Ok last time I was pregnant there was a thread on here with the same name and it made me feel less stupid about the overwelming urge to cry at absolutely anything.

I decide to start this tread again because I cried all the way around Sainsburys today Hmm why? because a very nice young lad (must of been about 12/13yrs old)asked me if I would like a hand getting my daughters buggy off the bus at my stop. He carried it down and the put it up for me, before jumping back on the bus - it wasn't even his stop! I couldn't stop crying thinking how proud his mum must be of him and how I wish I knew her so I could tell her!

Sainsburys staff were very nice too when asking if I was ok (I explained I was pregnant and hormonal Blush!) they offered me a cuppa and some tissues. Which made me cry even more - some people are so nice.

So please add your hormonal stories here - I already cant watch the news for fear of crying (bloody romantic royals!)

that is worth crying about though! what a lovely lad.

I'm 39 weeks now so only cry with the sciatica pain!! but when I was about 25 weeks I was snuggled up with the cat on the sofa and she looked at me with such love and appreciation (yeah I know) that I sat and wept because of the way she was looking at me!!!

God help me when baby is born and gives me a "look"!!!

lollipopshoes · 18/11/2010 11:03

you know that advert for bread where someone's burnt a loaf and they're all mourning for the "dead" loaf of bread...

well I howl at that!

It's not the dead bread, it's the grief on the peoples' faces.

And yes, I know they're actors!!

broccolitrees · 18/11/2010 11:07

I am nearly crying (I say nearly because I am only 5 weeks and haven't quite succumbed to crying at everything yet as I am still concentrating on keeping hold of my stomach) because of that lovely young boy. I want to know his mum too and tell her how proud she should be.
I am also nearly crying because I have had a few days off work and don't want to go back tomorrow. I want to stay at home and mumsnet because here nobody thinks I am a nutter and too far ahead of myself as I am only 5 weeks

Lollipopshoes - have you read your namesake book. I've just finished it and loved it!

I cried today when I got into work after 3 days off sick. I spent one day in hospital with suspected broken waters (I'm only 24 weeks). Luckily it turned it out to be just a small tear which had healed itself up but naturally the doctors had us worried sick about me possibly going into very early labour. Then took 2 days off "bed rest" on doctors orders.

Back into work this morn to be greeted my female colleague (with kids of her own) saying "you look well rested after your time off". Shock

Then got to my desk and realised that no one had even attempted to cover any of my work for the last 3 days so have massives to catch up on which will probably mean working one day over the weekend.

Felt very sorry for myself and had a small cry in the toilet :(

radstar · 18/11/2010 11:26

I'm crying now for your lovely story. I'm 18 weeks and have been like it since day one. It can be over anything, adverts, especially ones with babies in, stories on here on in the news.

Dh caught me absolutely sobbing at some kids show where the little bear's grandad died and some of ds's books I just can't get through I blame my mum for that one she has a fondness for sentimental ones!

I don't remember being this bad last time round.

oh4goodnesssake · 18/11/2010 11:26

I always cry when people pull over for fire engines and obviously if I watch The Railway Children "it's my daddy!". Oh, I'm filling up now.....

youngblowfish · 18/11/2010 11:26

Ah yes, I recently cried during Russel Howard's Good News, which is a comedy programme! He finished it with a story of Alice Herz-Sommer, who is the oldest Holocaust survivor. She is a musician and she described how music helped her survive the unimaginable horrors she went through. On being forced to perform in the camp, she remarked: 'Well, I thought, if we can play it can't be so terrible. The music, the music!' She still plays the piano beautifully.

And now I am crying again.

And here is a link to a Russel Howard had on the other week, which also had me howling. It features a really cute baby hearing his mother's voice for the first time after having a cochlear implant fitted.

GretnaGirl · 18/11/2010 11:42

I've cried so much in the last few weeks my nearly 3yr old DS just looks at me and say's "what's wrong now Mam?" with a sigh! I've had weeks off work and the thought of going back makes me want to cry but the long days at home alone also make me want to cry, catch 22! Thank goodness for Mumsnet, as broccolitrees says, at least on here noone thinks you are a nutter!

FunkyMonkey1983 · 18/11/2010 12:00

youngblowfish You just had me in tears for reminding me about the baby hearing his mother's voice for the first time! I couldn't stop crying when I watched that the first time.

Amberc · 18/11/2010 12:03

Oh Dear I am now sobbing after the boy on bus story and then looking at that link (30 weeks pregnant and VERY emotional!)

LotteryWinnersOnAcid · 18/11/2010 12:03

I have to turn over every time a RSPCA or Dog's trust ad comes on, otherwise I will be crying for hours.

Basically anything to do with animals makes me cry.

I cried because of a look my dog gave me the other day.

I cry often because it is so exhausting just getting undressed/getting out of the bath. I am a size now and dressing with very few actual maternity clothes is becoming an issue. I cry about that too. Grin

Labella77 · 18/11/2010 12:34

On Monday i watched Miranda on BBC2, never seen it before and i laughed and then cried hysterically for 10 minutes, the husband had to turn the TV off. It got to the stage where i was hyperventilating. unfortunately big laughter results in hysterical tears for me at the moment.

becaroo · 18/11/2010 12:39

I keep crying when I think if my lovely 7 year old ds who has gone back to school this week after being home schooled since Jan after awful bullying at his last school.

He has been so brave and I am so very proud of him!

ecuse · 18/11/2010 12:49

Oh thank God for this thread.

A couple of weeks ago we were sat on a train with a SCREAMING child for hours - I turned to my boyfriend and said 'look what we've let ourselves in for'. He makes a quip about how if our baby cries we'll just put it in the cupboard which was OBVIOUSLY A JOKE and I burst into tears about the fact that he wasn't going to love our baby.

Then last weekend I did the same thing as Labella77 - laughing until the point of hysteria then crying for ages for no reason whatsoever. It just felt like I physically needed to cry, which is really odd because crying is normally an emotional thing, obviously.

Oh, also I spent a Sunday morning a while ago moaning about the fact that I was exhausted and didn't want to get out of bed to go see the family for my sister's birthday lunch. What I really wanted was to hibernate in my pyjamas all day. I speak to my Dad on the phone and he says (with no hint of reproach) that I should stay at home and have a nice rest. So I cried for the rest of the afternoon about the fact that all my family were having fun without me and I was a terrible sister.

oh4goodnesssake · 18/11/2010 12:57

Labella77 yours made me laugh, every other entry is setting me off again...

VodkaGirl77 · 18/11/2010 13:00

Oh dear I'm crying reading your stories about crying and I'm three weeks postnatal!

Dummyhunter · 18/11/2010 13:01

Prematureexcelsisation · 18/11/2010 13:06

i cried this morning because DP didn't help me over the slippery mud. i'm not even pregnant, though i'd like to be

SpannerPants · 18/11/2010 13:22

The new John Lewis Christmas advert makes me cry Blush

crazybutterflylady · 18/11/2010 13:24

Loving these stories! I cried at the engagement interview...! Usually am the most hardened of people and am not into the royals at all but I thought the ring gesture was just so lovely

This morning a man leaned over to someone sitting down on the train and said 'there's a pregnant lady behind you, shouldn't you stand up?'... cue me fighting back the tears (whilst throwing daggers to all the people who'd clocked me then gone back to their copies of The Sun, grrrr)!

I cry at most things really...mostly TV programmes which aren't even remotely upsetting.

Labella77 I know that very well - it happens to me quite often, usually just as we're falling asleep, I think of something funny (well I think it is) and laugh and laugh till I am crying hysterically and can't breathe :) the joys of being a nutter! Hehe

VivClicquot · 18/11/2010 13:39

Another one who cries at the John Lewis ad.

And on Sunday morning, I cried when my DH gave me a card for our first wedding anniversary. Before I'd even opened it.

lambethlil · 18/11/2010 13:49

Oh4 DH and I saw Jenny Agutter in the park last weekend and chatted about dogs; DH didn't recognise her and I later tried to explain who she was (foggy railway platform, distant figure, 'Daddy, My Da..sob')- I wonder if most people cry when they meet her?

wussbird · 18/11/2010 13:50

Cried a few minutes ago because someone took a pop at me in another area of the forum. Am now crying because I think maybe I shouldn't post on here anymore!

me23 · 18/11/2010 13:57

I cry at everything, I'm crying just reading all the stories about you guys crying!
