wasnt suppose to be there :(
Any more help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
xx

Hi
Please please please call your antnatal ward they really would rather you went in and were monitored for a while just to check everythings ok.

HiBarryScottHere · 01/03/2011 09:02

Hospital. Now!!!

kreecherlivesupstairs · 01/03/2011 09:03

NOW. Even if they make you feel unwelcome, you know you have to go NOW

Flisspaps · 01/03/2011 09:04

Hospital. Sod feeling unwelcome, it's what they are there FOR!

Icoulddoitbetter · 01/03/2011 09:05

My midwife insisted that I fill in a chart and that if I hadn't felt x amount of movements in x hours then I had to call the hospital. I think that approach is abit OTT, but I certainly think that the hospital wouldn't feel you were being silly. There's been quite a big change in the usual pattern, so you really need to call the EPU and let them know. That's what they're there for, and IMO it doesn't matter how many times you turn up there worried, much better safe than sorry.

Hope everything is ok Smile.

Ring them! Its important and you have every right to get reassurance. My prediction is that you will rush to hosp and you LO will have a kicking frenzy just as you park the car!
It may be that your LO has shifted position and is kicking in a direction you cant feel eg facing backwards and kicking placenta? My own placenta is at the front to one side and if bump is over there I have panics, it must be like kicking into a duvet!
In the longer term perhaps you could hire a doppler so you can have a quick reassuring listen in

By the way I am 24+5 so we are almost due date buddies! x

Thinking of you xxx

Deciduousblonde · 01/03/2011 09:36

Ditto what everyone else has said..if you are worried, ring them & go in.

Hope all is well for you xxx

Dramamama · 01/03/2011 10:16

Get to the hospital now! as the other ladies have said it's what they are there for, it might be just that she's turned inwards so you can't feel her movements but better safe then sorry. Hope all goes well x

MmeLindt · 01/03/2011 10:18

Go to the hospital if you are worried. It is probably nothing but better to get checked out and then you have peace of mind.

Ignore any comment from the hospital. Your emotional and physical wellbeing, and the health of your baby, is more important.

Good luck.

SavannahRose · 01/03/2011 11:37

Hey ladies thanks for all your comments. I'm in hospital now. Heard babys heart beat but now they think my placenta has reptured as the midwife says tummy doesn't feel right :( just waiting to see the doctor x

Hope eveything is ok SavannahRose
I went in with DD1 at 30 weeks as I hadn't felt her move for most of the afternnoon. We called an ambulance and as i stepped up the huge step she kicked. I was so relieved I could of cried. They took me in for some monitoring and it turned out that as I had had a huge fish and chip dinner she was probably sleeping it off. I got given a kick chart and have used a similiar one to measure my other babies kicks.
