I will join you! I'm 38+3 and so shattered! All I do all day now is laze around in my pjs and then feel guilty that I havent been more productive Blush

mamacorner · 24/01/2011 15:40

Me too, 38 tomorrow, but loving it, just had blissfull 1.5hr nap, now sitting on sofa with cup of tea and choccie biscuits, and who can object I have the perfect excuse!!!!
Wallow in it..it'll soon be SO different!!! ( can't wait).Smile.

sh77 · 24/01/2011 15:44

32 weeks, sat my work desk and am falling asleep from deep tiredness. Bring on mat leave next Thursday! 38 weeks seems so far away!

I slept a total of 25 hours between Friday night and Sunday morning. That's the equivalent of 3 days of working hours. Grin

Suzy - don't worry. You will be super productive in 2 weeks. Make the most of it.

robino · 24/01/2011 15:45

So glad I'm not the only one. I'm currently perfecting "101 ways to entertain 2 pre-schoolers from a reclined position without permanent recourse to Cbeebies" and fervently hoping there's a book deal in it! I really don't remember being this shattered before

mamacorner · 24/01/2011 15:51

Sounds exhausting, can't imagine feeling like this and having two little ones to look after, I'm benefiting from a big gap, two at school and plenty of time to indulge myself.
At least you're almost there and hopefully energy levels will recover..( well after the first 6 -8 weeks of unsettled nights etc etc )Wink

mandy1978 · 24/01/2011 16:07

37+1 and felt o not there at the superarket today it was scary... am shattered!

feel yr pain xxxxx

robino · 24/01/2011 16:13

Having just re-read your first post about your blissful nap mamacorner I think I may have to ban you from my whinge-y thread Wink. I love your optimism about the first 6-8 wks of unsettled nights - I breed non-sleepers (DD2 is 2.5 and still wakes regularly and DD1 was 4 last wk and has woken 3 nights this week). Oh, and DH works 300 miles away so it's just me during the week. I'm doomed Grin

I did wander about the 6-8 weeks thing seem to remember it being more like 6-8 months, and even that maybe my pink-tinged memories being unrealistic ( My two are now 10 & 11)...Confused

robino · 24/01/2011 16:29

Well, I think they're unrealistic Grin but I know there are others who think that's a load of cobblers and it's my fault my children don't sleep!

Not exhausted exactly, more creaking and achy - can't walk very far, sit for too long, climb stairs without wheezing etc. Am so over being pregnant now!

Readytoburst · 24/01/2011 16:56

37 weeks and only started maternity leave today! Got 2 weeks to get ready before section! Only just sat down and have to get up again to make dd's dinner! I swear I'll get more rest when the baby is here!!

hoolabombshell · 24/01/2011 17:56

36 weeks here, pretty sore and knackered and finishing work on Friday THANK GOD.

Hoping baby (my first) doesn't come early so I can feel the benefit of 2-3 weeks lazing about doing nothing, putting feet up, surfing internet, watching catch up TV, eating anything I want and maybe nesting if I can be bothered.

Will never in my life get to do it again! Best of luck to you and get as much rest as you possibly can.

Pinetreeland · 24/01/2011 18:02

37 weeks on Wednesday - drinking lots of raspberry leaf tea and hope that the baby will come soon. By the way is there a upper limit of how much raspberry leaf tea you should drink?

I can't really walk for too long without my back starting to hurt.

TooImmature2BMum · 24/01/2011 20:25

34 weeks and struggling to stay awake long enough to watch Glee and OBEM! 9 days of work left before maternity leave...

robino · 25/01/2011 12:45

Anybody feel any better today? I've managed to take DD1 to pre-school and back, have an hour's amble to town and back (mostly at 2yr old speed) and do a couple of chores (check my 1950's housewife style out Wink) and could now merrily hibernate for the rest of the day. Hope DD2 has a long sofa nap like she did yesterday and DD1 zones out in front of Cbeebies...

Nearly 37 weeks and going back to bed at any opportunity. I feel guilty that I'm not doing much and dh is dealing with our other 2 DC's a lot of the time as well as working full time.

mamacorner · 25/01/2011 15:07

I've managed very little..besides changing a couple of beds but man I'm SO SLOW ,38 weeks today (Yayy..nearly there!) midwife tells me today I'm "fit & well" (so it's just pregnancy related feeling knackered all the time!)

Hope you get some quiet time with the little ones robino, I'm sorry to confess I did manage a siesta and now enjoying a quick cuppa before I start running around to after school clubs with my older two.

Diamondback · 25/01/2011 15:25

Well, you're all gits and I am bitter and jealous Envy. I'm 37+6 and I'm freelance, the project I'm in charge of has slipped back (due to other people fannying about because they don't seem to realise I'm on an immovable deadline!) and it looks like I'll be working up to and possibly after the minute I go into labour.

Then, if I'm really lucky and very obdurate about it, I'll get two weeks off! Days like this, I wish I was back in the public sector...

snowangels1 · 25/01/2011 15:46

Just lurking and wanted to say Shock to diamond

anonMum2 · 25/01/2011 16:00

Hope I can still have a little whinge. Have been really busy till last weekend when I could finally relax, but caught a bad sore throat/cold last week. It's not too bad but bad enough for me to need afternoon naps, leaving me with a very unimpressed DS. He knows most Cbeebies programs and songs by heart. So if anyone knows how to entertain a toddler without getting off sofa please please let me know. Bring on labour, but then again, keep thinking.. oh, just one more night of rest. Can't win. :)

ozzysocks · 25/01/2011 16:21

I'm 35+1 and already tired all the time. Just the 3 school/nursery runs a day for my 2ds's exhausts me, although its bliss having child free time in morning for 3 hours!! Minimal housework and cooking is being done now and I am just moping around the house moaning about aches, pains,oh and the return of constant nausea...nice!
I remember my first pregnancy and how I literally lay around doing nothing for my maternity leave... ahhhh Grin I'm so glad I made the most of it then as not quite the same with 2 energetic ds's running around.

Although must admit there is alot of pixar film watching going on at mo :)

robino · 25/01/2011 17:00

Diamond Shock - you win. Do you want sympathy? I might be able to summon up the energy for some somewhere!

anonmum - a ball of wool/string is your friend. Well, it will if you can guarantee you will be able to keep your eyes open all the time to watch him. My two played "fishergirls and sharks" Hmm for an hour today while I sat and crocheted. And the fancy dress fairy disco went down well yesterday - as did the tidying up in return for extra octonauts

sh77 · 25/01/2011 17:14

Feeling worse today than yesterday despite having an extra .5 hours in bed. I had 4 ante-apts - 2 consultant apts, growth scan, meeting with perinatal services where i had to talk about my feelings. EXHAUSTING. Bougt some soup as I can't be arsed to cook anything. Going to bed at 8.

Kirisox · 25/01/2011 17:31

I'm 37+3 and really tired today. I've managed to get the tube to the hospital for BP monitoring, make lunch, load the dishwasher and put on some washing and that's it - feeling very lazy now but can't be arsed to feel guilty about it!

robino · 25/01/2011 17:59

I have just bribed the DDs most severely to get them to tidy the living room... Their complete and utter devotion to Octonauts is coming in very handy.
