24+4 and not felt baby move in 48 hours? HELP!

Hi

I'm currently 24+4 and not felt baby move in 2 days. She is normally VERY active in the evening. I've done everything it says on the net. Layed on my left, had a sugary bar drank orange juice but nothing? I'm getting worried now but am anxious to call the hospital as last time i went in in pain they made me feel very unwelcome like i wasnt suppose to be there :(
Any more help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
xx

Don't worry about nursery furniture for goodness sake!

I hope she stays inside for much longer. If she's born now, she will spend a long time in NICU (certainly long enough to think about furniture another time).

I hope they are looking after you and that everything turns out OK. Take care. :)

ChippingInMistressSteamMop · 02/03/2011 11:16

Are you staying in?

If she comes this early you will have a little while to sort the room out :) If not, she can sleep in your knicker drawer!! Wink

pipplin · 02/03/2011 11:21

Hope all is ok, fingers crossed she stays put a little longer and you both stay safe

hippy3 · 02/03/2011 12:23

savannah have been watching this thread...I REALLY hope that it all goes/ went well.....? If she does come this early then like the others have said she will be in NICU for a while. She will be looked after like a little princess....and you and you DP will be able to get everythng ready for her when she comes home. I am keeping my fingers and toes and everything else crossed for you...Smile when / if you get a chance let us know how you and the baby are....xx

Hope all goes well.

midori1999 · 02/03/2011 12:52

I hope you are doing OK.

My friend had a very bad placental abruption at 24 weeks (she kept saying she didn't understand how a person could bleed so much and still be alive, let alone her baby) and managed to hang on until 28 weeks. Her baby girl is now 2 and teeny tiny, but just fine.

Babies born very early will be likely to have to stay in NICU until their due date and won't need any clothes or anything as they'll be in an incubator with only a nappy at first, so don't worry about not having things.

Good luck!

Still keeping my fingers crossed and breath held. Hopefully she will stick in there for a wee bit longer! She must be excited to meet her mummy that why Smile good luck x

Tolalola · 02/03/2011 13:23

Fingers crossed for you Savannah. I'm due 15th June, so I know how scary it must feel for you. Really glad you went to the hospital.

BonzoDooDah · 02/03/2011 13:28

Good luck, fingers crossed for everything. I really hope you are both okay.

Owlingate · 02/03/2011 13:49

Have they scanned you at all yet? Have you had any bleeding or pain? I can't understand why they have left you until tomorrow morning with no other info. Are you sure they think it is an abruption? If you haven't had any bleeding then this is could be a concealed placental abruption which is very very dangerous and should be dealt with immediately. I can't see what sort of special sonographer could be needed - the pooling of blood could be seen on a normal ultrasound.
