Have tried googling but seems to be conflicting info? Really need to do something about my bikini line but shaving it's just horrid.. don't know how people cope with it - it itches like mad when it grows back!

I've veeted the whole way through, 36 weeks and have to do it in the mirror now! I also have to be a bit less adventurous with how much I get rid of. Unfortunately pregnancy has made my tummy hairier than DP's, I was plucking it, but it in the end there was just too much hair and Veet is the only way

Excellent.. thank you very much for all your replies! Just need to put the thorntons down and get my arse upstairs.. (and will do a patch test first as I've got quite sensitive skin so seems sensible)

Thank you!

Seem to have got quite hairy though that might be just lack of maintenance!

Alibaba - i am having a girl, like nameymc.

eastendmummy do you have 2 girls to bring the sample size to 3?!

You were planning to use Veet right at the end?? Do you seriously think you'll be able to see/reach/manoeuvre yourself into a position to be able to?? More than I was ever able to contemplate I have to admit...and have you ever got Veet onto the more er...delicate bits where it's really not meant to get? Shock trust me, it stings like hell for days and extra discomfort is something you could probably do without around about then...

I use Veet or a shaver attachment which came with my epilator (Phillips Satinelle Ice). The latter is less messy and probably quicker, but it does not shave that closely, so I don't have an issue with the rash/itching usually experienced after razors.

rach - that is interesting, I was v.hairy with DS and I'm hairy again this time which makes me think I'm having another boy - I'm only 16 weeks so I don't know yet but I expect I'm right!
A survey of friends suggests werewolf = boy, no need to depilate during pregnancy = girl.

emmie31 · 08/10/2010 14:34

I did !!! both my children are fine, I also told the midwife i was gonna pop to the bathroom and veet myself before c section and she was fine.

Runningrach - 2 boys here so not sure I'm any help to your survey!

Veet website states its ok -

Are Veet Creams suitable for everyone?

Creams can be used by everyone, including pregnant women, as long you follow the Precautions and Directions for Use. It is advisable for teenagers under 16 to be supervised by an adult when using any depilatory method.

I had my usual wax last week and it hurt like HELL!!!!!!!!!! Interestingly though, I usually have to take antihistamine or I go red and blotchy - obviously didn't this time, but had no reaction at all.

I am seriously considering different options. If it hurt that much at 13+2 then there's no way it's going to get better as I get more blood pumping round my system!!

I look like a werewolf within a week of waxing at the best of times, so really hoping that I have a hair stopping Beanie!

weeblueberry · 13/02/2013 10:55

It can get into your bloodstream?? Confused

I've been using it on my tache (yep, I'm just that lucky...) but have never used it on my nethers mainly because I'd be worried it would end up going somewhere sensitive. Grin
