I'm 30 weeks and struggling. I can only think it must be the weather, I'm sure I felt brilliant at this stage with DS who was an April baby. I find that if I do anything remotely strenuous in the morning I'm shattered after lunch and have to have a lie down whilst DS is kipping (thank goodness he still does). Please tell me I'm not the only one, I'm not even working

Good for you daisystone, one day last week I didn't even shower. It was either get clean or do some housework and the house was more disgusting. jjkm it's lovely when DH helps, especially when you're feeling so rotten but I get a guilt complex as he is at work all day and I'm at home , thanks for your praise btw .

I win- I'm STILL in my dressing gown!! I'm hoping to make it into town to meet my DH and friends for a meal tonight so i'm sort of saving what puny amount of energy i do have until i really have to have a shower and get ready. Which is when i will most likely move incorrectly, aggravate the SPD and have to bail out of going out altogether. Rats.

I'm sat at work contemplating how soon before I can go and get my afternoon cup of tea and choc bar because I have no energy or motivation to do any of the work I need to do. And then I'll contemplate how long before I can leave without looking like I'm taking the piss. Am feeling knackered and huge - bump has been stretching all week so feel like I'm going to pop any minute.

Am 30 weeks

MadameCheese I should have showered last night and then was going to this morning. Thank god for dry hair shampoo

Thank goodness for this thread - 21 weeks and so pooped I keep crying! No energy to cook or clean, regularly come home from work and fall asleep on sofa. Haven't got around to buying many maternity clothes cos it all seems like an insurmountable effort, so currently living in trousers that won't do up under long tops, with pants rolling down from bump as finishing touch. And seem to be more blubber than bump at the mo so self-esteem is on the floor... Sure I'm gonna bloom any bloody second though...

As long as you flicked yourself with a flannel, don't worry Mercedes . Walk up and down a bit and pretend to spot something of interest on the walls. Palace, ha! Try to look after yourself, who cares if you're at home by yourself when there's no-one to sniff you, can you have a nice bath instead of a shower or is this too difficult with the SPD? Hope you really enjoy yourself tonight and are pain free

MoJangles you might be still going through your "pre-bloom" period, with that and that heat, you're bound to feel pooped. I've bought a load of large sized supermarket stuff (Tu seemed best), so didn't have to trawl the shops and it killed two birds with one stone, as I could do it alongside the food shop. My trousers are velvety joggers so under long tops look quite smart. You're also working so you have my admiration

I feel your pain.

I'm 25 weeks and feel tired in general but the last couple of days I feel absolutely dreadful. Permanent headache, feel sick, sooooo tired, joints ache, slightly dizzy and every time I do anything my heart races oh and SPD thrown in. Feeling very sorry for myself!

I am sure I didnt feel this bad with my other 2. Feel bad as my house is a mess and dh has been working from home and has to keep looking after the children.

Considering making a doctors appointment but I dont think I have the energy to go.

madamecheese please enlighten us as we all seem to be in the 'pre-bloom' phase . I think that is an urban myth designed to keep us all in line and thinking this is going to get better...

Just exactly when does the blooming start?

And if one more fucking person tells me how small my bump is (just call me fat why don't you) I shall bloody scream. Since when are they fucking experts?

I think they are being nice but this is from people who know that DS1 was IUGR and less than 4lbs at birth and so IT ISN'T HELPFUL!!!!

Rant over

Lol Merc, I don't believe in it either, but I think my first 20+ weeks were pretty troublsome too, but in a different way. I had about 4 good weeks after that, then the hot weather kicked in and now I feel like poo again. Anyway those people are obviously insensitive twerps so you are within your rights to be peed off with them. lilmiss are you drinking enough? I find I need to drink stupid amounts as have low BP and if I get dehydrated I feel dizzy with a racing pulse. I drink 2 pints and in about 10 minutes feel normal again (water that is ).

Too busy lazy to read the whole thread but.. last time you were pregnant you only had yourself to look after!

Be good to yourself!

me me me, I feel like poo too!!! 28 weeks today and I have cried three times this week because the house is starting to get noticably dirty (nothing too grim just a layer of dust on those tell tale dark surfaces) after weeks of neglect and I really can't find the energy to do anything about it!! when is the nesting supposed to kick in? at least that should come with some energy.

Still have 10 weeks of work left and things are just getting busier, I think they expect me to get through the next 12 months worth of work before I leave. all this as well as starting to train my maternity cover and all I want to is go to sleep by 2pm every day. SPD not helping matters either..

oh well, good luck ladies!! at least there is a light at the end of our bloody long dark tunnels!!!

have a good weekend (sleeping)

Gosh I can't wait till this kid is born, even though I'll have to deal with having a newborn. I'm begining to feel as if anything is better than this misery.

Spent the last few days trying to get through work without collapsing into a corner in a great big heap.

Going to the Docs on Monday, see if they can sort me out.

notnow - yes, i feel the same..more excited about not being pregnant than meeting baby. am 38 weeks too. spd too. heartburn too. and tantrumy 2.5 yr old dd to boot. (at nursery now..and ashamed to admit am dreading her return home as it'll be 3 hours of more tantrums) not to mention the dh who is nowhere near as attentive as he was with dd1...
have just re-read the self indulgent diary i wrote whilst blissfully ignorant and pregnant with dd..i was a different person altogether. this poor mite hasn't had a diary, and i just went to write something and couldn't think of anything positive to say..how bad is that?
ladies, it's good to find somewhere to have a good moan

Oh dear driedapricots

It is shit but it's nearly over

I know where you are coming from with the "Oh, I didn't realise you were PREGNANT!" DP/DH also

3rd time round the novelty has well and truly worn off. It's a good thing he pulls it out the bag once the baby actually arrives is all I can say...

30 weeks tomorrow and also shattered, and grumpier/more emotionally wibbly by the day. Still working (1.5 hour commute each way) but packing up at 34 weeks. Don't mind people commenting on the bump (which is massive and all out the front) but if one more effing person tells me I look tired, or that they noticed in a meeting the other day how puffy my ankles were I shall not be responsible for my actions!!!

I do quite like being pregnant most of the time (this is the first time round for me, but for some of you ladies above you've been pregnant for over two years of your life, so yes, I can understand you're a bit "over it". The only "physical" bits I really don't like are the occasional sudden feeling that I'm going to pass out, and trying to sleep with those sodding pillows we're all supposed to have in bed. Oh, and the crying at nothing, e.g. welling up in WH Smith today when I read that Robbie was rejoining Take That (and I've never been a fan!)

Sympathies to you all - but not long to go for most of us, eh?

I will try and drink more water thanks Madam, think I will also book some blood tests as I was very anaemic with my other 2.

not long to go!! 100 days exactly... and counting!

Me too and only 26 weeks! Recently went to docs as really struggling with work, heat, children - got iron tablets for anaemia and I think it is helping a bit.

Worse thing for me is the SPD/constipation/heartburn/having to crawl to loo all night - seriously hacked off with the physical side of pg now on dc3 - think this will have to be the last time.

Hope you all (and me!) feel miracuously better!

Oh god me too!!!

I'm 30 wks (I think...its funny how with DS I knew the exact number of weeks & days!) and am suffering

Just shattered really and feel enormous. I've got to the point where I simply can't believe I've got another 2 fucking months and am starting to think that it must come early because there's no way I can get bigger/more tired/worse heartburn/less comfortable

I think I had about 4 weeks in the middle where I felt ok.

On the positive side I've only got 1 week left at work and DS will still be at nursery 2 days a week so bring on the sofa!!
